A3 ISTE certification is top to me. But I also see an emerging area and it would be great to create a certification of Innovative or Emerging #edtech and frame it around a protocol. How do we engage in these ways? #NYCSchoolsTechChat
Oh yeah, but @InnovativeEdu said she might be able to bring it to NYC which, right now the trainings in NY aren’t that close (and the cost/time requires a serious commitment) Have you attended an initial training? #NYCSchoolsTechChat

Yes. The new features are amazing. I also love that for students with significant needs you can adapt it similiar to how you would run discrete trials but in a book format. #NYCSchoolsTechChat

A3. Im interested in going to PBS certification because they have good resources I use for my ELA and science classes. I would like to know what resources they offer I'm unaware of. The issue is getting released during the school week during the school year. #NYCSchoolsTechChat
That would be amazing but truthfully I just want to learn so if I learn other things and have to pick @turner4edu brain later I hope she won’t mind! #NYCSchoolsTechChat

A3 It is about @GoogleForEdu. They are the premier innovators of technology plateforms for the @NYCSchools & nationwide. Providing teachers freedom to create learning opportunities like none before them. I would like to see specific training on Google Tools. #nycschoolstechchat
A4 Conniecting with other educators and brainstorming ideas to creatively use the tool in classrooms to help make teachers jobs easier and reach all students. #NYCSchoolsTechChat
A5 The world is now bisected. We live online and in person. We want our students to be their authentic selves in both places. Life is far more global now than ever. The #digcit certifications give tools to support our students in this. #NYCSchoolsTechChat#edtech
A4 It pushes me to keep trying and learning new tools, and building confidence in using them. Most importantly, networking with like-minded #edtech educators to go beyond our limits. #NYCSchoolsTechChat
The connections are key. I think it also has helped me to become a better teacher as I learn each new program I bring something new to share to staff, students and parents that make a difference. #NYCSchoolsTechChat
A5 Support is so vital! With all the demands on a classroom teacher, support needs to be easily accessible to continue to move forward. #NYCSchoolsTechChat
It is absolutely not he same but they do the PBS one online. Maybe if there is a bunch of who can’t get released but are interested in doing it we could almost do an online cohort. #NYCSchoolsTechChat
A4. Attending certification sessions have taught me new tricks to create assessments and communicate with parents and colleagues. I has also helped me connect with teachers and people in the #edtech industry who share their knowledge and experience #NYCSchoolsTechChat
Besides the really cool badges, the knowledge I have gained. For example during Microsoft I learned about Translation. This was amazing for me! I don’t always have someone who can translate and it is so helpful. One road led me down another path. #NYCSchoolsTechChat
I think it’s the holy grail of how do we do more with less. That’s how we got Neverware. Innovation is a key in education until we spend more on education than military. #NYCSchoolsTechChat

A4 I think sometimes it happens by Osmosis. I pursue a certification and I'll be with a classroom teacher and the pieces just snap together, the tool that I became adept at using (sharing) is exactly the thing that will improve this teacher's craft. #NYCSchoolsTechChat
Q5. It's good to hold those certifications because it's evidence that the teacher/professional continues seeking new skills to become more effective. It influences others to also take initiative and stay fresh. Helps environment #NYCSchoolsTechChat#edtech
