A2: I wanted something close enough to go back home when I was feeling homesick, but far enough away that my parents (@kevinfetterman1) couldn't stop in whenever they wanted. ;) #wearewayne

How did you #findyourfit?

A1: I was really looking for a community-feeling from my university! I found it at @IUPUISchoolOfEd and @ButlerCOE . I loved having a cohort to rely on, build relationships together, and grow with! #WeAreWayne
A1: Went to a small Catholic high school. Wanted a smaller school that had a solid special education program. Didn’t hurt they gave me a scholarship 😁#wearewayne
A1 Hanover was the perfect fit for me because it is a small liberal arts college with a rich history and amazing academic opportunities. Has a pretty great view too! https://t.co/JtwpYQaKrK#wearewayne
A1 As a teen, I had NO idea what I was doing when it came to the college app process. I knew college was going to be 💵💵💵. That’s it. ⏩⏩ 10 years later, finding a program that fits my schedule and is affordable are my Top 2. #WeAreWayne

I can completely relate to this. And my parents struggled through the process as well. Now, as a parent myself, it can feel daunting as I start to think about how college has changed from when I was a student!

A2 As a mother of an IUPUI/Heron School of Art grad and mother of a future teacher and Senior at Purdue, my number 1 concern is whether the school is a good fit for you. Atmosphere, academics, $$, Scholarship opportunities, history... #wearewayne
A2. I rode the struggle bus in high school. It was imperative for me to find an institution that would provide the support I needed to learn how to be a student. The study skills class I was required to take at @BallState changed my trajectory😎 #wearewayne
A2: You have to find the right fit. Strengths of the majors your are interested in, location of the university, feel of the campus. In the end, which college/university will best prepare you for life? #wearewayne
A3: POSSIBILITIES are ENDLESS. I changed my major 3 times, but always knew I wanted a bachelor's degree. And that degree has opened more doors for me than I ever envisioned. #wearewayne
A3. Opening up a world of new possibilities, meeting people who will become lifelong friends, independence, and gaining skills/ knowledge in your chosen field. #Wearewayne
A3: FACT. My brother finally finished his degree. He was hired immediately, was able to stay in Indianapolis, and has the possibility of earning more than my father in the same field within 3 years. He is so happy he stuck with it and finished, even when it was tough! #wearewayne
A3: find your passion. you can do anything and BE anything. My parents always told me this, but I don't know if I ever really HEARD them until I was older. #wearewayne
It’s funny, I don’t remember there being any. I was so involved in high school that I wanted to give myself a break and see what I was drawn to. I changed majors in the first year, so it wasn’t about programs for me, just knowing I had good options when ready. #wearewayne
Q2: I wanted a college that ‘felt’ right. Butler was a place that I just knew would lift me up and challenge me academically. Their systems made sense to me as well. I wasn’t overwhelmed. #WeAreWayne
A4. I applied to four schools, but already had them ranked in order that I wanted to attend. Of course the other three accepted me first, and while I was grateful I was holding out for IU. When I got that acceptance letter I knew. #wearewayne
A4: I went into college not really knowing what I wanted or what to expect. I knew that I wanted something I could afford, have fun, and have multiple opportunities. #wearewayne
A4: Truth: the most money. I wouldn’t have gone anywhere that didn’t fit “me,” but as the oldest of 3, with a single mom, I needed that kind of help to be able to afford a 4-year degree. #Wearewayne
A4: You have to weigh all of your options. Choose the best fit that is the most affordable. I’ve been impressed with IUPUI. It’s affordable, close to home, and offers many majors. #wearewayne
A5: Make sure to find your voice while in college. Try new things and don’t let fear stop you. You are making decisions that will have a direct impact on your life! The sky is the limit! #wearewayne
A5 Advise: #findyourfit make sure you feel comfortable on campus. Make friends with new people (it’s hard if you’re an introvert like me, but step out of your comfort zone!). STUDY! STUDY! STUDY! But make time to get involved on campus. #WeAreWayne
A5: I wish I had the supports that students at @BenDavisHS and @BDU_Scholars have. Take complete advantage of College Go Week and the counselors available!! #wearewayne is an amazing place for scholars reach one of three E's.
A2: Truthfully, I wanted to leave Indiana just to see what was out there. I ended up staying in the state once I found out my tuituion would be paid for as long I attended college in the state where my father lived because he earned the Purple Heart during Vietnam. #WeAreWayne
A5 Go visit often. Speak to many current students/former students. Find something that is affordable for you. Apply for as many scholarships as you can! Every little bit will help so student loans won't be an issue later in your career! #wearewayne
A5: College is a powerful mix of inside and outside the classroom. Find a school that will provide you with the scholarly experience you want, but will also help make you the type of citizen you want to be. Look for leadership opportunities, clubs, organizations, etc #WeAreWayne
A5: it’s okay to not know what you want to study. Find a place that fits who you are and is where you want to be! Focus on your basic requirements til you find your passion. #wearewayne
A5: I to wish the same opportunities were available went I went through BD many years ago. Very proud of what we currently offer our scholars! #WeAreWayne
