A1: One of my favorite family night’s is the Intentional Night at Montclair in @DPSNewsNow International Night truly represented the diverse cultures of the school. We had cultural dishes, spoken word, African dance and drumming. One of the best family nights I’ve seen #EdCoChat
Check out Comcast for movie nights. They do free movie nights, giveaway laptops and provide low cost internet access to families. Great partnership #EdCoChat
YES! Our district does something similar. It is housed at @Simmonsknights1. Great exposure to other cultures and delicacies for our local community. Perfect opportunity to have conversation and get questions answered. #edcochat

Don’t make it an information dump but a relationship builder. Sharing should be ongoing. Also provide an opportunity to connect digitally, and hold a series, not one night. #EdCoChat A2
I love it because it breaks people out of their comfort zones and brings them face to face in conversation. It's hard not to like somebody when you know who they really are and have had dinner with them. #edcochat

Our EL coordinator. Families brought ethnic foods that is from their background. Lots of Arab and Polish students demonstrating their intense dancing skills. Pretty amazing! #edcochat

A3: we didn’t have it through a family night but celebrated school wide #worldcultureday on May 21st. Students/staff encouraged to bring food and dress representative of their native country. It was AWESOME to see our students dressed up. They beamed with pride.#EdCoChat
BQ: My dream is have a "Family Dinner" with our Drama kids. Everybody at one table, sharing food, talking about their day. Similar to what we experience at home with our own family. Due to restrictions about offering food to students, it might not be realistic. #edcochat
YES! Another dream of mine! Daddy/Daughter Maker Faire. We have a design lab. Would love to make time on weekends for parents to come in and experience learning with their kids. Again, another dream. #edcochat

Our kid’s elementary school does something similar, Around the World in 80 Minutes. Amazing event—may be my favorite of all. Though I’ve heard they haven’t done it every year because of the sheer logistics. #EdCoChat
