    A3. A child was seen crying after a school celebration when Ss took family photos with their award. The student told me how nobody was their for them to take a photo with and that there was no father around like other kids. Heartbreaking. Empathy is always needed! #LeadLAP

    Indeed the social emotional learning aspect is essential. I work with new teachers often, and they understand that "teaching" as a much the social emotional learning element as it is about knowledge of curriculum and pedagogy. SEL is essential for each teacher's toolbox. #LeadLAP
