Teachers are welcomed to join #HCPSRead in a book study focused on improving reading practices in the classroom and building lifetime readers. Books will vary and be announced ahead of time.

follow up: I am discovering their word schemas through read alouds and discussions about rich vocabulary in the story. Also, seeing who has prefix/suffix knowledge is eye opening.

Follow-up: During my read aloud each day we discuss ideas and vocabularythe children are struggling with. Also with our daily precept we are constantly discussing quotes, what they mean and hearing new vocabulary there.
