Gonna build a place mat with my Grade 3/4 kids on what specific core competencies look, feel, sound and hear like, & share their life experiences with each other. In this way, I can merge culturally sustaining pedagogical practices with core competencies. #BCEdChat

I didnāt explicitly refer to the core competencies or have them reflect on them in the previous version of the reflection pkg. CC graphics are in it but the kids might not āgetā how the reflection & goal setting actually connects to the CCs. Hence intention to change it #bcedchat

Iām reminded now of that saying... āSS enter school as question marks of curiosity and move to intermediate and secondary as periods.ā Iāve got No time to blame. Too busy holding and extending the questions, the curiosities, the explorations.

Part of what has challenged my ability to deepen work w/ Core Competencies = completely switching curricular areas for dif placements. Iām hoping people upload what they have created to the @Teach_BC resource bank so as to seed ideas! Tangible examples help me learn. #bcedchat
