Based on five visits to the school in October by elected officials for National Principals Month, I would describe my school as a happy and joyful place to learn.

I would want them to say that they are willing to support all students through their pocketbooks (taxes). If only the community as a whole truly wanted what was best for all kids. #bfc530

...that this school gets it. They do whatever it takes to prepare every student to thrive in ar rapidly changing world, no exceptions. And no, that doesn't come from test scores, it comes from the real-world application of knowledge that happens in this community. #bfc530

Schools are so much more than places where we learn. Schools should be welcoming and safe. Schools should help every student feel like they belong, like they are capable of success. Schools should turn on light bulbs and encourage curiosity and exploration. #bfc530
I hope they know that we are a community unto ourselves within the greater community and we care deeply about one another and about our students’ futures. #bfc530
That it's not the school some rumours make it out to be. It's not dangerous or tough or academically slack. It's diverse, friendly, and welcoming. Teachers have high expectations & care a lot about the students. Don't believe everything you hear. #bfc530
#bfc530 I want people to know that we are part of a wonderful community. Our connections to each other makes us strong, but our connecctions to the community makes us ever greater.
We have a good number of students leave that 1/2 day anyhow. I would rather have the PD there than MLK Jr's Birthday in January as is done in most years (but then again, my family hosts Thanksgiving so we dont have to travel) #bfc530
and make this more crazy. we started withe 2019 Year 12s this week. I had a clash of timetables with my 2019 Year 12 class on the same time as my 2018 Year 8 class today. Very stressful #bfc530
This weekend, I met the parent of elementary school students in the school district where I teach. He told me heard great things about the middle school where I teach. Definitely filled my with pride for all we do there on a daily basis. #bfc530
Ugh no. And inches of water in the basement had to be pumped out over the past few days from all the snow. So much negative energy that place has #bfc530
It's all started with the 12s. Everyone wanted to meet their next year class and set them up with summer reading etc.
Then it somehow took over the whole school. Yep crazy. #bfc530
I already know our community says that @CBWestHS is a special place, it has soul ❤️ I also want them to know that it is just an extension of Home for students and staff. We are inclusive and caring. #bfc530

Right before we sold our home 3 years ago we had a huge leak in our basement. Luckily insurance covered repairs and we sold anyway. We took a huge hit financially but I'm not looking back. I'm in a better place now. Good luck to you #bfc530
