People never write enough. Every day my Ss have to journal on a prompt I provide. We then discuss the responses and I share my response. Can't expect them to look forward to sharing if I don't reciprocate & build relationships.

A1: By making sure that everyone understands "who is doing what by when" before the end of each interaction. Confusion or lack of clarity has stalled the progress of many great conversations. #pln365
Wish I was in 1 room and could do this. I'm always racing through the halls with my carts, but I greet my Ss, past and current, as our paths cross. #PLN365
A1: we must model our intentions every single day. As they say, actions speak WAY louder than words. Without action, intentions fall short of the goal. #pln365
A1: tease out the actions from students with positive encouragement and sometimes a hint. They eat up human connections and warm so they try to please. Love them. #pln365
A1: Something we say at @careacter Character Strong is that intentions minus actions equals squat.
If we're going to walk our talk, we've got to make things actionable, to actually DO the thing. Small steps, but STEPS, forward or backward, as long as we're moving. #pln365
Q2: Buyers can become sellers which makes "buy-in" a temporary commitment. How can we deepen levels of commitment to the cause by recruiting investors who have a deeper stake in the process? #pln365
A2: Ownership and efficacy. It's a minor alteration, but "join in" becomes more sustainable than "buy in" for long-term success. How are you making sure their investment will net long-term gains with and for them and your stakeholders? #pln365
A2: the “purchase” becomes an investment when the sellers truly believe in the outcome and product. Invest in our kids and the product is an eternal production of life-long learners that care! #pln365
Hello! Lesley from Delaware and I teach high school English, AP Lang, and Journalism. I always update my boards with birthdays, but also stand with my coffee at the door to greet Ss! #pln365
Q3: In our profession, heavier emphasis is often placed on the product in relation to the process. How do we increase our focus on the process while remaining committed to a high quality product? #pln365
A3: they key to the process is commitment and perseverance. We have to believe in what we are doing and hold steady to see the result. Every. Single. Day. #pln365
A2: We must be consistent with follow up and follow through or things are labeled as “this too shall pass.” Ts and Ss need to feel supported and see how it relates and fits. If it is constantly revisited, it becomes an integral part of routine, not just a temporary stop! #pln365
A3: I focus on the process because my routes tend to change trying for the destination. My dance parties are more free form than ballroom but fun cha cha to the trophy. #pln365
A3: Go all in! When you (and students) are fully invested in the process, the product will be high quality. Support students and watch them grow! #pln365
A3: Set small goals for what we want to implement or improve upon in the process then run them through trial and error. Make mistakes, learn from them, get to the best point possible then add another layer. Take the time to do it right! #pln365
A3 Chunking the desired outcome into manageable steps ensuring S success & teaching them to laugh. Jrs had trouble with following directions. Found a quiz filled with humor so it will stick. They all got a good laugh and have been following directions since. #pln365
A3:Make sure that you have a quality process in place that is thorough, thought provoking and will provide insight into the issue. We use a problem solving driver, that is consistent across our district, to look at data. The discussion is often rich. #pln365
A4: What lessons did I learn? How can these lessons be shared with others? How can I grow from this experience? How could I have performed better? What questions still remain? #pln365
A3: Just as the process determines the product, our income determines the outcome. Always. What we invest in our journey will pay dividends; since there isn't ever really a finish line, what matters is the present moment en route to their end goal. Teach them to savor it! #pln365
A4: I keep a fun and festive journal at my desk to write down reflections and notes for the next year or lesson. When planning I follow up there with what worked or didn’t. #pln365
