Another shoutout for . Body language talk always amazes me as well. https://t.co/AA7uMkckii
-
-
was incredible! Happy to see how it works. Also body language was pretty neat! Thanks for an AWESOME day at
-
A1: I love the energy of an edcamp and learning from other educators! Now I want to do a with my colleagues
-
Nice! I restarted using and LOVE it!
-
Learned about QFT and started using it in my classroom today. Powerful!!!
-
-
Hey How's everybody doing?
-
Oooo! Sean!! Awesome!! I have to use it...so much to do so little time!
-
-
I learned/reminded how important it is to stick with one app/program/idea and use it well
-
edcamps are fabulous! Will be attending 3 in April.
-
A1: the demonstrated need to be continuously engaged and open to learning. Plus it was good to connect in person.
-
Looked like it was going well, Sean. Glad it worked out.
-
Q2: Have you been able to use any of your new learning with your students?
-
-
I started QFT as well. What did you struggle with
-
it's so cool! I told my kids about and they found it interesting as well. They said they were going to watch mine now!
-
-
I saw your video. Looked dope.
-
-
Nice. What was your first Q-Focus?
-
I had to fight myself not to use what I learned about Body Language over the weekend
-
-
A2: I don't have my own Ss but I definitely know of ways to use format for PD with Ts
-
It won't be me. Where are you headed at 9?
-
-
That's intimidating. Definitely a lot to think about in that talk. Good idea sharing it with the students.
-
A2: I reintroduced to my Ss & found more ways to use it effectively - about to order
-
bed! Can't do a chat after 9. Gotta get sleep to be ready for
-
Oh - I DEFINITELY brought the energy of back to my classroom - I feel like I"m on fire still!
-
I started the session with a map of the US. What impact do humans have on land?
-
Your dedication to inspires me
-
-
You are a ROCKSTAR Hutch!
-
good stuff, Sean. So amazing right. Making Ss the questioners is where it's at.
-
okay--I will do the 9 and you cover the 5:30 for me. Deal?
-
I hope you added more pictures to your Seesaw 😜
-
Noo...but I HAVE added more student work ;)
-
I used a Q focus about nonfiction genres
-
-
A2: Definitely took on 's challenge - didn't talk about school until I asked every one of my Ss how their weekend was
-
I know many of you read it already but here is a blog post I wrote about attending
-
A2: don't have students, but breakoutEDU could be good for teachers and admin- they need some fun, too.
-
we use to reflect after, which was so valuable and essential for next time.
-
Oh that's awesome! Now I want to try Qfocus - maybe that will be my after break goal!
-
-
Enjoyed informal conversations during down times on and schedules as well.
-
Ooo...that's a great simple idea!
-
It's always about building relationships... https://t.co/TA8MSnAXez
-
-
A2: Definitely took on 's challenge - didn't talk about school until I asked every one of my Ss how their weekend was
-
A2: we have done more with . also readthe book I won thanks to . The energy is still going strong even w/conferences
-
A2: Yep...tried mirroring the body language of THAT student...a work in progress!
-
-
Did Ss deliver on the questioning? Would love to see examples from another 6th grade class.
-
Q3: Why do you think the style of PD work?
-
I totally think that having it the week before conferences will power me through!
-
's head is growing by the minute here. He's going to demand candy compensation next https://t.co/VXUhogwmPx
-
-
A2: Definitely took on 's challenge - didn't talk about school until I asked every one of my Ss how their weekend was
-
A3: Simple. It's based on choice. Who doesn't love choice in what they want to learn.
-
Who -- every person of every age loves choice -- we need to give more choice to students
-
Sure, Melissa. Haha. Just try it.
-
Um, hello... style is where it's at. I only wish there were more believers in my district. Right, ?
-
A3: Mirrors the student-centered approach we have in classrooms: totally personalized!
-
A3: We differentiate instruction, why not PD? Also, educators know what we do and dont need for PD. Choices are great!
-
Honestly - can't say it any better
-
-
Question formulation technique. It's a way to get Ss asking their own questions through brainstorming. Great stuff.
-
Have you been to New Fairfield? A bunch of poop heads!
-
A3: choice! And level of the playing field together not separate, one knows more than another
-
A3: it is a learner-centered approach to PD - same idea that should be reflected in classrooms.
-
Unfortunately, not all Ts buy into the idea of owning their own learning. Lots of pushback when we tried.
-
A3: the law of 2 feet; plus a chance for Ts to share their expertise in a relaxed atmosphere. Lrn what they want to discuss.
-
That's really sad...but I know I see it around here too
-
Not an expert but the q focus starts the conversation.( Picture, sentence, etc)
-
You're not alone. Sometimes I feel like I'm on a deserted island in my school. https://t.co/jyWM6zj9y3
-
-
Unfortunately, not all Ts buy into the idea of owning their own learning. Lots of pushback when we tried.
-
And the awesome number of conversations that start!
-
I LOVE because it connects amazing educators and creates conversation I didn't think I would ever have
-
that's why Twitter has been so valuable. It's refreshing to be around many positive educators.
-
-
What she said! She's so smart! https://t.co/xPouZgYnLg

-
Twitter, yes! And has been an amazing communication/networking tool for me lately!
-
It only takes one to influence change. Keep plugging along, keep learning.
-
I will share for sure. Ss did deliver . I had to adjust Q focus for one section from another
-
Not anymore, Leon. Now you've got a group to reach out to and share ideas.
-
Come join every Tuesday @ 8pm - make your island less lonely & connect w awesome
-
Dear , now that is over, how can you carry on new learning and help others to promote action?
-
Will do now! I definitely feel the CT love!
-
-
That happens to me also. Sometimes I find I put too much bias in my q-focus and it sways the thinking.
-
That is is the power of twitter, and f2f conversations. To combat the silos that cut us off
-
Participate in twitter chats, push my own comfort limits, & talk about what you are doing to help others see it & try it
-
. Hmm, good idea- but I don't know if I can get it that fast!
-
I have started my own PD every Thursday. Begin the conversation
-
One thing I hope to do is to get in classrooms more often to support Ts rather than meet them on duty pds https://t.co/gRFXoDciOZ
-
-

Slow down the pace with Q2: What is your preferred method of winding down when you find some free time?
