My favorite new tool is @Seesaw because it is easy to use and it promotes parent connections by sending them notifications in real time when students post their work #bfc530
#bfc530 when I was teaching, @RemindHQ was a lifesaver for communicating with students and parents/guardians. Announcements by text. How more culturally-proficiently can you communicate??
I have ben using my iPad for years now on a daily basis. Notes, walkthroughs, messages on the go, basically everything when I am not at my desk. It's a lifesaver! #bfc530
My favorite tech tool ... the kids. The kids are my favorite tech tool. They have the ability to do so much regardless of what new tool we put in front of them. #bfc530
My corporation does not put an emphasis on technology. Sadly, I have chosen not to keep up with the newest tools to make education easier. I need tools to use tools. My corporation issued IPad 2 is a time waster. #bfc530
I am loving all the new communication tools that teachers and parents can use together. And on the parent side—love @Seesaw! So fun seeing what my kiddo is working on. #bfc530
I use sites and apps like flipgrid, Biblionasium, Kahoot, padlet, but what I really need to do is switch over to google classroom for my webpage, etc and it feels overwhelming to redo it all... #bfc530
Google Keep is great for quick reminder notes. I use @RemindHQ to communicate with staff & parents, & @hootsuite to post to r social media accounts during the day #bfc530
Agreed ... I like Flipgrid but many kids were like “why would I want to sit in front of that and record when I can make a quality edited video in iMovie and share in google classroom” ... point for the kid. #bfc530

I will stick with my favorite @GoogleKeep however I’m really focusing more on good solid instruction and practices. The use of tech and tools to enhance instruction but old tech like pencils, books and paper if that’s what works. #bfc530
Pssst - the question bank has run dry!

Good conversations and spending time with students, staff and others in the community are always the greater priority for me...even though tech tools can be a valuable ‘enhancer’ when it comes to teaching and learning! #bfc530
I dig tech and use lots of it but to be quite honest we have now entered the time we tech apps are becoming redundant and we are being suckered into moving into something “new” that is the same as what we already have only with new hype and new add one to buy. #bfc530
Some school leaders think it’s cool to hang badges around students’ necks and label them as failures. It’s not cool; it’s an egregious policy that must stop. Time to #LeadForward.

Happy Tuesday! My S’s are starting to learn about the bombardment of @fortmchenrynps today via @_HISTORYChannel video. I’ll do some more in depth things this week. #bfc530
Ahhh the rollouts. I have a similar situation. There is a tool that we are expected to use. I’ve used it years ago and am so over it... there are newer things more effective for me. I look forward to conversation about my decision #iknowwhatworksforme#bfc530
G’day! David joining late from Sydney, Australia! Great Q. One tool worth a read/Annual Horizon Report. A summary is attached but download it & have a read, then ask how well are current #edtech tools serving our needs now and into the future. See: https://t.co/NAvgC6RXpO#bfc530

I would add-find the tools that support your pedagogy for your Ss. If #edtech isn’t doing that for you & your Ss find something that does. If you’re teaching Gr7 Ss to draw in perspective in Art, pencil & paper might be best tech at that moment, later introduce the Apps. #bfc530
My iPad is my daily tech tool, I use it for all my tasks 😊 I like seeing a variety of tech tools in use in classrooms, kids and their knowledge never cease to amaze me! #bfc530 👍
We built something similar these into Grad at Grad competencies & wrote rubrics based on the Illinois SEL Standards. We are just rolling it out this year but the goal is to have Ss reflect on how they are meeting these standards and for staff to use them to assess growth. #bfc530
We thought we had a really, really good fake, and somebody didn't block a guy they were supposed to block, and so it didn't work," Saban said. "So it was a bad call. It's always that way."
Is it just me or can this be said about almost every play?
