I let them choose which activity to complete in the lesson based on their starter activity, which encompasses diagnostic questions as a way to guide them. E.g. if you got q1,2,3 correct, try ws1. If you got 1&2 but 3 wrong, try ws2. If you got them all wrong try ws3. #edchat
We must model success to help learners find their own success. We must assume the role of learner as we work with Ss & our peers in a growth process of excellence. Only then can we truly say that we have made the shifts that will humanize our approach to interventions. #edchat
Nice article from @DrMaryHoward & @NowakRo on how fidelity to programs dehumanizes students. Instead of tossing out #RTI, let’s try contextual behavioral interventions that empower students to connect their schoolwork to their own values. https://t.co/MDZ2Nhmyje

Employee evaluations are a necessary part of every school. But with an overwhelming number of teachers and staff, they run the risk of being inconsistent. Should we give a second voice to the evaluation process? https://t.co/22mBwSYddQ@SFSeval#TeachersMatter#EdChat#K12

HOW TO IDENTIFY A SCHOOL LEADER:
1. Leaders bring Solutions
2. Leaders see the good
3. Leaders view Challenges as Opportunities
4. Leaders know a Position ≠ Influence
5. Leaders CONNECT w/ the kids & other Teachers, rather than merely "Communicating"
