A2: Assimilating all the new information and preparing for the student growth component to the teacher evaluation tool

A2: As a big person, I worry new teachers don't get and fit in right away
A2: The lack of experienced staff and expertise for specific positions. Lo$t mo$t of my bilingual over the summer.

A2:A2: We have lots of teachers new to the profession, so everything from this being their first job to evaluation, planning,etc!
A lot of our veteran staff took their new teammates out over the summer. Helps with culture and assimilation.
But that is why we are there - to help and support teachers through the unknown(s) they face.

What kind of activities - that sounds so cool!
Just lunch but goes a long way to building relationships.
A2 pulin out the heavy: Biggest challenge facing new teachers? We put them w some of our most difficult students. I dnt get it?
A3: D13 has a mentoring program that is very successful due to the individual attention provided by excellent exp. teachers.
A3: We launched our first real induction program for SY17, includes mentoring. Super excited for it!

When I first entered the game that's what we had. Now said dist doesn't have new teacher meetings.

Well of course! A good program can be a deciding factor for a new teacher

A7: Scheduled each year in D13 on the campus (but not formally restricted as such)
A7: I like the idea of both. Read about a 24/7 hotline for teachers to use for emergency help

A7: If we had one, it'd be a combination of both.
