Q1- The educators I work with are constantly making educational materials. The focus is usually on making them accessible for their particular students. The hope is to start focusing on making them accessible for all #atchat
So true. That would have almost been an easier fix for this school. Now, many materials need to be re-made in order to be accessible to TTS browser tools #ATchat

Good points on the need for accessible podcasts. How would one go about making a podcast accessible? Via transcript on the website or is there a tool/trick out there? #atchat
So happy to see the relationship between #a11y and #AT discussed tonight.. it doesn’t happen enough. I was just giving a lecture to a class about this tonight. You can’t have one without the other! #atchat

Q6: We don’t rely much on tools, as they are often fail. But, we do provide a lot of training and support! We also leverage tools like #CADET, YouTube, and Facebook auto generation w/cleanup for captions. Our most important thing is a thorough eval process! #ATChat
Checklists for various items, WCAG standards in an understandable format, and testing protocol for ourselves (for products) and any testers we hire.. its a big part of our procurement process, too! #atchat
While it only creates open captions, it is a great way to get kids started with thinking about #a11y, since it is so easy to use and fun! #ATChat ##EveryOneCanCreate
A6: Our IT director set a goal to make our district site accessible a while back after sharing @w3c resources. When others ask for revisions/style changes, he reminds them of the importance of #a11y. Continuous process. #Atchat
