A1: I expected to be pretty successful. I had my degree behind me and a few years of teaching experience in SD. New state and new curriculum shouldn't be that bad... #txed
I think educators are the only professionals that actually use twitter outside of their work day to get better at their profession.
I never see any #BankChat or #LawyerChat or #DrChat#txed
A1- I expected to have a bit more freedom over pacing, time, content, etc. Reality is QUITE different, especially with testing always looming overhead #txed
A1: I expected Teaching to be an amazing experience... which it totally was. Although, I fell off my desk when pulling a Robin Williams.... (Reality) #txed
A1: sunshine’s and roses! Everyone knows that teaching is the “easiest, cushinest” job in the world!! Plus we only work part of the year... actually I knew it wouldn’t be easy going in but I had the advantage of having dealt with adults who acted worse then my worst Ss #txed
A1-The great thing about teaching is that it matters. The tough part of teaching is that it matters every day. Wisdom from the Jedi master @ToddWhitaker#TXed
A2: If we aren't careful we may think they are getting it when they may not. "Teachers have to be students of their students." #txed#victorbumpersticker#neisdpln
If everyone in Ed would participate in our democratic right of voting, we'd be in better shape. Unfortunately, T's are the ones who implement so it all boils down to them. So proud of my staff who give above and beyond for our kids. #txed
You've got this! If you can handle kids during the awkward years of puberty, you can make it. Just pretend you're in your classroom. It's honestly about the same :) Let us know how we can support you! Would love to help/connect! #TxEd
I hear you. I've had times when I've had to stop a PD lesson w Ts and ask them what they would do if their class was acting the way the Ts were. #txed#longdays#forgeahead
I always expect that new technology will be super easy to pick and take no time at all to master.... 10 hours later still working to get it the way I want it... #TXED

A5: I was worried coming into teaching that I would have issues connecting with my students since I started teaching at 33, but the students don’t care as long as you connect with them and treat them like adults. #txed
A5: It's a "Neverending Story." So many kids need you in so many ways. You have to be "on" for all of them at all times. You get to touch live in many ways. Proud of all educators, especially my staff. #txed
A5- Dancing breaks down ppl's walls. My Ss used to think I was nuts, but by the end of the week they were dancing with me. I'm sure I'm in a few YouTube videos out there, lol! #txed#DropEverythingAndDance#Danceparty
A6: Reality of what I do.... Train and encourage staff to be the best they can be! Doesn't matter who you are... you have it inside to be AWESOME! #txed
Thanks to everyone for joining us tonight for our first GIF chat. Special thanks to @Tommyspall for all the work setting it up! Finish strong and enjoy the weekend. See you next week! #txed
