Welcome to #WeAreWayne Twitter chat! I will be hosting tonight. Please introduce yourself, (name, school, position) and how many years you have been involved in Education. Remember to use #WeAreWayne and A1, A2, etc...Our topic tonight is Teachers Supporting Teachers.
A1: The best advice I have received is to make sure that you find balance between work and home. Teaching can be an endless job-set limits. #wearewayne
A1: Best advice was relationships first! Taking time to build relationships with students, teammates, colleagues, and parents is imperative for success! (Came from twitter-less grandfather, who is a retired principal!) #wearewayne
A1: âIf a question is important enough to ask, all students should get to answer it!â - Bonnie Bishop. Instead of only calling on 1 student at a time, I learned to implement ways to hear from all my students. #WeAreWayne
Hi #wearewayne! Sorry I'm late. Amanda Moore, 4th grade @CWECHAMP. A1: The best advice I've been given- Ts don't have to do everything right the first time. Ts are learners, just like their Ss. It's good to take risks!
A2: Besides forming relationships, I would suggest always being willing to grow. Soak up every little bit of knowledge that comes your way and know that everyday you will learn something new, if you are open to it, from day 1 to year 35! #wearewayne
A2: There are many ups and downs throughout the school year. As time passes the highs and lows are not as extreme. Build relationships with all stakeholders. Enjoy the job! #WeAreWayne
A2: Be authentic and be you. You donât have to be funny if you arenât funny. You can smile before Christmas if thatâs who you are. Donât be caught up in being someone youâre not. Itâs exhausting. #WeAreWayne
A2: If I could give my Day 1 self from my day 150-something self, I would say itâs okay that you donât know everything! No one expects you to! Also donât be afraid to ask Qs. #wearewayne
A2: A positive relationship with every student is key! They may not remember what you did for them, but they will remember how you made them feel! #wearewayne
Q3: We are fortunate to have Instructional coaches in our district to support teachers, but how else do you support each other in your Building/School? #WeAreWayne

A3: I need to talk things out so Iâve found my people that let me talk out a problem and give me ways to tweak it. Be a sounding board for your peers! #wearewayne
@CWECHAMP has an anonymous staff member who leaves encouraging notes in staff mailboxes every now and then. Such a simple act can mean so much! #wearewayne
A3: Although @SdNealWayne is AMAZING....I am also fortunate to be on a team that is constantly sharing out ideas, works together to make each otherâs jobs easier, and generally just enjoys being around one another! #wearewayne
A4: I had the pleasure of hearing John Hattie speak last week. He shared that focused teacher collaboration has the highest impact of all the strategies he has studied! #wearewayne
A4: Great ideas spread through a school when teachers SHARE what they are doing, and ask questions about WHAT others are doing and HOW they do it! #WeAreWayne#WeGetBetterTogether
A4: When Ts support each other the Ss can feel it! They know that school is a safe place to fail not because Ts say so, but because Ts live it! #wearewayne
A4: I think Ts naturally have more positive relationships when they are supporting one another. Ss benefit from seeing positive working relationships modeled. Ss also benefit from collaborative planning. #wearewayne
A4: Our scholars see positive modeling of healthy relationships, they also see an environment filled with trust, in return they model the same to each other #WeAreWayne
