#txlchat A1. I haven’t taken photos but my library team including myself, techs, lab managers, assistant, and student aides dressed up with Santa hats and took our holiday card. We delivered them to central office staff with candy.

A1 - that’s some awesome bulletin board paper. I’ve had students and teachers actually touch it because they thought I went up to the school on the weekend and laid brick... #txlchat
#txlchat A1. We have a beautiful blue , white, and silver floor to ceiling display case with the theme “Our Favorite Things”. I surveyed staff about their favorite holiday desserts, gifts, Books, songs, and movies. Their photos are displayed on snowflakes on a blue background.
A2: Okay, idk about healthy lol, but coffee, to-do lists, reading, and taking breaks does the trick for me. I have realized that sometimes projects can wait until the next day to finish. Otherwise, I’d still be at work. #txlchat
A1. It’s not really a display and more like what’s decorated in the library. I had to search through my pictures and this one is from last year because I’m currently on maternity leave. I just love how festive and excited the kids get. #txlchat
A2 I have to start my morning with a walk or run or elliptical - something cardio-ish. And at least one day of weights at the gym. And Saturday naps. (Plus now that I’m not having to read for/nominate for Topaz, I can read for myself.) #Txlchat
A2: I get a MASSAGE plus I take a "shopping day" during the week and get almost everything done in that day. It really helps not having to go places after school. #txlchat
#txlchat A2. I live in the moment. Share peppermint mocha coffee, chocolate treats in baskets and dialogue with staff and students about what they are most looking forward to for the holiday break. Breathe
Lubbock had 10-11 inches of snow this weekend. It was unreal. Perfect reading weather. (Then again, we were on the road to Dallas - so again, perfect reading situation!) #txlchat

A3: the top book on my To-Read list from my school library is Front Desk by @kellyyanghk and my personal book is Alaskan Holiday by @debbiemacomber I LOVE reading Christmas themed books this time of year! #txlchat
A2: I usually don’t, lol. It’s very hard but I have to remind myself to slow down and enjoy myself. Spend time with my family and usually that is just sitting at home watching a Christmas movie and drinking hot cocoa. #txlchat
A4: My Library Ambassadors help me decorate the library and I invite the students to drink hot cocoa in the library with a nice fireplace background & dim the lights. We also just had our holiday book fair! That was fun! #txlchat
#txlchat A4 Festive Holiday activity - our yearly BCM Books Comics Movies Club Party. Invitations going out tomorrow. Our choir does caroling and the rotunda of our library is perfect for Acapella singing. Move over....

A4: every year I have had a holiday themed @BreakoutEdu activity in the #library. This year I have a GRINCH themed and a POLAR EXPRESS next week. I cannot wait! #txlchat
A4: our library is utilized for testing and/or house up to 5 displaced classes because of testing, so we never really plan anything because we know it will most likely get cancelled, so we try to have fun book displays! #txlchat#punkrocklibrarian
A3: I just realized that I needed to read three more books to finish this years Bluebonnet list so they are: Slider, Garvey’s Choice and Hello Universe. #txlchat

A4 - this is my first year at this school (but 10th in the library). The most popular table in the library has been this ornament making table with discards and all the crafty supplies I could haul from home #txlchat
A4: the students loved the ugly sweater competitions along with reading with our buddies. They also enjoy the sing-along story we do school wide. We had a gingerbread unit for kindergarten where we got to decorate our own as a culmination. #txlchat

The Legend of the Poinsettia is absolutely one of my favorite Tomie dePaola books. Just read that The Clown of God is being reprinted. Another fav that's at the top of my list. #txlchat
