Ashley! SPED teacher š My favorite part about the holidays are the fun non-curriculum activities your get to share with your students that builds your relationship with them. #TxEd
Good Evening! Kim Murphy 2nd grade self-contained from Brenham. My favorite part of the holidays is spending time with family and friends and popcorn. #TXed
#txed Jerry Toups aka #JediOfBelieve HS Math Tr from Houston. My favorite thing about the holidays is the MAGIC involved with a child BELIEVING in goodness and hope. It's the theme of my lighting display, which includes a #BELIEVE#HallOfFame honoring my Ss.
Good evening, everyone! So excited to be here after a VERY LONG 2 WEEKS- just finished 1st fall semester of doctoral courses! I am ready for this weekend & break. Cool night in Waco, TX! Hope you're all well! #TXed
A1: When I was a self-contained teacher, towards the end of the year when Ss had plenty of confidence in their writing, they created their own short stories & we invited their families, admin, & Ss to a "book signing." They loved it! #TXed
A1: I was able to get NOAA together to have a webcast about the core samples they were doing and then they crated a buoy that floated in the Atlantic. #TxEd#KidsDeserveIt#BeTheOne
#txed A1 Would like to give a shout out to @PollyRyonMS where @pinkpatterson has created a magical school. My wife works here and during the magic days I am "voluntold" to help decorate my wife's room. Here is a video of last springs "Game On Magic Day" https://t.co/UciCsfz6Ml

Favorite part of the holidays is spending time with my family, the smell of a fresh cut Christmas Tree and Christmas music #TxEd ā¤ļø
A1: This year my team and I held a special thanksgiving lunch for our special education students! We had all the works. We sat in my classroom like a family style setting and ate together. The students LOVED it! Felt good to share that with them. #TXed
A1. When I was the principal of Foster Elementary, my Teacher Specialist and I would come in for a leadership retreat over the Holiday break. This gave us uninterrupted time to review teacher and student data to make informed decisions for our students in the spring! #TXed
A1: I love to walk into classrooms and see teachers who are engaging Ss w/ relevant learning based on their interests. One class had Ss reasearching Tx regions. Ss then used the characteristics to find the regions on a #Fortnite map #TXed
A1-I enjoy the process of create such an experience. Seeing teachers willing to take a risk to deeply engage their kids. When it works, the eyes of the teachers are like kids on Christmas morning. #TXed
A2: Knowing that my learning positively impacts student learning & instructional practices! Excited about teaching are those moments that cannot be duplicated in any other profession: the joys & celebrations on a regular basis! #TXed
Glad we can agree that Texans across the state want real property tax relief. Problem is that @TPPFās plan seems to the only one that actually lowers property taxes. Would yours? #txed#txlege
A2 When a lesson goes so well, that students are 100% engaged! They forget about everything else going on in their lives and live in that moment of wonder. #TXed
OMG. I live for my students, their unabshing comments, their love and knowing feelings and sharing who they are and trying. They havenāt been consumed by the world yet #TXed
A2. Those moments when students are actually understanding and enjoying the content is priceless. Student success gets me excited about teaching and learning. We matter, and students show us that on a consistent basis. Lets keep teaching AND learning! #TXed
A2 When a lesson goes so well, that students are 100% engaged! They forget about everything else going on in their lives and live in that moment of wonder. #TXed
A2: The teachers @CFISDWells inspire me daily with their engaging lessons, their compassion for Ss and passion to grow in their own learning! I am in awe of their creativity to engage students and personalize learning. #ExploreWells#TXED
#txed A2 When you create magical moments in your room with your Ss your job will produce JOY. This JOY is priceless. It makes you wake up and want to go to work. BE POSITIVE and make your life about the kids!
A1: The 1st grade team holds an spectacular Thanksgiving Feast. It is a HUGE parent involvement opportunity. We secretly have parents write a letter to their child explaining why they're thankful for them. Reading the letters brings tears to your eyes. #TXed
A2: When teachers are growing in their craft, having fun, & about the mission of creating engaging learning for all students...together! #STEAMlearns#TxEd
Seeing my kids lead and inspire one another! Our 4th graders give up their recess time to read to 1st graders! How cool is that!? #walnutcreekworldchangers#TXed
A3: If we donāt believe we can make a difference I fear that it shows in our practice, the decisions we make and the overall attitude and perception kids see their adults as. #txed#txeduchat#kidsdeserveit#BeTheOne
A1: I have a tradition in my classroom to celebrate with a Christmas breakfast the last school day before break. We cook pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs&hot chocolate! Many of my kiddos will go home to nothing, so I want to create holiday memories for them at school #TXed
A3. The work we do is hard. At times, there is such a learning curve that it is easy to get frustrated and give up. A strong belief that I can make a difference personally keeps me motivated and willing to learn. Students need us! #TXed
A2: I believe that we can make a difference everyday: maybe it's a helping hand to another customer at Walgreen's; or showing love and patience to a struggling child. #TxEd
A3: sometimes we are the only person who sees greatness and believes in that one student. We must ALWAYS believe in them all! We make a difference in the lives of children EVERY. SINGLE. DAY!! #TXED
#txed A3 I wrote a book about this! When you #BELIEVE in your Ss and LOVE them for who they are, you will inspire your students to do great things that will go outside the walls of your classroom. Book will be out in about 6 weeks.
A3-The best part about being an educators that it matters. The hardest part about being an educator is that it matter every day. We must always believe.#TXed
A3 If not us, then who? If we donāt believe that our work is important, then we wonāt feel like itās important...and the sacrifices we make every day are wasted time... and kids are never a waste of time. #TXed
A3 If not us, then who? If we donāt believe that our work is important, then we wonāt feel like itās important...and the sacrifices we make every day are wasted time... and kids are never a waste of time. #TXed
That moment when a struggling student experiences success for the very first time. Building authentic relationships with my students is one of the most rewarding & exciting things about teaching! #txed
#txed A3 I even made a #AlwaysBelieve#HallOfFame at my house this year to honor my former and current Ss. BELIEVING IN YOURSELF is the keystone to your very being.
A4: have SS write gratitude letters to 2 teachers at Thanksgiving. Got a return message from a tchr saying she was struggling 2 the PT that she was going to call in ill. Kid's TY reignited her enthusiasm & drive. #TxEd
A4. I was recently an Elementary School Principal, this happened ALL of the time. Lol. Students would begin the year on a certain academic level or with a certain reputation from previous years, but our teachers embraced them, rolled up their sleeves, and got to work. #TXed
A4- listening to a childās story. I feel like we forget to think about āwhyā a student is acting the way they are, or struggling. Every child has a story. #TXed
#txed A4 My 1st rule #AlwaysBelieve has changed hearts and lives for the better. Amazing story about this in my book. 1 year I taught a 16 year old 8th grade disobedient insubordiante boy. Thought I lost him. Later I saw him and he told me how #AlwaysBelieve changed his life.
We recently had a student disciplined for an offense but when we had him at the table (we gave him a seat at the table) and stories were shared all our views changed (even his) instead of a longer cons. He saw all the support. His consequence chged. #TXed#txeduchat
A3 If we don't believe, how can we expect our Ss to believe in themselves? There will always be challenges and obstacles, but we always have to believe in the "light at the end of the tunnel"! The Ss will always know if you believe in them or not! #txed
A4 On the first day of school, my heart is too small...then I begin making connections...getting to know each childās story...and my heart grows 10 times bigger... #TXed
A2 Trying new and different things in the classroom. While preparing for lesson you plan for certain things to take place...but when students start throwing curve balls...that is when the magic and learning begins. #TxEd
A4 When the student(s) is misunderstood and you overreact instead of extending grace and understanding.
Seeing a T truly understand a student and their Why speaks volumes. #txed
Candied 3D Organelle Lesson -Observation/Controlled Chaos - amazing to have kids move from one room to next; and the kids were so engaged - I might have been spazzing but my P loved it and the candy cell organelle activity was amazing! #TXed#txeduchat#kidsdeserveit#BeTheOne
The video clip of the kids practicing & singing for the upcoming Christmas celebration that u shared today brought a big smile + hearty laugh to me. TY @PrincipalOgg#TxEd
A5 Seeing a student start to be able to regulate their behavior without blowing up. After walking on eggshells and waiting for it to occur, the corner is turned. #txed
#txed A5 One of my favorite days of the year is the day I recite the Grinch to all my classes. The smiles on the kids faces is just priceless. This year the local @ChickfilA are letting me do this for the community. #AlwaysBelieve
A5. My team and I were able to move a low performing campus (IR-3) to a high performing campus (met standards + 5 distinctions). It was so amazing for our students and the community. That is my miracle story and it will always be a part of me. #TXed
A4 Seeing a student working at a family owned business and learning the values that come from working together, developing a work ethic, and the value of helping other. #txed
A5-@lori_lreyes and @Tommyspall had a great example a few days ago. We have a student from Cambodia and actually got the chance to hear her native language at school for the first time through a computer program. #TXed
A5- having that one student who seems to be a problem for everyone finally make some steps in the right direction due to finally allowing a relationship with their teacher. #Txed
A5: a 6th grader who couldn't read. In his 2nd yr w me, he read an entire package
G of "The Giver" aloud, jumped up to jog around room. When I asked what he was doing, he said 'taking a victory lap'. Class gave him standing ovation. #TxEd
A4: I work extremely hard to build relationships with parents of my students! That moment when parents realize how much I truly care about their child. My heart has grown many times when hearing the stories behind the child! More often than not, heartbreaking! #TXed
#txed A5 As a Tr and a summer camp photographer @campcayuga I have been blessed to be the part of HUNDREDS of great memories with a child. To be part of a child's memories in the innocence of their youth is just very special. This is a picture of JOY that I was blessed to take.
A5 this oneās tough...my miracles are found in the little things...everyone getting along and working together to accomplish a goal without keeping score. #TXed
A6. I have the privilege of being an educator. It has been SO rewarding! I feel blessed to be able to provide for my family and to go professionally where many in my family were unable to go. Growing up, I never imagined being able to make this type of impact! #TXed
