A2b - because often times when we're making, we discover cool new things (processes, learning, techniques, etc) and without documentation, the learning gets lost. Document to remember (for yourself) and to pass forward (to others). #edtechchat

A3 - blogs, @flipgrid, @googledocs, notebooks, pictures, video, anything really. Depends on Ss and what is being made. Often visual (pic/vid) is key. #edtechchat
Absolutely. I'd add in a camera nowadays (since cheap and easy), and for more complex contraptions, easier to visually document. But really, ✏️+🗒️+📷 and you're all set. #edtechchat
A4: Students can participate in completing a pro/con chart to evaluate the tools. This allows for students to voice their opinions. #edtechchat#SSEDMETHODS
I don't think it hinders students to have an already made tool, but there is definitely more creativity and skills applied to building ones own. #edtechchat#edt5334
Depends on what you're trying to learn and what skills you have. Can end up spending more time learning to construct tool than learning original goal (which isn't always a bad thing). #edtechchat
A5 - Grade the process, not the end result. Don't grade for "prettiness" or on whether it's 100% working/correct. Grade on the learnings - did the S challenge themselves? Did they overcome problems? Did they push their comfort level? #edtechchat
Most of this can be found in Ss reflections/documentation on the process. Rubrics can be easily assembled off the main skills you want to emphasize. #edtechchat
