Good evening #HISDAdminChat! Dan at ConditES and I had a great conversation with my daughter on the way to Sunday school about our family members who had served our country in the military.
A1. I am grateful for people that don't get comfortable where they are at. Those people that are always looking for ways to learn and get better. I appreciate them and I am inspired by them. #HISDAdminChat
A1: Something Iam grateful for as a leader are the people i get to work with daily. From my admin team to the teachers to the front office staff to the support staff. They make my job easy. They really take care of me. #blessed#HISDAdminChat
A1: Something I am grateful as a leader is that with few exceptions, I am given opportunities to lead (and occasionally fail). Either way, we process and I'm given more opportunities. #HISDAdminChat
Something I am grateful for as a leader is the people I get to be surrounded by each day. The teachers, administrators, students, clerks, community members, custodians etc. that I get to grow with. Nothing like it! #HISDAdminChat
A1) I am grateful as a leader that I am given the freedom and space to express my strengths in my own way. I’m also grateful that I am challenged to be better each day and given opportunities to make that happen #hisdadminchat
A1: Something I’m really grateful for as a leader is our staff & community who stick with us and remain positive despite our challenges due to Harvey.. #JCMFam#HISDAdminChat#JCMGreat
A1: Something I'm really grateful for as a leader is the opportunity to develop a panoramic view of education and still witness excellent educators in action. #HISDAdminChat
A2: it builds character and recognizes the contribution of others; nobody should ever feel like they are alone and building a sense of gratefulness combats that. #HISDAdminChat
A2. Its important! If you don't, not everyone will. Your school community knows the struggles and breakthroughs. You MUST celebrate to keep the momentum. #HISDAdminChat
A2. Students, teachers, families need to know that their work is seen and appreciated. Showing gratitude acknowledges that the work they are doing is making a difference. Be sincere and specific #HISDAdminChat
A2) Offering gratitude actually impacts the brain in a positive way & so it's healthy. Receiving gratitude from others (without deflecting) offers respect to them while reminding them that you see them & that they matter. #HISDAdminChat
I am reading Dare to Lead @BreneBrown and its talking about this exact thing! Gratitude is a practice and I believe the more we practice is the more we connect with others. It opens our hearts and allows us experience joy!!! That joy infects our culture. #HISDAdminChat

A2: The work we do is hard.. & we may not always get the thanks that’s needed so it’s impt to remember all the things we are truly blessed with & that we r blessed to do this work (not everybody can) & lift each other up by reminding one another of this #grateful#HISDAdminChat
The one-to-one relationship between a student and teacher is the most important piece in making ALL kids smarter and stronger every day. Thank you to each educator committed to this work. #HISDAdminChat
A3. Thank you. Thank you for doing what you do for kids. Thank you for your sacrifice to better the next generation. You're appreciated. We are a team. Its because of you that we're able to be great! #HISDAdminChat
A3) see how hard you are working and how much value you bring to Tanglewood each day. Now turn your email off, rest, and enjoy the things that give you life. You deserve it! #HISDAdminChat
Hi guys! Sliding in late (as usual) A2: Because when we appreciate our blessings, we are kinder, more empathetic people. And there is nothing our nation needs more right now than kindness and empathy. #BeyondSTAAR#HISDAdminChat
A3. The message I have for teachers is that they matter, and the work they engage in matters every day. The impact that a single conversation may have can change a life. Their work is important and valued. #HISDAdminChat

A1: I’m #grateful for an amazing ELA team, that’s open to coaching and feedback, willing to take risks, try new and develop their peers. Not to mention, they come to work each day, ready to give 110% for our scholars! #HISDAdminChat@CarterTCOB@laquana62736335@MCWSTEM
A2: People must know how much you appreciate them. In the hustle & bustle of closing the achievement gap, it’s easy to put showing #gratitude to the side. However, if we want to keep everyone fully invested in our mission w/ joy, we must say thank you regularly. #HISDAdminChat
