Twitter Chats are a great way for you and other educators to collaborate, generate new ideas, and discuss various Edmodo-topics. During Twitter Chats, moderators lead a conversation on Twitter about a specific topic using a pre-determined #hashtag on every tweet, and participants can join in the conversation by responding with that #hashtag.
The amazing Edmodo Support Ambassadors organize a Twitter Chat every first and third Sunday of the month at 8pm Eastern using the hashtag #edmodochat.
Welcome to #EdmodoChat, everyone! I will be moderating the #EdmodoChat today with Kimberley Moran from @WeAreTeachers. So, please make sure to follow both of us!

A1 Very proud of the work Ss did during our first year of #PBL and this year how we connected w other classes thru @edmodo , also doing flexible learning as well #Edmodochat
Q2: #Edmodochat - Before we start talking about goals and objectives for 2018 what is the justification for setting strong professional goals for yourself? How/Why should you model this to your students?
#Edmodochat Start 2018 right by becoming an Edmodo certified trainer and deepen your use of Edmodo, train others and earn some PD hours! For experienced Edmodo users, online training starts Jan 28th - Taught by @KtBkr4https://t.co/9v1QovbOme … … #edmodolove
A3: When personal objectives are directly & clearly connected to the broader goals of the or school, they’re suddenly more inspiring, less myopic. Make them public so everyone can see what’s on their co-workers’ plates! #edmodochathttps://t.co/hwMO1WDMDs
A2 It keeps me focused, decide how to work toward them, how to deal with challenges, Ss need to set goals and make plans too, need to have support #edmodochat
#edmodochat A2 It is important to use Design Thinking when planning and assessing students to optimize time, resources and manage classes with student voice and choice .timely feedback and decisions supported by reflection , metacognition and action.
Q3: After a break, how do you refocus yourself and your students? What will you do to get everyone on track towards achieving unified goals? #EdmodoChat
A2: Setting prof goals gives us a road map. It gives us a sense of direction and allows for deviation when needed. I showcase my goals in my room when helping my Ss set theirs 4 the 2nd half of the school year. They can see it has meaning & not just a fad. #Edmodochat
Q2: #Edmodochat - Before we start talking about goals and objectives for 2018 what is the justification for setting strong professional goals for yourself? How/Why should you model this to your students?
A3 Plan some activities that give Ss time to interact and for me to move around, talk with them, ease back into the class routine but have fun with it #edmodochat
A3 When I was in the classroom, after break we'd revisit our September goals, as well as out classroom agreements (5th grade) that would be the starting point for our new year. #EdmodoChat
A3- I always start by giving my students the learning targets we are working on for the quarter. This acts as a nice roadmap of where we are going. #Edmodochat

A3 I think getting everyone to set their own goals and admit to one challenge they need to overcome this quarter helps focus on next steps instead of becoming overwhelmed. #Edmodochat
A3: I begin with a #NewYearsResolution hyperdoc I created and a revisitation of their personal reflections/goals from the beginning of the school year. We also focus on our class mission and make adjustments if needed. #Accountability#Edmodochat

Q4: #EdmodoChat - As educators we'd probably all like to have more productive students. How does classroom climate affect students? What strategies do you recommend for keeping students motivated and productive?
