This is so true. Each person brings different perspectives, ideas, solutions, etc. to the group. I do my best work when I collaborate with others. #ycsdchat

A3 #ycsdchat As a college prof, I get a unique opportunity to see what skills ss donāt bring to college: notetaking that isnāt copying from a ppt, essay writing&documentation, reading&underlining in texts, and studying for exams/test. I introduced my sophs to blue books and APA.

A4: I regularly ask students to work with small groups to formulate answers and opinions and then share our both orally and in writing. With all of our ātechnologyā in use by young people, being a strong, academic writer has suffered. #ycsdchat
A4-Also try to incorporate written summary activities with each lesson, build in various opportunities for Ss to collaborate in small groups that plays to different individual talents so Ss have to learn to utilize & incorporate each to complete #ycsdchat

A5: I believe all schools should bring back metal shop and wood shop as well as make room for other opportunities to learn other trades such as mechanics. Having an opportunity to apprenticeship in a career Ss may be interested in and allowing possible careers afterwards.
