I’m thinking about conducting a book study this summer for any @DartmouthHS faculty interested and we will be reading Innovator’s Mindset & either Most Likely to Succeed or Mindset by Dweck...not positive yet! #BFC530
I did a couple slow chats last year and really loved them. When doing large chats or large Voxers, I tend to get overwhelmed and stop responding. #bfc530
I plan on reading a bunch of young #LGBTQ themed novels that you folks recommended. I help with our #Pride club and we want to build a mini library for the club to use:)

I should finish the Blended Learning book. And the Connected Educator one. Also planning to take my teacher librarian part 2 AQ (in part 1 now) so whichever readings they have for that.

I'm reading #180days by @KellyGToGo and @pennykittle right now. It's really good and I would recommend it to anyone. Of course, if you haven't read Mathematical Mindsets by @joboaler, this should be at the top of your summer list. #bfc530
PD books are so accessible now! I remember when @HeinemannPub was the only place you could get them and they were over $30 each and as a beginning teacher I could only do 1 a summer. Now I have to tell myself to stop buying book and take a break! #bfc530
I agree. Was asked to read a book last summer by my dept, sad to hear only 4 of us read it. Many wouldn't do it without PD hours being offered. Very sad... #bfc530
I have a random collection including Deliberate Optimism, and the Zen Teacher - plus I am@Reading another Daniel Pink book for a leadership group. I also try to read young adult non-fiction that my Ss pile up for me; it’s a good balance #bfc530
#bfc530 In addition to grad coursework books I’ll read Marzano’s asst book for work, also plan to revisit Nonviolent Communication and Snap by Patti Wood to develop a new feedback plan for next year.

Wow! Hard to believe that they did not think it would be of benefit to their practice or the impact it could have had on their kids. Need a change in mindset. #bfc530
#bfc530 had a teacher who literally video taped half of the week's lectures, so there were no questions or interruptions. The other lectures were solely for questions. Fantastic idea that helped with retention.

#bfc530 Another great one that I have to revisit...again... is Make It Stick: The Science of Successful Learning. This was pivotal for me in terms of how I taught (and understood how effective learning happens). It's been the gift that keeps giving each time I return to it.
