My 2019 resolution is to become more balanced. I tend to work until I drop and that doesn't end well. My classroom is not going anywhere. I can afford to take time out for myself. #ecechat
A1: My #oneword is FOCUS... often times the workload can get overwhelming but this year I am committing to making a list & checking things off, staying focused #ECEchat
A1: Flourish is my @getoneword I choose it because I find myself finding reasons of why not to pursue things mainly self doubt due to the opinions or influence of others. I need to be more confident. #ECEchat
A1. My goal for 2019 is to make more me time and self care and being more present in the moments at home. I am often exhausted and just in need of mindless time or in a rush to get school work done. I need to make time for me and my family! #ECEchat
A1 My #oneword2019 is BELIEVE. Believe in the power of positivity🌟
Believe in the power of myself and my PLN 🙌 Believe in the possibilities of 2019 🎉 Just Be and Leave 2018 with eyes focused on the potential of the future. 💥#ECEChat
A2. I think goals give us purpose and a drive to achieve. It’s important to be held accountable to what you set as a goal. I like setting goals as a teacher and having my kiddos set goals too. Even with the littles if you help them to see it they can do it! #ECEchat
A1: My word is #growth. I picked the word b/c I want to grow as a professional as a leader in my school/community. I also want to help my Ss achieve high growth in reading and math through small group instruction #EceChat#ShineBogerBright#KidsDeserveIt
Q2 Goal setting is important because it gives us the opportunity to better ourselves. When I set goals for myself, I look for areas in my personal or professional life I want to grow in and go from there. #ecechat
A2. Goal setting is great, but for me, the part that I need most is an action plan! Did anyone else read Girl Wash Your Face?! That book motivated a little fire under my booty to get busy. #ECEchat
A2 Goal setting is important to me because there are so many things that I want to accomplish. Setting goals helps me focus on realistic timeframes and accomplish small milestones along the way that will support my bigger ideas. #ECEChat
A2: For me, goal setting is critical for personal accountability. When I set a goal for myself with specific parameters I am FAR more likely to be successful. Even if I do not achieve it I feel a greater sense of accomplishment simply from the process #ecechat
A2: I write my goals in a journal. I need to get better at setting goals through out the year and evaluating my progress towards achieving these goals because they are more than an empty #NewYearsResolution#ECEChat#GoalSetting#Goals#Goals2019
Have you heard of Michael Hyatt? He has a book called Living Forward. He guides you in writing a life plan. It is awesome! https://t.co/NNNNzhnCTP#ECEchat
A3. I’ve been learning more about @ConsciousD It’s so applicable!!!! I use it when subbing, at home with my kids, and occasionally with my husband. Ha! 😹 #ECEchat
A3: I attended the @Ecet2Mn and learned so much incredible information about play-based learning in Kindergarten. Excited to continue to add what I learned to my classroom! #ecechat
A3: it’s okay to step away or take a break and come back to a task or conversation, growth happens with time and continuous effort, I’ve got to say no sometimes to focus on major priorities #ECEchat
A2: I set weekly goals on a piece of paper because I love to cross them off. I keep the paper because I wrote notes about the bigger goals and find it helpful to stay accountable #ECEchat
A3 At the end of last semester we learned that we would receive funding to implement our first After School Program. We are excited to have it started and can’t wait to see how it impacts our students. 🍎#ECEChat
A3: I attended a conference led by @Ecet2Mn with @KatyMN12 and learned so much incredible information about play-based learning in Kindergarten. Excited to continue to add what I learned to my classroom! #ecechat
Q4: What is a New Year goal you have for your class for the remainder of the school year & how will you lead your class/students in achieving this goal? #ECEchat
It is amazing. I learned about it last year and read “ easy to love difficult to discipline” and participated in a book club lead by teachers and invited parents from my son’s amazing PK school. #MFWC#TeachCabCo#ECEchat
A4 I'm so lucky this year and have an extremely well-mannered class who are eager to learn. I'm going to continue with our Leader in Me program to keep helping them grow into the leaders I know they can be. #ecechat
A4- my goal is to have my students know all their letters and sounds. We have been working hard to practice in many different ways. We are on our way to bring readers! #ECEchat
A4 Our letter boot camp has been a success for two years; doing shape and number boot camp for first time. Our goal is to have 4s mastered in letters/sound, shapes & numbers thru 30 by end of April. #ecechat
Q4: What is a New Year goal you have for your class for the remainder of the school year & how will you lead your class/students in achieving this goal? #ECEchat

RT Q4: What is a New Year goal you have for your class for the remainder of the school year & how will you lead your class/students in achieving this goal? #ECEchat
A4: I would like to continue to increase the amount of choice my students have on a daily basis. Though structure and clear boundaries are important, I also want my students to be independent thinkers who are intrinsically motivated to learn #ecechat
Q4: What is a New Year goal you have for your class for the remainder of the school year & how will you lead your class/students in achieving this goal? #ECEchat
A4: This one is difficult not because we don’t have goals but because it’s difficult to just choose one. Everyday we set a class daily goal in hopes to prepare for next year. #ECEchat
A4: I would like to continue to increase the amount of choice my students have on a daily basis. Though structure and clear boundaries are important, I also want my students to be independent thinkers who are intrinsically motivated to learn #ecechat
A5 We introduced Ss to goal setting before break by using Squirrels New Years Resolution book. We work on the goal that each student wrote/set for themselves. #ecechat
A5 I know I've previously mentioned it, but I have to give a shout-out to the @TheLeaderinMe. It works, even with my little ones. They're four and five years old and they caught on so quickly to it. #ecechat
A5 I think it’s important for students to know what they are learning & celebrate their accomplishments. I like to see it tracked/discussed or managed in a way that isn’t punitive or negative. Ex- here are the letters I know and these are the ones I’m working on. #ECEChat
