A2: My PLN serves as a mentor for me. As a New T I can participate in twitter chats and ask questions to get advice and ideas
my first few years are the reason why I want to give back to new teachers. I received a ton of support!

A2: Start with what you got. Keep the emails of all your TEd colleagues and teacher mentors. Expand from there!
A2: get on Twitter, start looking around trying to learn something new...learning takes risks sometimes you have to just go for it!

A1: As a college student who is a part of this chat cause of a class I am taking, talk to professors about how to start/build a PLN

Q3: thinking back to my first year in HE, I valued the array of perspectives/tools used by those not in my immediate network/field

A3: I'd say that it can support you to grow in the areas of your work that are still a struggle. Like tech to support your pedagogy.
A3: I also think an e-PLN allows new teachers to bring ideas to their school team - which can build confidence & a sense of value

A4: That might be a tough one. I'd say get a mentor who is already on Twitter and have them connect you to good peeps to follow.
