#2ndaryELA is a group of middle and high school English Language Arts teachers looking to share ideas and best practices. We chat every Tuesday night at 8 pm EST using #2ndaryELA. We'd love for you to join us!
A1: My goal is to do little things to make my life earlier in the mornings like planning out outfits for the week on Sundays, making breakfast for the week, etc. #2ndaryELA
I am an inclusion teacher that pishes into 5 different 8th grade ELA classes as a kind of co-teacher. They enver have time to go to the library. So I loaded up all my books onto a cart and take them with me and check them out to the Ss. #2ndaryELA

A1: I want to incorporate book talks everyday to get my Ss excited about new books. I circulated a calendar for the mont of Jan and it had been working well so far! #2ndaryELA
A3 I did a quick activity with imagery, a "photography contest," that was low prep and fun. More details and examples on my IG https://t.co/XiKYWPVdrM#2ndaryELA
A3: I made "secret agent" videos that teach the organization of text-based writing. I shared it with the 6th & 7th grade and now kids come up to me asking me if I'm the agent in the videos! :) :) #2ndaryELA
A5 This is a tough one. With 3 little ones 2 and under and teaching new subjects with brand new curriculum, this year is a lot of work! I just keep telling myself that next year will be easier #2ndaryELA
A5: I am trying to relax more and not work every night when I get home. I do not grade papers I find myself reading articles, PD books or making PowerPoints.
A3: I love the one word project. My students did this at the beginning of the school year and I they write in their journals about how they are achieving this goal.
