And yet it's not specifically taught in college! https://t.co/RJ3KIUhxM5
I too have that broad spectrum. Some reading emergent reading books, others IDing letter in name. Differentiating is a must!
A2 our Ss need to know that we will support them no matter where they are or what they face. Ss need to feel safe and trust Ts
Yes having a responsive caregiver is foundational, definitely need to address family needs.
A2: If not us, then who? We are their voices.
Hello I'm Angela a K teach from MN and back home from pilates - what was I thinking?!
A2. We are an advocate for our Ss. If we don't speak up for their needs who will?
A1: Autonomy, independence
A2 we want all kids to succeed and enjoy school. One size fits all does not work!
A2: We need to build upon what they already know (background knowldedge) to help them make connection to new learning.
A2- EC Educators build the foundation for a strong educational career. We prepare for academics, social/emotional and more!
We may be the only stability in their life. Their 1 true coach and champion. We have to put it all out there every day for them!
Well said! https://t.co/YKab6PxUb7

A2 I worry about the term ‘responsive’ I see many people think it’s enough to celebrate “multicultural day’ or put up a poster :(
Beautifully put https://t.co/VWKebxbkbs
A2 Children need to be fully "seen" and appreciated for their complexities, strengths and challenges
A2: This is where it all starts!! This is the first exposure that sets them up for success & love of learning!
EC is a critical time for development, we need to differentiate so we can move the needle during this small window of opportunity.

Absolutely Keri. Maslow before Blooms! https://t.co/W2UvvtQuEq
If we can't meet their most immediate needs (Maslow), we can't meet their academic ones. We have to know and care about their story
Amen! https://t.co/MkI9WdO9Jx
A2:We have to be able to cater to each Ss.If we want them to be successful. Ss can be reading while others do not know any letters.

Is it sufficient for t’s to only be equipped w/ ESL strategies? Your suggestions ? https://t.co/egiMnJ5PN4
A1 I work with organizations/schools all over the US- they always have MORE than 2 languages - rarely have staff to match
RT Q3: How does your school support the range of students and their various needs in your school? https://t.co/t9Ho4GwCYg
