Hello, #TECHtalkGA!
I'm Angela, Dist ITS for MS/HS in Forsyth Co.
This week, I'm looking forward to finishing up this semester of grad school!! #CohortYOLO
A1: Sarah, 6th grade ELA teacher in Forsyth County. I'm looking forward to both of our boys sleeping through the night. Wishful thinking. And I'm kind of lame (and so tired.) #TECHtalkGA
A1: Happy Monday evening, #TECHTalkGA friends! Cat with #OneJacksonGA.
I am looking forward to wrapping up the scoring of our second round of 1:1 Chromebook Classroom Grant applications this week!
#TECHtalkGA A2: This might sound lame, but Twitter and all of the awesome people I have connected with on here inspire me on a daily basis to do more, be more, try more!
Hey all! #TECHtalkGA I'm Pam Pettyjohn, instructional technology coordinator for Whitfield County Schools and looking forward to our first Edcamp Whitfield Organizers' planning meeting for next year!
A2: Being in a classroom with kids that are loving the learning that is going on. It's magic. Seeing the light bulbs go off. The innate passion they have! Awesomeness! #TECHTalkGA
A2: all the people I have read through my Twitter feed this school year have inspired me to buy books, try new lessons, look for the good in everyone, and just to try new ideas in my classroom
#TECHTalkGA
That's so important too, because at the end of the day, that's why we do what we do. We might think it's about the teachers, but it's really about the impact they have on students and in the classroom!
#TECHtalkGA
A3: I hope to inspire others by paying forward the kindness and patience that has been shown to me. I hope to inspire and never discourage! #TECHTalkGA
A3
I want to create a culture that grows leaders. I try to give #fcsdot roles that push and enable them. It's important to grow the next generation of leaders in our districts and in our state.
#TECHtalkGA
#TECHtalkGA A3: Tough question (thx, @JFarm π)!
I don't generally think of myself of inspiring. But if I DID think that I could inspire people, it would be by helping them believe that they can do *it*, that they can try the new thing, that they can overcome the challenge.
A3: I hope to inspire others by sharing and seeking out those change agents that will help pay it forward. My motto is to educate, encourage, and empower. #TECHTalkGA
A3: By showing others that there are more than one way to reach our students. Edtech makes it so that we can reach students in many different ways. #TECHTalkGA
Amy - Google trainer in SC - popping in! :-)
A3: I try to model a love of learning and willingness to try/fail/try again. I hope educators with whom I work are inspired by my passion for personal and professional growth.
#TECHTalkGA
A4: Making sure they have a safe, engaging forum to speak their minds and articulate their passions without fear. Give them voice in the classroom and beyond (blogs, podcasts, video production, etc.). They can and will amaze us! #TECHTalkGA
A4: Modeling is key! I also think providing opportunities for kids to have authentic learning experiences they might not normally have helps inspire them to "see" beyond their "world" #TECHTalkGA
Hmm, that's maybe a good word for it. I got it with my Ss, but I'm awe-inspired by all of the amazing #ETCoaches I see and feel like I'm playing the understudy role in a play that everyone knows was originally cast for someone else.

A4
I think that we have to model that for students first.
If educators have a growth mindset that puts students first, then students will feel the energy when they walk in a school or classroom.
#TECHtalkGA
A4: By creating a culture where Ss feel safe to openly discuss strengths/weakness and celebrate differences. Everyone has something great to contribute to the community... everyone has a lot to learn.
#TECHtalkGA
#TECHtalkGA A4:
I think that teaching Ts to encourage peer feedback & modeling is a good start. Also important to encourage a culture of sharing and collaboration in and out of the classroom.

A3 #TECHTalkGA: I hope to inspire others by helping them (1) believe in themselves, (2) remove constraints and make happen what they thought could not, (3) serve students and teachers with passion and empathy, (4) push for radical transparency, (5) feel fulfilled in their roles.
A5
I think that @ClintWinter already got this one.
Student ownership of learning is key. Compliance means that they'll take the path of least resistance. PBL / student interest activities are engaging, and it can be hard to stop students.
#TECHtalkGA
A5: while it is still slightly scary for some Ts, I think itβs so important to get our Ss publishing content and sharing products with authentic audiences in a responsible and intentional way.
#TECHtalkGA
#TECHtalkGA A5: encourage local collaboration, virtual or not, connect them podcasting, vlogs, blogs, let Ss express themselves! They are intelligent π
A5: Being an example for them. As many have stated in previous answers, if they have the opportunity, preparation, and support they can accomplish great things. Empathy, bias, and integrity are not easy to understand and navigate but lessons we all need! #TECHTalkGA
A5: Help them find their "tribe" too. Why can't we teach them how to successfully find their "Student Learning Network"? Learning from others AND contributing is an important skill that helps feed encouragement and empowerment. #TECHTalkGA
A3 I hope to inspire others to 1) keep students as the focal point 2) tell their school story through social media & 3) provide regular opportunities for students to publish their work in the community. We are teaching citizens! #TECHTalkGA
Yay! I'm so glad that you were both able to make it back to kick off Year 2! Hard to believe that it's already been a whole year since we started this craziness!
I'm so grateful for this amazing #TECHtalkGA community that inspires me daily!
So true. We have to educate them as well...and join the same team. Ss as young as elem school are already producing content and publishing online- on their own. I think we as Ts (and parents) need to adapt & help Ss use their voices for good. :-) #TECHtalkGA
Great to "see you all" tonight! Thank you again for joining the #TechTalkGA chat. The passion and support from such an amazing group of learners is truly INSPIRING!
