Q1: Any big changes at your school(s) for this year?
A1: Oops. Jumped the gun using A1 already. Lost my long-time, invaluable assistant. She now travels to 4 schools.
I want to call this year fine-tuning. No big changes just trying to do better at what we're already doing.

Diane from Indy Ben Davis Ninth Grade new this year I am working with a lot of new teachers promoting databases and APA
. new 1:1 MS/HS, new update to Harmony, new webpage. LOTS going on
It is amazing! I can do some things I've always wanted to do, but didn't have the opportunity before.
. my position was rebranded to do more with tech beyond normal library role.
A2 Not sure what I learned is new but more in depth on makerspaces. Want to be more purposeful now in district role.
watched videos and read about Time management and productivity. I am trying a daily focus list
was a strong theme/idea at summer of ELearning confs. Such a great activity for students & Ts

the more I learn about the more I love!
The PLTW teachers and I met a few times this summer and we worked together to see what we could do together this year
I created for them in Google docs a template so students can create their Engineering notebooks all online using their chromebook
Did this at prev hs. New what Ts sent most kids, biggest purpose, and a mobile log for emergencies
Willing to share? I'm new to GAFE school and all are new to chromebooks

A3: Still hoping maybe more informal opps to meet/share at district, even area level. Working on visits in central IN

I like these ideas as well.
We tried to just get spreadsheet of current licensed librarians 2-3 yrs ago. Was way harder than shld be. :-(
Dekalb High is in yr2 of GAFE. 0ur Middle school is rolling on digital data notebooks using GAFE!
we are learning to use 3-D printer & starting small with Makerspace!
