Leslie in Indy, middle grades and I can't think of a favorite one thing, loved every minute of this year.
A1 -Fave title of moment-Throne of Glass series. Love beginning of year activities to get kids moving& familiar with .
My favorite activity is seeing our senior helpers walk through the school in their caps and gown.
A1 - I need some! End of first yr in lib from classroom. Been busy w book fair, inventory, testing, and now iPad collecting!
R1: EOY celebrations related to reading, and a BOGO book fair to get affordable books in kid hands for the summer reading.
a1: My (new) favorite activity for end of the year is . Sharing The Thank You book w/ all grades & sharing gratitude

In the past I always create a list and make copies for the local public library.
A2 (part 2): our public library had a great program so I promote that.
A2 We have a summer reading page on the library website here: https://t.co/VX6XbJN81D We use to make book trailers.
A2- Had PL come in to chat w some classes &have table out at lunches. Working on summer reading lists. Just had a book fair.
A2: promote state reading lists for next school year w/ bookmarks & summaries & have rating online; Teen Lib from PL visits
R2- Share local and national programs and events, nominees, etc to staff, students and parents

We are reading one book for the whole school and later the author is coming to speak to all of us.. Craig Macfarlane.

Recently had staff ask if Ts could check out books over the summer. I hadn't thought about it but was excited to jump in&say yes!
This is the first summer that I have no PD plans. Retirement in 9 days.
I'm going to a tech. 2 day workshop with makerspace ideas and the ALA conference in Orlando .
