    A2 As an elem edu I am fortunate enough to have a daily morning meeting. We use this time to share strategies, practice skills, and develop understanding of how our minds and bodies work. Blue tones, deep breathing, movement, journaling, etc all come into play. #21stedchat

    A2: You can incorporate mindfulness into your lesson plans, you can have a culture appreciation day and talk about different cultures in history. You can use current events (depending on the age of the students) to enlighten them on issues in the current world. #21stedchat

    A2. Teach the students breathing techniques to calm them down and get back to learning. Breathe in through the nose and count to five in your head slowly, then release through the mouth. Do this as many times as needed until you have calmed yourself down #21stedchat

    That's a great way to add mindfulness in the classroom. This year we have a new class in the middle school I work at called wellness. It is right after lunch and allows the students to do different activities. Anything from yoga to coloring to games. #21stedchat

    With a LOT of practice! I remind myself to take deep breaths throughout the day, YOGA is one of my favorite things to do, and just reminding myself to take in the present moment. #21stedchat

    A4. After searching for mindfulness resources in the classroom, I came across many books and videos, as well as guided practices that can be easily done. I'm going to most definitely look for books I can read along with my kids. #21stedchat
