A1 My advice for newbies at the #NYCSchoolsTech Summit is to take advantage of the opportunity to meet the vendors whose products you use in the classroom all year long. #NYCSchoolsTechChat

Don’t overwhelm yourself. Focus on singular improvements you can make or a tool that can alleviate some stress. You will definitely find something to help you be a better teacher. Here was some advice I wrote up before last years. #NYCSchoolsTechChathttps://t.co/cDcccTbW24

A2: I’m looking for the new ones I’m not aware of yet. First questions are how does this save me time or help my students become better critical thinkers and advocates for themselves. #NYCSchoolsTechChat

A1. Look at the schedule and consider attending a session that might be useful to you for next year. Bring a charger for your laptop. Go early to session because they get full and you may not get a seat. #NYCSchoolsTechChat

I am hoping there will be something on some of the Microsoft accessibility programs. Honestly, I like looking at the schedule and seeing what new things are out there or New spins to old things. #NYCSchoolsTechChat

A4: I’d like to do @GooseChaseEDU to showcase how we used it with administrators in a year long scavenger hunt in AP teams....administrators like to have fun too!! It’s trickled down to classrooms & school wide hunts #NYCSchoolsTechChat
A2. Well, I'm a teacher so I can only what vendors offer to teachers free of charge. However, when we use their products and spread the word, we make their products known to others. I like to know what they offer #NYCSchoolsTechChat
A4 I really hope folks submit poster sessions on accessibility. The amazing @Loristava will be coordinating our first ever poster session at the #NYCSchoolsTech Summit. #NYCSchoolsTechChat

A3. Teaching is ever evolving with teachers who embrace new tech to advance teaching and learning. I'm interested in learning about assessment tools that would connect directly with Skedula. @Skedula#NYCSchoolsTechChat
I think one of the biggest was changing or reorganizing the venue, because the vendor area was packed and so were a lot of sessions. #NYCSchoolsTechChat

A5 Personally I think learning to pick the right tools and not reinventing the wheel could be a good discussion. Remember our focus is to get students to use tech as part of the learing process and skills (like coding and making with tech). #NYCSchoolsTechChat
Symbolstix is by the News To You people-I think they have a wider variety of modern symbols (like ones for Black Panther and the Avengers) and some nice online interactive content #NYCSchoolsTechChat
