I didn't use jobs. Each child took turns answering and asking questions. After the first few Skypes, we had it mastered.

A6) We ask whether or not the kids had fun! The supervisor also gives feedback on how we might improve for next time

A6 ss debrief right after. Lots of self assessment going on. Thinking about a questionnaire, too. "How involved did you feel?"etc.

A7) We haven't yet... however you could easily do some math problems. Calculate the distance between schools.
Reading assessments are tricky though. Can Ss comprehend & use text evidence to answer a question? Huge skill that must be checked

A7: MysterySkype is often a bouncing off point. Leads to more research of the Earth/biology.

We hit 10,000 Skype miles recently...now we're shooting for 15,000!
A8: We did a Skype with my HS foreign exchange "sister" and had to guess "where in the world is Ivone" (archiologist in Europe)
