Q1 What do you love about how your school reinforces itself as a team?

A1 I love that we have some PLC time built into our schedule. This has helped build a strong 6th grade team.

A1 we have been working the past week to re-define our unified goals and establish speaking points for use with all stakeholders

Q2 How would you say that your school/district builds relationships with kids?

Q1: Potlucks are great! Sunday Pancake Brunch at a staff member's house are a hit.

A2 My favorite thing we do is visit homes of students before school starts. So much fun!

A2 We need to be part of every aspect of our student's lives. Do whatever it takes to show them we care.

HI all, Cristal here I get to work with Galena City School District, and Nenana School actually supporting team alignment

A1 l love the fact that admin/Ts/staff support each other. Cool matching clothing also team builds.

A2 FOOD. I have been shocked with the positive impact of tootsie rolls and suckers.

YES, I love our increasing pool of swag to pick from. It's fun to show our spirit and unity.

A2 Time lrning about each other, bldg relatnshp intentionally. Food. Student choices. Trail hikes. Camp.

A2 visits the home of every student two weeks before school starts. The only goal is to have a positive interaction

A2 We plan on working to be come a trauma informed Residential life and work to be connect on a level of compassion.

YES, those bonding days are a huge strength of and a platform/tradition to build on and get even better.

Congratulations to you. Being trauma informed has changed the way we work with students.

We actually did at the end of 6th grade and got a variety of awesome responses!

A3 I think the authentic relationships tend to be the students most favorite. Our students crave genuine conversation.

Ropes challenge or community svc proj together. Joining in to help staff move rooms or new T set up. Picnic.

Community service is something that we are working to develop. Shared experiences = relationships

A4 Staff ❤️school is safe place to share, explore, lrn, support. Also ❤️food n fun together.

Absolutely. Open the mindset for all in the system. Embrace mistakes as a opportunity for growth!

Service is as important as fun and both important in relationship-building

Kids work on a service project and then they can point to it and say, "I did that"
