A2 Sometimes challenging those around us to approach learning with an open mind (and keep it open) can be a growth experience.
A2 Leaders can challenge others by setting the bar high. Be transparent w/ur own growth & challenges.
A2: Don't share feedback - EXCHANGE feedback - you to them and vice versa. Create a culture where evry1 challenges evry1 to grow.
Yes Co-teaching provides comfort+guidance It empowers+allows for gradual release https://t.co/VXSUebo1gY
. Coach learns more than who we coach. Co-teaching makes big difference in the journey. https://t.co/F40QwkjnU7
Which means we are all on a journey and can always improve. And, the coach is also a learner.
Sometimes it is hard for leaders to get out of their comfort zone. We have to let people know who we are! https://t.co/g50sYmoKFg

A2: provide others opportunity to grow. Let them lead learning & help others grow
You can take its hubcaps, though!
Had an AP encourage Ts to set 'eye popping' goals. In other words, "what's your moon shot for this coming school year?"
delivery matters. People like to be inspired not told to do something new. They want to create/improve not copy.
A2: Leaders "coach up" by sharing leadership throughout the building. More we and less me.
Becoming proficient with Google has helped me enormously. I have become much more efficient.
Hi ! LaVonna from Tampa- jumping in for a few minutes! is leading the pack!

Great coaches approach work with a "let's go win" attitude instead of a "let's try not to lose".
A2: I'm big on encouraging others to take risk. We grow through what we go through, so step out and get messy!
We are not "techy" we are relevant. We worked for it. It is not a talent.

A3: I think one of the best ways is to provide frequent feedback and praise. Let the "team" know their is VALUE in the work.
great leaders make the people around them better ...
There is no growth without change. If we don't change, we become obsolete & irrelevant. BlockbusterVideo is an example.
Important for coaches not to sugarcoat at the same time. If it didn't work, tell me. Help me grow.
A2 Use your school's vision to challenge others to rise to what is good for kids.
I've often wondered if all inst leaders should be deeply trained in art of coaching individuals and teams. Any models out there?
Great coaches set the bar high with expectations. But they don't stop there. They provide the right support to help you meet goals
should be the root of everything we do, love it! https://t.co/PPBooxfGuP
We are not "techy" we are relevant. We worked for it. It is not a talent.
Great perspective! Always glass half full.

Absolutely! Our comfort zone is a place where mediocre things happen. https://t.co/arji0rGYGN
It's definitely how we grow. Growth begins when we get out of our comfort zone.
Everyone is different. Can't coach everyone the same way. The best in the business know which buttons to push and when.
Coaching isn't about meeting district goals ... it is about individual teacher goals and redefining possible in the classroom
if we create a part of us will always live in future creations and improvements. It's our legacy!
Roll up your sleeves and lead by example....

Q3: Leaders Coach Along! How can leaders best guide others through a project, initiative, or activity?

A3: 💜 starting leading new initiative by listing what's already on the plate.

What plan, idea, or scheme can defeat this, and how do I keep this from happening?
Wait, Zach - do you go to LifePoint, too? Did I know that?
A4: If I was sitting in my class, would I feel supported to bring my best?
A3 Communication is key to supporting educators through projects-don't just speak supportively, show it & share it!
Must learn from experiences and use those to guide others as well as your decisions to foster continued growth
A4: What aspect of this made you feel the most fulfilled? How do you expand on that?
It really does get people to think a bit differently. Also conveys I believe you're capable of making magic happen
A4-In my years as a coach I asked Ts & Ss 2 questions that we very powerful-What are you thinking? and What do you notice?
Freedom to fail is part of a healthy school culture.
A4:How can we improve? What could we have done to get better? What can we do differently next time? Did I give everything I could?
Dr. G & Gotta bail! Thank you for creating a space for people to connect, share, & learn from each other. PEACE.

Appreciate you being here, brother!
They seem pretty slow to adapt to anything.
A4: How do you think that worked? How can we improve it for next time?
This is why schools need to narrow their focus to the real work! What is most important?
A4: Is what you're doing working? If so, who's it working for? Hope you can say kids!
A2. In addition to ur answer, follow through in having others implement the "walk the talk" https://t.co/fOZ04XbjnX
A2: Leaders "coach up" by walking the talk of what is expected in classrooms through example.

A4 Which Ss did not have their needs met with this lesson? How can I catch them next time?
The word MAGIC just makes your want to smile, dream, and create meaningful experience for kids! All in the words!
I don't think so. Austin can't handle me twice in 5 months.
A4 how could that lesson have been better? What did you learn from this? How can we take to next level? https://t.co/ZqIIRHzfu7
A4: i love when people say, I don't think it's possible? That's my cue 2 ask Why Not? Then ok, what if? Then, is it possible? YES
A3: model and stay involved. Having Ts ask Ss questions and throw an idea in helps so much while still encouraging independence
A4: How could we use tech to enhance this?
A4 I like asking, what's the worst thing that can happen?
Exactly, yet we often lead/coach as we prefer & what motivates us. Same as how we often teach.
A4: What do you think? Why do you think that way?
A4 How are students demonstrating that they are active learners?
A4: What type of accountability will you need to implement a new teaching strategy successfully?
A4: "what do you think worked and didn't work in this lesson?"

Yes! Can't wait to say hi!
You are SO right!! I am very deliberate about my word choice. It really does make a difference.
A4) Any question/criticism that causes and allows me to reflect. Reflection allows space& opportunity for refinement.
A4. What would you differently next time? What went well? Both questions motivate me
A4b what's best for the kids? (Gets me thinking harder every time)
A4: How can it be improved? Were all students challenged? What aspects would you repeat/change?
A2) Great coaches focus on the execution of his/her team not the talents of the opponent. John Wooden never scouted his opponents.

if you ever get the chance at a conference to see and do Lead Like A PIRATE, don't miss it.

I use Voxer to leave immediate feedback after a walkthrough.
A4: would my own kids be proud of what I just did?
A4: How will the "effort" have an "impact" on Ss learning? How do you know Ss learned today? What is your evidence? Why?
A3 So helpful to check in throughout the process. Not just in the beginning & end. Get temperate checks. https://t.co/rJ7gcrUAqe
Q3: Leaders Coach Along! How can leaders best guide others through a project, initiative, or activity?
A4: Many times it is simply "why"...and then "why". Pushes my thinking to justify or change course. https://t.co/9EL9qpQOQK
A4: "How could you do it more like a pirate?" 😊
Most important- time for you.
Zach - will you DM your email address?
A4: why not "that kid"? I find ways to make every kid have a shot
A4 How could the process be more student driven? What would you like to change to make it reach all?
A4 What have you learned? What have your students learned?
A4: "What can you do different next time?" Makes me reflect and focus on moving forward.
True- When we're in the service of others instead of our own agendas- we show relationship is genuine
A4: What did I do to help improve our school this week? Or, did students benefit from my decisions?
***Q5 is coming up in one minute!
