Jeff Rogers, DC Armstrong HS, Plymouth MN. Fortunate to coach for 20 years at the collegiate and HS level.

A1) Advancing to the 3rd round of the playoffs for the 1st time in 65 years!

Not many lately. Last playoff teamwas 14 yrs ago. We find the small things more enjoyable than the w/l catergory.

A1: Making the playoffs our first season of varsity ball, an undefeated regular season, and a state semis appearance

Our current HC came into a team that lost 24 straight games over 3 years and won his first game made the playoffs the next year

A1) Riverton week 9 win over an 8-0 team, best damn 3-6 team ever
Washington 35-34 over FZS win on block FG, 2nd half shutout

A1) Only at the school 1yr but proud of how the players adapted to new scheme and philosophy. Took coaching & kept us in games.

A1: Gold Beach Oregon, from 04 to 2013, played in 5 State Title games at 2A & 3A Levels, & 8 League Titles

Q2: Why do kids want to be part of your team?

That is awesome! How did the kids handle their success?

A1)con't 84-56 win over Holt, RB set state record with 9 rush TD, 11 rushing TD as a team. Crazy game! I walk 4.5 miles 1st half

A1: Winning inaugural varsity game with kids from varied levels of ball experience

A1)It was our 1st year at Austin. The school had 3 total wins over the past 4 seasons. Averaged 30 players in the program.

I have done that and it is a great feeling to get that first win with a brand new program!

A1: beat rival 38-30 in my 1st yr here; 0-5 v 4-1 too! They beat us in '14 78-6

A1 contd. The ms kids do ask if they can run daily instead of anything else. Even the linemen ask as well.

A1: I have been @ my current school 4 2 yrs now and the biggest moment happened 20yrs ago when they won state.

They know i have their back. I am hard but fair and will fight for them regardless of score.

We are n 8 man school with maybe 9 or 10 in the hs next year. Almost 25 in 7/8 next year. With 10 in the 6th behind them.

A3) Wash,MO: we don't play our rival, Check that they won't play us. Don't care what they say, they won't sign up. Real talk.

A2) Because they know we have their back. We offer a support system that they may not have at home.

A2: I want kids to be on our team because it's a family. It's having 75-100 guys who have your back no matter what and love you

A3: Here it's just the game itself that gets the whole student body and the community riled up.

ae. A3.We have a march around the school to the football field. The elementry starts out and then by grade up.

jscruggs, OL/DL, Logan Rogersville HS, Rogersville Mo. Track winding down, gave last final in night class I teach, I'm back!

A3) Riverton: Our rivalry is lop sided on football, but a battle everywhere else. It boils over, there have been some bad things

A3 contd. Up to 12 followed by the team as they enter the field with 2 rows of fans for the pep rally.

A3) A huge carnival/cook-off at the school. Lots of community involvement, plus the return of a lot of alumni.

A3: We have a great HOCO week. Everyday is a crazy spirit day. After the Sub Varsity games we have a pep rally with fireworks

A3: Bell Game. What doesn't happen is a better question. Oldest rivalry in NC, 6th in country

A3: DC starting Wed, creates a Epic Vision complete with Bombs, Motorcycles & torching a stuffed Tiger Bandon Week

A3 cont: The great thing is the HOCO gameday tailgate and fan tunnel the players walk through upon arrival to the stadium

A3) Gonna be great this year when we renew the Austin-Milby rivalry in Week 3. One of the oldest rivalries in the Houston area.

A2: although we've bottomed out a little, kids know that they can gain intrinsically and extrinsically from the experience.

A4) Robin Kirk. 4 state titles, 3 as a HC at Hou. St. Pius. I had the pleasure of being on his staff for 2 of those.

Gold Beach, Oregon - Bill Siler -1970's won a State Title in 78, wrote a great book on the 4-4 Stack as well.

A2: Our kids know we care about them, we try and it special, no matter the outcomes.

A4) We brought over the culture and discipline from there and are working to install it here. It's a process but we'll be fine.

A3: we don't do anything special, but kids do start yapping on social media, gets it going!

A4: That's the neat thing about opening a school. We are building the stories and legends. The last 2 seasons will be historic

A5) We really don't have one. Not much football culture around the school before we got there. I'd like to start one, though.

A3: a parade/field day with all alumni and the community coming on campus for different activities

A6) Community is tired of a losing program. The East End isn't what it used to be but still plenty of pride.
