Morning friends! Today is the 2 year anniversary of our last day of school where we lost an awesome science teacher, Xc coach,& my best friend. One of the reasons I don't count down to the last day of school, every day is a gift &think I'll honor it today with a run #bfc530

Well, this is my first week on vacation so itโs definitely changed. During the school year it starts with morning arrival & then collaborating with GL & individual teachers, modeling lessons, working with Ss ( & sometimes I even eat lunch ๐) #BFC530

I teach 2 ELL classes and have administrative departmental duties the rest of the time. I wish my day had less plugging up holes and more connecting with people time. #bfc530
We are given our special schedule and lunch schedule. There rest of up to me. I love teaching self-contained for that reason. I do math first thing, then science. ELA is all afternoon. #bfc530

Up around 430 to chat and get ready for the day, 520 to the gym for class, 650 on the way to work, work from 730 till 4, at the Y by 5, short walk till 530, get the kids by 545, home for dinner, homework and asleep by 930. Wish I spent less time on social media sometimes. #bfc530
Our T day starts at 7:35, Ss at 7:50. I wish that were a bit later. We also have 2 days per week w/ regularly scheduled meetings till 4 that start after student dismissal. Not always productive. #bfc530

Our schedule is 80 min blocks that meet every other day. Except lunch is 40 min which is a nice change from what it was. The roughest part of my schedule is the commute ! But there's no after school activities for my kids this week so I feel like vacation already started #bfc530

#bfc530 Oh boy, a lot for today's question: I am pacikng up 18 years worth of materials and changing classrooms. At #school from 6 AM until 7 ot 8 PM . Home to finish correcting, and then same thing the next day. #Coffee is my best friend these days.
#BFC530#bfc530 my day schedule is ok, wish it was an earlier start and finish. Too many interruptions-prep is at a different time every day and I have to cover other classes while my kids go to music and phys ed. ๐
Iโm nervous for my schedule next year- I will be teaching 2 different math lessons on a given day. Iโve been lucky to teach the same lesson 4x per day for the past few years. I hope Iโll be able to keep it straight! #BFC530

My personal schedule is up at 5 - 5:30 chat to school by 6:45; kids come at 8:15 usually at school until 4; then gym. Lately I have been going to the gym in the AM and I LOVE it (but not today) #bfc530
Love my schedule. Instruction until 10:30, then "brunch", 40 minutes of instruction, then prep, then 80 minutes of instruction, then dismissal. The day flies by, and my bathroom breaks are evenly spaced, which is convenient. #bfc530
I teach one subject 4c a day for 47 minutes and 1 class of research skills. Itโs less than ideal since I teach 10 yr olds and it fragments their understanding of concepts. #bfc530
That'll be me at the end of this week. I changed rooms 3 times in 5 yrs. Know I'll be staying put in this one for a good long while, so it's time to really organize & purge. #bfc530

Doesnโt matter what our schedule is, there is always work to be done, right? There is always a book to read, a chat to participate, a new PD book to explore. That is what I chose to do at home. #bfc530

Start w math and reading, in between we do fitness goals which helps their focus. Break, then writing Afternoon is sc/ss. We have tea time/book talk every Friday. If I could change anything it would be to have an open pbl schedule instead of one subject at a time. #bfc530
I spent about 3 days boxing up my classroom to move across the hall. Luckily our district gifted every t a day off w pay on our last day so yesterday I spent all day in there finishing and still got paid which was super nice and exceptionally rare. #bfc530

Next year, we are cutting down to 3 grade level classes, so three periods will be 8:50, 10:05, 11:20. Intervention will be embedded into the period. At 1:15 each teacher will have a 12 week social studies group (I will focus on math components of social studies). #bfc530

Same here. My Ss didnโt know our state bordered Canada. When asked to name a state one s said Mexico and another said Boston! Alarming. We started doing #mysteryskype and they greatly improved their US skills at least, but we have a long way to go.

Life of a SPED T is constant moving. I have been in my current district for 13 yrs in 2 schools, 9 yrs in 1 school and 7 different rooms, 4 yrs in the 2nd school and 4 rooms. I have learned to keep only what I use. Wish I could do that at home! #bfc530

As an elementary SPED T I create my schedule and it constantly changes based of # of Ss & their needs. Typically have 30 groups usually 5-6 groups in the morning 30-40min lunch another 30-40 min plan and 3-4 more groups. Keeps me hopping around and I โค it! #bfc530
