A1: hi š
My name is Cori and I am a math teacher in Gwinnett.
I enjoy watching the snowboarders , since thatās whatās on right now šš

A1: I'm Nadia from the Cobb County School District where I'm a Digital Learning Coordinator.
My favorite Winter Olympic sport is usually Figure Skating, but Curling is pulling me in this year!

#TECHtalkGA Q2: Gabby Douglas, gold medal gymnast, is quoted on https://t.co/8CoHiZ8MC6 as saying, āNever quit. Never give up.ā
How does that relate to your work with educational technology?
A2: Trying something new is always hard. You never know if you're going to land on your face, but you get back up and keep trying! You also start to learn strategies/tools that just work for you or for situations/lessons. #TECHtalkGA
#TECHtalkGA Q2: Gabby Douglas, gold medal gymnast, is quoted on https://t.co/8CoHiZ8MC6 as saying, āNever quit. Never give up.ā
How does that relate to your work with educational technology?
A2: If tech doesn't work one way or even the way it was intended, see if it can benefit you and your students in another way. Get outside the tech box. #TECHtalkGA
#TECHtalkGA Q2: Gabby Douglas, gold medal gymnast, is quoted on https://t.co/8CoHiZ8MC6 as saying, āNever quit. Never give up.ā
How does that relate to your work with educational technology?
A2: Even when teachers or students are hesitant to embrace change or try new technologies, I find ways to continue to encourage and support them.
#TECHtalkGA
A2: Working in EdTech, I find that you have to keep going, especially to keep up the momentum. It'll take time to get everyone in board, but it's worth the persistence.
#TECHtalkGA
A2: never quit never give up means that if something doesnāt work the first time or not the desired outcome, just means to try something else- maybe a new site or maybe another activity. Donāt thrown out all the tech though
#TECHtalkGA
#TECHtalkGA A2: IMO, you just never know when that thing you've been saying or that tool you've been pushing will finally connect with someone.
I thought of @MsVenturino's closing Southern Summit keynote with this Q - you never know when someone will make the Form PLUS the bitly
#TECHtalkGA Q2: Gabby Douglas, gold medal gymnast, is quoted on https://t.co/8CoHiZ8MC6 as saying, āNever quit. Never give up.ā
How does that relate to your work with educational technology?
#TECHtalkGA Q3: The first 12 Ancient Olympic games only had 1 sport (a sprint of about 200m). This yearās Winter Olympic games has 102 events in 15 sports.
How can this idea of slow growth be a good thing when talking about classroom technology integration?
A3: When using technology, find one tool and start small. Become proficient in that one area then start to branch out and try new tech like me with @Flipgrid today finally! #TECHtalkGA
#TECHtalkGA Q3: The first 12 Ancient Olympic games only had 1 sport (a sprint of about 200m). This yearās Winter Olympic games has 102 events in 15 sports.
How can this idea of slow growth be a good thing when talking about classroom technology integration?
A2: My position at my school is so different than most MSs. I have no books in my space. (Long story. But a good one!) I often feel like I donāt know which direction I should be going. What my role actually is. Iām inventing my own position and I never give up! #TECHtalkGA
A3: it's not a rush. Keep building your toolbox - try new tools and strategies, keep what works, make modifications as you go, and keep collecting ideas. If we try to make too many changes at once, we fall on our butts. Baby steps. #TECHtalkGA
#TECHtalkGA A3: To me, this just emphasizes the "don't give up" message. Just because it may take a while (sometimes, a REALLY long time) to see progress with the tools we're showing, that doesn't mean we're not having an impact. It's just slow and purposeful change!
#TECHtalkGA Q3: The first 12 Ancient Olympic games only had 1 sport (a sprint of about 200m). This yearās Winter Olympic games has 102 events in 15 sports.
How can this idea of slow growth be a good thing when talking about classroom technology integration?
A2: Never quit. Never give up. Means technology is not going anywhere so we have to grow along with it. Doesnāt mean at the same pace but at least move ourselves and our schools in the same direction. Whether itās 1 tool for a yr or as many as possible! #techtalkga
A3: It's important to do a measured roll out of anything new. Make sure it meets your needs and interests, then expand, but only to enhance the process and not "just because."
#TECHtalkGA
A3: I always tell my teachers to find one thing they really want to implement and become an expert. Then usually they are empowered by their success they crave to learn more or try new things. #TECHtalkGA
Yes, so many people try new tech because they just learned about some cool new tool. We need to try new tech because it will help us meet learning goals. #TECHtalkGA
A3: So many tools with so little time to explore. I was floored at the # of vendors @ GAETC. Slowing down helps us to learn the right tools effectively. #TECHtalkGA
A3: Growth should be paced in tune with the needs and interests of the āaudienceā in that way, we as champions and coaches meet the needs of all learners with #edtech tools and tips they can handle and make progress with #TECHtalkGA
A3: We donāt have to have all the tools to begin. Start with what we have. Discover what works best for your Ss. Iāve discovered iPads are awesome at elementary level, but my HS Ss would rather have a laptop. #TECHtalkGA
OMG, yes!
Run away from the shiny new tool if all it has is shine!
Think FIRST about your standards, learning goals/objectives, what you want Ss to do...then find the tool that works for you!
#TECHtalkGA
Yes, so many people try new tech because they just learned about some cool new tool. We need to try new tech because it will help us meet learning goals. #TECHtalkGA
A3: Change is difficult because it takes you out of your comfort zone. Slow growth allows everyone to become comfortable with technology use and proper implementation. Once the benefits are seen, the need for a better and improved tool will appreciated. #techtalkga
A4: A tech coach that isnāt always ready to jump into the classroom and model is as useless as a broomless curler. Never turn down the opportunity to be in a classroom. #TECHtalkGA
A4: I love screen-cast-o-matic. It allows me to observe learning and act as a coach. I have learned about flipgrid (thanks @JustMewborn) and that is another great way to share and learn together. #TECHtalkGA
A3 #TECHtalkGA I promote introducing a tech to Ts first, let them get it, then let them use with Ss. Mastering a few things builds self-efficacy and willingness to try more or different things. "Slow and steady wins the race."
A4: use technology for an activity that allows me as the teacher to sit and talk to students, build relationships and offer assistance when needed.
#TECHtalkGA
A4: My practice is to think backwards. What's my objective? How can I teach it effectively? How can I use technology to enhance the lesson? #TECHtalkGA
A4: @GoogleForEdu, @padlet, and of course @Flipgrid are my top 3 tools. Best practice is building and following my #PLN. Wow, do I learn so much from these experts and mentors in my life.
#TECHtalkGA
A4: my medal-winning š strategy would be reflection. No matter what you do or use, if you don't take time to really reflect on what's happened, how it's working, and how to improve.
#TECHtalkGA
A4: I love @newsela for reading practice. My kids are LOVING @noredink for grammar practice & we're about to try @Quill_org for personalized writing practice & feedback. @quizlet live is a favorite for vocab practice & I love @flipgrid and @padlet for sharing ideas #TECHtalkGA
A4: All the tools I currently hold in high regard are within the LMS we use. I love the discussion board for Ss to use as well as the content modules having the capability of providing differentiated instruction! š š #techtalkga
#TECHtalkGA Q5:The site of the 2026 Winter Olympic games is still yet to be determined sometime in the future.
What would you like to see for the future of educational technology?
A4: @SkypeClassroom is my number one favorite technology tool. Lots og global collaboration and thinking beyond the standard to how it relates to the world around us. #TECHtalkGA
I can't like this enough times! An #ETCoach who got into coaching to get OUT of the classroom is like bread with no butter.
Sounds OK, but tasteless and doesn't really get the job done.

A5: Here goes....I hope that the tools continue to encourage student engagement, and that they help students to learn more efficiently and effectively. #TECHtalkGA
A5: #TECHtalkGA the future of #edtech sees it being called just #education. No longer separate or more, tech is simply another tool we leverage to make learning happen the right way.
#TECHtalkGA Q5:The site of the 2026 Winter Olympic games is still yet to be determined sometime in the future.
What would you like to see for the future of educational technology?
A5: my hope is technology furthers both creation and comprehension. I hope itās integration isnāt separate, but simply a part of the learning. #techtalkga
A5: I'd like to see more consensus on the definitions of things like #blendedlearning and #personalizedlearning. I also look forward to a future where we focus most on each student's whole child growth as our measure of educational success.
#TECHtalkGA
A5: More support from the district level and admin to provide quality time and opportunity for teachers to learn these tools. Leaders need to also learn the value of how implementing these tools throughout the curriculum keeps Ss engaged and motivated.
#TECHtalkGA
A5: This one is tough yet not really that tough. The best thing we can do for educational technology is accept that thereās no 1-size-fits-all tool. Letās embrace diff tools and gel them together to reach our goals and objectives. Put down the cookie cutter. #techtalkga
That was so much info in such a short time! I hope you were able to watch some of the great snowy events!
Great chat tonight, #TECHtalkGA! Thanks to all of you for joining in! Be sure to join us next week, whether you have the day off or not!
