A1: It’s providing a window into your classroom/school. Sharing the story, being a champion for education and showing off our rock star students and their learning journey. #CFISDchat
Classroom branding is part of how we build our class beyond the walls of our classroom. To reach out globally and have a place where people can reach and share with you! Its what makes your classroom unique and authentic to you! #cfisdchat
A1: Classroom and school branding helps newcomers, parents, and the school community get to know you and your culture quickly so those relationships can be built strong and fast. #CFISDchat
Making your classroom a unique place and experience. One with understood values and goals. Like a company “brand”, student know what to expect in your room. Some teachers use slogans and logos and abbreviations, but it’s more than that. #CFISDchat

A1- Classroom Branding- finding what works for you and your students and then sharing that story with anyone who will listen (or read) about it! #CFISDchat
A1: Classroom branding is your classroom’s unique identity. It is sharing the great things going on inside your classroom and connecting globally. #CFISDchat

A1: I have never thought about classroom branding, but here is a really interesting podcast about personal branding. I think it could definitely apply to teachers too #CFISDchat @beingbossclub https://t.co/xVdZozoZ0y
Classroom branding is developing an idea of what the class stands for and what they aim for. A classroom’s brand is the culture, the relationships, the products, the conversations. It describes the entire classroom as a whole. It’s everything. #CFISDchat
A1: Classroom Branding is making a name for yourself, your class, and your school. It what makes your class unique. It’s showing and SHARING all the amazing things that are going on in your class and school, but more importantly, how AMAZING your students are! ♥️ #CfisdChat
A2: It’s important to brand your classroom because it gives you the opportunity to share your classroom story instead of other people making up the story for you. #cfisdchat
A2 We have to control the narrative. Share what is going on in our room. It opens the door to our community! We are all doing great things in our class and its important we share so we can encourage and uplift each other. I've learned SO MUCH from my PLN #cfisdchat
A2 it helps provide a common goal for all students. The brand that you endorse will encompass their different interests and will help them buy into the work they are producing #CFISDchat
A2: it’s important o brand your classroom to have students take ownership in their learning and be proud of the class their in. Also to be able to share ideas and have other educators give feedback to continuously improve! #cfisdchat
A2 As a school, we can control the narrative. We are sharing the awesome in our classroom and schools, it is letting others into our classroom. It can open doors for community involvement as well! #CFISDchat
A2: It gives your classroom an unique identity that sets it apart from other classrooms. I.e. the tech forward classroom, the kindness matters atmosphere, etc. #cfisdchat
A2: It’s so important to share what is happening in your classroom/school. That transparency builds trust, respect and often collaboration beyond the walls of the classroom and the campus. #CFISDchat
A2: For me a “branded” classroom becomes a “tag” so to speak - I know some experts to go to for certain topics. It’s identity on a “social media” scale #CFISDchat
A2 it helps provide a common goal for all students. The brand that you endorse will encompass their different interests and will help them buy into the work they are producing #CFISDchat
A2- I feel branding is our way of giving not only parents and stakeholders an insight into our rooms but it’s our way of connecting our students with the outside world #CFISDchat
A2: Branding your classroom and/or school helps communicate your values and expectations towards learning (social emotional and academics). It shows that you care about the whole child & every single stakeholder involved from parents to the community and beyond. #CFISDchat
A2: I think branding our classroom helps build the culture in our classes. If kids know they are going to be shown off they might put a little more effort into their work. #cfisdchat
A2: Branding my classroom will enable my school's stakeholders to know what my philosophy on learning is and how I strive for student-centered learning each and every day. #cfisdchat
A2: I think it is important to “brand” your classroom because I feel it gives direction and motivation for students. Students and others know what to expect. I feel like it also builds trust and you are able to share all the good that is happening on a daily basis. #CFISDchat
A2: All eyes are on us. This is an opportunity to share the amazing things happening in our classroom and in our school. Create an environment that is welcoming and where success happens. People will notice, and they will follow. #CFISDchat
A2 - It allows us to share all the great things going on in our classrooms not only with parents and the community but other educators as well which would hopefully inspire others! #cfisdchat
I feel like @mcnairan3 I heard say "When kids make it for the world they want it to be good-- when they make things for us; they want it to be 'good enough'" #cfisdchat
A2: I think branding our classroom helps build the culture in our classes. If kids know they are going to be shown off they might put a little more effort into their work. #cfisdchat
I think a classroom brand also gives students the motivation to share and brag on themselves and their learning. True ownership, reason for collaboration, and self-confidence to show what they know. #cfisdchat
Ss think it is so cool when others notice their work! It gives them confidence. My Ss ask me to share all the time now! They keep me accountable #CFISDchat

A3: We have slowly but surely adopted social media branding both at the classroom level and campus wide level. We’ve had parents register their child and tell us they heard great things about us on social media so they moved to our zone. #CfisdChat
A3 @AultElem does a 👍🏽 job of showcasing all of the awesomeness that goes on during the daily grind We also showcase the amazingness that happens before & after school 🙌🏽👏🙌🏽 #teamault#CFISDchat
A3: We have our hashtag #WeAreSalyards. It’s great to flip through the hashtag and see what’s happening in our school. We have twitter challenges. A lot of teachers have joined twitter but now we need more parents to check it out. Any ideas how? #cfisdchat
A3 at @CFISDWells we use #ExploreWells. Anyone can search our hashtag and see what we are doing EVERY DAY. We also have a screen in the front that shows our tweets with the hashtag. #CFISDchat
A3: My campus also brands itself through social media and a lot of teachers have gotten on board as well. It definitely gives insight into the wonderful things going on during the school day for parents and other educators to see #cfisdchat
A3: I think @KirkElementary has definitely adopted “branding” — whether it be — via Twitter, opening our campus to the district and others besides @CyFairISD, and/or having teachers, administration, staff, & students that genuinely want to share & learn from others. #CfisdChat
A3:we didn’t have a set # this great, but we will next year! That’s key for branding - but our @kahlams twitter PLC is growing and branding is next step! #CFISDchat
A3: Having teachers share their “brand” on Twitter has helped us reach our parents on Facebook (where they interact with us more) by sharing many of the great things happening. Was a #LeadLAP tip from @BethHouf at @great_educators this year. Can even do a graphic... #CFISDchat
YES! So very proud of our campus’ effort to share with our community what is happening on our campus. We are excited to spread the happy to others! #TigersRoar#CFISDchat
A3- We have started this process on my campus. But I personally have a way to go with my classroom branding. My goal is to stretch our reach beyond just my parents and colleagues this year. #CFISDchat
A3: I think @KirkElementary has definitely adopted “branding” — whether it be — via Twitter, opening our campus to the district and others besides @CyFairISD, and/or having teachers, administration, staff, & students that genuinely want to share & learn from others. #CfisdChat
A3: At Cy Park we use #ITT (It’s Tiger Time) and #RiseUp which is part of motto. Consistent graphics, logos on all material that go out. I’m personally huge on branding so a logo, with set fonts, etc very important. I’m not in classroom so this is school wide efforts #CFISDchat
A4 Tweet, tweet, tweet! Also, Insta, Insta, Insta (Instagram) for students. I have a classroom Instagram, they think it is so cool to follow me. Make sure your #hashtag is unique. #CFISDchat
A4: Share and post often! Keep reminding stake holders about and encourage them to follow. Use multiple social media forums. Get the s’s to share and post, parents want to see what their kids are doing! #CFISDchat
A3- our school is starting to think about branding on social media. Admin has set a great stage for us. This next year, I hope to encourage a giant step in the Twitter world so that we can share “what’s good” at #CFISDEmmott. #CFISDchat
A2| To tell your class/school’s story through your eyes. It helps parents & supporters feel like they are there along with their kids. They want to be connected..we have to show them the good that is happening in our schools. #cfisdchat#bangbears
A4: A class hashtag can help build your brand by collecting all of your fab tweets. Try #KidTweets (idea from @TechNinjaTodd) to get parents on board and become student-centered. Make stickers on Avery labels for when you tweet a S’s work that they can wear. #CFISDchat
A4 Teachers can grow their brand by tweeting out the great things they’re doing in class and their great ideas. It creates a community w/ their kids & with likeminded teachers #CFISDchat
Twitter has definitely helped brand my classroom and share what we are up to in our classroom. I also keep close relationships between my kids and admin. Admin visits us frequently for celebrations, discussions and projects. Open door policy in Mrs. Ybarra’s room! #cfisdchat
A4: Growing your brand means to share what’s going on in your classroom through social media. Getting the Ss excited about learning and taking risks and trying new activities to share and talk about. Having fun with learning and getting Ss and parents involved #CFISDchat
A3: we are working on, and are slowing moving in that direction. I’m excited that we are getting more teachers to brand our school @WarnerCFISD#cfisdchat
Most of @MatzkeElemCFISD IG followers and likes come from our 4th and 5th graders as well as former S’s. I LOVE when former S’s like the posts! #CfisdChat
A4: I think it can be most effective when teachers allow time in class for Ss to post using the classroom hashtag. Make it part of your daily reflection! #CFISDchat
A4: Make conscientious effort to publicize one's efforts to share at beginning of year and then share often with parents - all the fabulous things happening in the classroom and around the school. #cfisdchat
A4: by following and growing your #PLN, and promoting it with your parents. I love that parents from previous years still follow me. I feel like @WarnerCFISD we are all one big family! #CFISDchat
My 6th graders from @HopperMS 2 years ago, still like my posts and will comment on Insta. I love that they can keep in contact through Social Media #CFISDchat

A4: Tweet and TAG!!! Using hashtags is a gamechanger! Also PUT OUT MATERIAL! If you are doing something you're excited about in your classroom-- SHARE! I shared a doc I was real proud of last week and was so pumped at the traffic it got! Respond, Reply, and CONNECT! #cfisdchat

A4 continued... and likewise, project the hashtag posts from the day before as students enter class or as part of the warm up. You could have data from a reflection posted to social media.. serves so many purposes! Branding and on going assessment of an activity. #CFISDChat
A4 use social media often, especially Twitter, to show admin and parents what is happening day to day. Teachers should also be sharing as much as they can to offer insight to help others capitalize on their own brand! #cfisdchat
A4: Share, share, share, but also involve your students. Building your brand with them will expand it, build community & ownership, and motivate your students! Create a class hashtag as well as a campus one! #CFISDchat
A4: different social media sites - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter. Find out what your stakeholders use & join it. Other applications - @GoogleForEdu@Flipgrid@Seesaw, etc. allow parents to see work. Get out there and try different things. Publish student work on sites. #CfisdChat

A4- What if we asked our class to create a hashtag especially for their class? Give them ownership so they will have a goal to focus on as they participate, create and share. #CFISDchat
Use more video people want to connect with a face sometimes...#cfisdchat Follow @ms_ctran & @Jkgassaway...great examples of how to brand your classrooms.
Tweet out photos and videos of what's happening in the classroom! You dont have to post 25933838 photos. Pick photos that highlight you classroom, tag and use hashtags. It all goes uphill from there! #cfisdchat
A3 extension. you lead the charge! Tweet everything good that’s going on in your class at least once a day. Find a techie AP or admin who can run the school account. Have them retweet & like everything you do. Get a few teachers on board one by one. Spread the love! #CFISDChat
My 6th grader last year was so excited when her collaborative group made @TraceySelmon’s LA @instagram page. When she told me about it that night, I was proud to say “Yep, I saw it while I was at work.” 😏 #workingparent#CFISDChat

A5: I am so proud of the Ts & staff members of @HemmenwayStreak who have taken a leap and have begun to brand their work. Even the retweets help! I also have to share one of my literary heroes @romenendez14 who brands her library so well! Really reaches those authors! #CFISDchat
I tweeted out things I wanted to see on @ClassroomScreen and they responded and updated it quickly! I also shared with @appear_in how I was using their product to help students and they responded so warmly!!! #cfisdchat

A4: Share, share, share, but also involve your students. Building your brand with them will expand it, build community & ownership, and motivate your students! Create a class hashtag as well as a campus one! #CFISDchat
A6: we have to change the narrative of public education. There are so many different points of view today, we have to get our story out there to show others we are doing great things! #CfisdChat
A6: Honestly because we need good news in public schools now more than ever. We are under fire from all directions and we don’t want to give community members a reason to look elsewhere! #isupportpubliceducation@CFISDCLC#cfisdchat
A6: we hear so much negative in this world. It is crucial to share the amazing things that are going on in your classroom to promote your positive classroom, school, and district. #CFISDchat
A6 As more and more gets digitized and put on social media, it’s better to embrace and thrive on this change than to fight it. The possibilities of education and social media is limitless! #cfisdchat
A6: Have been reading about the importance of student mentors (secondary Ss need prof mentors to soar) and research shows ~50% of jobs are attained by relationships, not resumes. Connecting Ss to the world is going to greatly benefit them. #CFISDchat
A5: Proud of my school for sharing our brand! @HemmenwayStreak My principal @PrinSilliman is awesome. I love how much she encourages us to share the great things happening in our classrooms. Her encouragement and excitement makes me proud to share! #cfisdchat
A6: show the POSITIVE news that should be in the news about education! We are rockin' the learning and the students are enjoying their learning. Why not display all the tech forward and innovative things we are doing in public education. #cfisdchat@CyFairISD
A6: Fabulous things are happening in all of our schools around the globe! It's important to shine the light of positivity on all things schools, students, teachers, and LEARNING! #cfisdchat#schoolsareawesome
A6 As more and more of our life turns digital, it’s important to embrace a classroom brand than to fight it. Never pass up an opportunity of showing student taking ownership of the learning process. The world needs to see that! #cfisdchat
A6 We have to show what is actually happening-- not just what is "perceived" to be happening. The more transparent we are the more trust that is built. Public ed is under fire everywhere-- we have to show the great! We have to show the great our kids and teachers do! #cfisdchat
A4: Grow brand by tweeting—using hashtags (including for district, school, team & class). Have started spreading positivity & my thoughts via #HeardItFromHankins & started a blog using same name w/♥️ emoji. My partner & I also have a combined Twitter @KidsDeserveHaM#CFISDchat
A6 We have to show all the awesome happening in Public Schools. It is so easy for negative news to spread through SM, we need that positive to spread faster and more! #cfisdchat
A6: We have to be an advocate for education and break down those walls of assumptions! Let the world see how amazing our students, staff and schools are everyday! #matzkeproud#CFISDChat
A6 There are so many great things happening in schools. There are great kids and dedicated teachers. Awesome things happen every day in schools and we need to share that with the public! #CFISDchat
A6:It’s hard for others to be neg or not get excited when your sharing the 👍 things going on in your classroom/school. It builds community across district/state/world w/other educators. We need to share the good in education & where better to start than your own class!#cfisdchat
A6: Simple. To allow people to see the amazing things happening in our schools. To inspire others to build culture in their classroom and develop their own brand. One of my favorite sayings is, “spread the happy!” and this is one way to do it! #cfisdchat
A6 I just love to show off my kids & talk about what we do. For instance, when they read one million words, that’s a big deal & we celebrate. We also like to show off projects, active learning, unique ideas... #CFISDchat
A6: It’s very important to brand our classrooms to allow the public to see all the wonderful and positive things happening in our schools today. Also to share ideas of what works and how to better our skills of teaching. #cfisdchat
A7: My tip for front loading ur brand is have a Note in @GoogleKeep to track your ideas - maybe blog ideas or YouTube video ideas to share w/ the world. Consider giving to our profession all of ur wonderful ideas. So inspired by @jmattmiller at #TXGoo18 to share more. #CFISDchat
A7 Coming up with a Dept hashtag, and figuring out a class hashtag and a way to embed it on whatever I send out. I want to do more graphic tweets to send out. #cfisdchat
A7: we are working on our year theme and will have a # tied to it - but also growing our @kahlams Twitter PLC will be a focus in coming year! #CFISDchat
A7: sharing special things you are prepping or planning on using throughout the year. I am excited to use @Flipgrid again this year for the beginning of the year. It really builds the culture in our classroom. The as love to share! #CfisdChat

A7: For the upcoming school year you can give insight of what to expect. Pictures, ideas, or activities you might use. This can begin the branding for the upcoming school year. And not to forget to network through Twitter #CFISDChat
A7: For Ts I recommend beginning to think of how you can involve students in it from the start (even before school begins)... also, get your name, hashtag and school out there, lay the ground work by posting intriguing content videos and posts so it’s ready for students to see.
A7 I’m going to encourage my teachers to create classroom hashtags. I’m also going to make a real effort to tweet about our summer work and back to school happenings. #CFISDchat
Thank you everyone for an awesome #CFISDchat. Thank you @AggiePuckett for guest moderating. Follow others in tonight's chat to grow your #PLN and share your brand!
