A1 reinventing is taking what you perceive to be stronger qualities and keeping, weaker qualities and working on them, a merge in a sense, going further, starting over is clean slate #eduar

@D4Griffin3, @bethhill2829, @nortnik, @Lindsey_Bohler
A1: Reinventing yourself is taking what you have learned and going forward from there. Starting over is throwing out everything and using a blank slate. #EduAR

A1) reinventing yourself is building upon past learning moments to further reach your potential where starting over is just one more step in the evolution of who you can and will become #eduar
A1: When you reinvent yourself, you begin from where you are. You take the best part of you and some new ideas to create a better version of yourself. It is something we all strive to do...learn, grow, improve, own new learning/ideas! #eduAR
A1: I see reinventing ourselves is taking our greatest strengths and using those to become stronger, and to continue working on areas of growth that add value to our WHY. #EduAR
A1 Reinventing yourself is about expressing your message in a more powerful way to reflect your "why" as opposed to changing your core values and what you truly believe in. #eduar
A1. Reinventing oneself begins with self reflection and takes courage. You see who you are in the moment, recognize you want more & take action to be re-born. Change your trajectory. #eduAR
A1 Every experience you have shapes who you, so you can’t really ever truly start over. You can, however, mold and reshape (reinvent) yourself to grow, become better, strong, and make a significant mark on those around you #EduAr
A1) Explaining that innovation is about changing something to make it better not just changing it for change sake. Reinventing oneself is allowing one to take what is there and tweaking it by making it greater. “Failing forward” means not throwing everything out. #eduar
A1~reinventing ~taking all the good qualities, & the lessons from the bumps in the road & applying them in a new refreshed way w/ hope for a better tomorrow #EduAr
A1: Reinventing involves making changes using elements/characteristics you already possess. Starting over to me sounds like a complete redesign/overhaul. #EduAr
A1: Starting over is operating under the same set of circumstances and hoping for different outcomes. Reinventing yourself is shifting paradigms. The very context in which you operated previously is being reshaped in the name of bettering yourself. #eduAr
A1. I think reinventing yourself requires that you know what you believe and what you do what you do. If your life doesn’t reflect these things, you need to consider changes that need to be made to be who you are called to be. #eduAR
A1: When we reinvent ourselves it isn’t a new start - it’s the culmination of and the clarity obtained from one important stretch of the journey. #EduAR
A1: Reinventing is Learning your strengths and changing a plan going forward based off of them. You aren’t getting rid of the events that let to that point. #EduAR
Q2) On many occasions, our reinvention is determined by our circumstances. Why should we proactively tap into the power of reinvention to serve our students? #EduAR@bethhill2829@nortnik@Lindsey_Bohler
A1. Staring over is starting from scratch or clean slate while reinventing yourself is maximizing your strengths / positives to make a change. It is maximizing the best “you” #eduAr
That is one of the hardest things for young adults to grasp! When they begin to trust what they are learning “adulting” doesn’t feel so overwhelming! #EduAR
A1: Starting over is operating under the same set of circumstances and hoping for different outcomes. Reinventing yourself is shifting paradigms. The very context in which you operated previously is being reshaped in the name of bettering yourself. #eduAr
A1: Reinventing yourself is applying your experiences to become a better version of you. Starting over is forgetting/not using everything you know. #eduAr
A2: If we stay stagnant, our kids and teachers will too. Continue to innovate and invigorate as your tribe needs it. One of my favorite quotes from Bobby Knight, “If you’re not getting better, you’re getting worse.” #EduAR
A1: Reinventing yourself is applying your experiences to become a better version of you. Starting over is forgetting/not using everything you know. #eduAr
A1: I have trouble with the “starting over.” Every experience good or bad has helped shape who we are. You can call it staring over but those experiences have prepared you for reinvention. Reinventing is taking all those experiences and building upon them. #eduAR
A1~reinventing ~taking all the good qualities, & the lessons from the bumps in the road & applying them in a new refreshed way w/ hope for a better tomorrow #EduAr
A2: The best skill of a leader/ teacher is that you know what type of leader to be in certain situations. “Reinventing” yourself can also mean know what type of skills to use when dealing with certain people at different times. #EduAr
Q2) On many occasions, our reinvention is determined by our circumstances. Why should we proactively tap into the power of reinvention to serve our students? #EduAR@bethhill2829@nortnik@Lindsey_Bohler
A2. We have to reinvent ourselves to keep up with change. Ss are changing, so in order to meet their needs, we may have to reinvent ourselves from time to time. #eduAr
A2 We need to help Ss understand that who they are now does not define them. We can all change, slight transformations, build new skills, push through struggles. It is a world of opportunities, and we need to model this for Ss, #eduar

Q2) On many occasions, our reinvention is determined by our circumstances. Why should we proactively tap into the power of reinvention to serve our students? #EduAR@bethhill2829@nortnik@Lindsey_Bohler
A2 We have to teach Ss to focus on what they want to achieve and not what they fear. Let’s change their mindset to FACE EVERYTHING AND RISE above all obstacles! #eduAr
A2: If circumstances call for reinvention, that is usually reactive. Proactive thinking allows you to sharpen the saw and stay ahead of the game. We owe it to our students. #eduAR
In reply to
@D4Griffin3, @bethhill2829, @nortnik, @Lindsey_Bohler
A2) Every student, every class is unique. Every student, every class is growing. We are consistently using reinvention to meet needs....and our goal is a moving target. #makesitfun#eduar
A2: It’s the difference between being a 30 year teacher (29 years with 1year of experience) and a great educator that grows to meet the changing needs of our students #EduAR
A2 It is said you can’t reinvent them wheel, but you can put different treads on it. Our Ss are evolving & so must our practice. It’s foolish not to. Great educators/leaders anticipate obstacles. #EduAr
A2: Because students are not stagnant. To meet their needs, we must be willing to adapt, learn, and grow. Too often we expect incredible transformations from the kids we serve while we model anything but. #eduAr
A1: Gary, retired supt from Illinois, reinvented myself into a trainer for character ed. I become a disciple of change becoming more of the person I was meant to be. #EduAR
Q2) On many occasions, our reinvention is determined by our circumstances. Why should we proactively tap into the power of reinvention to serve our students? #EduAR@bethhill2829@nortnik@Lindsey_Bohler
A2: Our circumstances are what happen to us. our reinvention is how we respond to those circumstances! We teach them to reach down into their strengths whatever that may be and encourage them to rise out of their circumstances and fly right towards their goal! #EduAR
Ok @D4Griffin3 this has got to be an excellent graphic for answering #2 - right? Educators carry the power within themselves as lifelong learners to shift and adjust as innovative practices occur all of the time. #eduar
A2: Teachers must be like shapeshifters (shoutout to The Greedy Triangle). You have to adjust and reinvent yourself constantly to meet students' needs #eduAr
A2 it comes down to being reflective, lifelong learners, being able to adapt and develop the skills to rise above challenges, dream big, fail at times, but use it to make us better #eduar
A2: Our circumstances are what happen to us. our reinvention is how we respond to those circumstances! We teach them to reach down into their strengths whatever that may be and encourage them to rise out of their circumstances and fly right towards their goal! #EduAR
A2: Some of the greatest learning happens when we unlearn. When we unlearn in front of students we show them our human side and being human in front of our students may just be the best thing we can be. #eduAR
Q2) On many occasions, our reinvention is determined by our circumstances. Why should we proactively tap into the power of reinvention to serve our students? #EduAR@bethhill2829@nortnik@Lindsey_Bohler
A2: Our circumstances can’t define us! We must rise above. It is #AudaciousApril@MapleWarriors. I am asking what bold risk are you willing to take to finish strong for your Ss and colleagues? #eduAR
A2-How we react to the "cards we are dealt" is key to not only our success but also happiness. If we can give our students the gift of perspective, of perseverance, of gratitude for what is, rather than longing for what is not we are truly educating them. #eduar
A2 It is said you can’t reinvent the wheel...but you can put different treads on it. Our Ss are evolving & so must our practice. It’s foolish not to. Great educators/leaders anticipate obstacles. #EduAr
A2: In order to grow ALL kids, we have to be able to reach ALL kids. To do that, we have to be able to change and innovate to meet the needs of each individual child. #EduAR
A2~ think it is necessary to really and truly meet our Ss where they are In any given moment ~ this power of reinvention not only greatly benefits them , but our growth in teaching&learning too👍#EduAr
A2: when our Ss see us engaging in our own personal growth, visibly taking risks, asking for feedback and adjusting based our mistakes, they will follow #eduAR
A2) I feel this sort of speaks to students not living up to expectations of them that don’t match their potential and avoiding the self-fulfilling prophecy #eduar
A2: we owe it to our students to put them in situations where they have to be flexible. If we don’t push them to reinvent then they won’t be able to handle the changes that life will throw at them. #EduAR
A2:) If I can produce circumstances that will lead to students being reinvented, it means that I have succeeded in helping them discard beliefs that don’t work in favor of ideas that do. #eduar
A2: In order to grow ALL kids, we have to be able to reach ALL kids. To do that, we have to be able to change and innovate to meet the needs of each individual child. #EduAR
A2: We have to remain relevant, innovate and authentic! We have to change the game!! Continuously challenging archaic processes & practices to be better than we were yesterday! #EduAR
A1: Gary, retired supt from Illinois, reinvented myself into a trainer for character ed. I become a disciple of change becoming more of the person I was meant to be. #EduAR
A2: The best power of reinvention lies in leveraging everything one has ever done – the good, the bad, the ugly, the successes & failures by tapping into the very real skills, insights & expertise gained along the way #EduAR
Q3) The process of reinvention should not happen in isolation. Entertainers hire a team to help them on their journey.
Let’s give a shout out to people we would have on our team. What role would they play?
#EduAr@bethhill2829@nortnik@Lindsey_Bohler
A2) Providing the most current & authentic experiences for young adults requires my engaged learning, practice & reflection. Each of those allows me to reinvent myself & teaching style. #eduAr
A3: My #CEtribe@CentralCabotpK4 invests in my growth as a leader each and every day. The kids, families, and community that make #CEunited also push me to be the best version of myself. I am continually transforming. #EduAR#JoyfulLeaders
A2. Reinventing = Refinement. Trials can refine us if we see it as a tool for growth, but we should also be proactive & always be working to refine ourselves as educators and human beings in order to best serve others. #eduAR
A3: @vanessafalcinel@CabotCe@c3dragons@MBulice@bmilla84 these are just a few who are helping me reinvent myself with support in collaboration ideas, technology integration, and behavioral contributions. Love their patience and support! #EduAR
A3. SHOUT OUT ....
to all of those in my Twitter #PLN who have surrounded me with caring, sincere support as I reinvented myself.
In appreciation ....... #eduar
A3: Have been extremelylucky to have a handful of educational rock stars in my corner. @SusanMelbye@sheehyrw@awelcome@_AndyJacks@brewerhm to name a few that have helped me build my PLN along with my educational tool box. We all need to surround ourselves with greats. #EduAR

A3: So many to name and they all play different roles...from family and friends to virtual PLN's to EdCamp Posse. I'm thankful to and for each person and the support and patience they provide. #EduAr
A3: I have many mentors along the way who have helped me get to today. @BrklynBamm@PaulONeill1972 and the many twitterless educators: Mike Spohn, Prof. DeAguero (@MDCollege). SO MANY TO MENTION! #EduAR

A3~qualities would include positive peeps who have the Ss best interests at ❤️, have high expectations for ALL Ss, love unconditionally, peeps who speak up w/fearless abandon for their littles & welcome and support diversity ...@hayes_melisa@_mlb25#EduAr
A3: My #ALA Teacher Leadership Group....they inspire me. My team at #misbilliesrock....they teach me. Admins like @Jworkman97 support my growth. And twitter world...you start my day off with positivity every day! #eduAR
A3 as for roles, we would mix it up, break the traditional roles and just go for student engagement, personal and professional growth and have fun learning together #eduar
Q4) When you decide to reinvent yourself, everyone will not condone your decision. How do we handle the adversity that comes from family, colleagues, and critics that remind us of who we were, versus, who we are trying to become?
#EduAr@bethhill2829@nortnik@Lindsey_Bohler
A3: My past, present, and future students are who encourage me to constantly strive to reinvent myself as a teacher. I must be willing to change to meet my students’ needs. #EduAR
A3. I think that everyone I have had meaningful contact with have influenced me. They served as examples of what I want to be & what I don’t want to be. My reinvention process takes pieces from the meaningful ppl in my life. #eduAr
A3: My #ALA Teacher Leadership Group....they inspire me. My team at #misbilliesrock....they teach me. Admins like @Jworkman97 support my growth. And twitter world...you start my day off with positivity every day! #eduAR
A3. One thing I’ve done well is surround myself with people who are more gifted, intelligent, experienced and knowledgeable than I am...they have been invaluable counselors who speak into my life. They encourage and correct when needed. #eduAR
A4: This is a must! We have to believe in why we are reinventing ourselves. The purpose should fuel our passion which will be evident to the naysayers! #EduAR
A3 b. Roles would have to be mixed, but we'd make it work!
A4: Being KIND, honest, transparent, true to your mission. Do the work that makes you feel great and you believe in and the rest will take care of itself. #EduAr
A3: I have several people who have been a good support and mentor to me over the years. It’s a great benefit to have fellow teachers who I can reach out to for help/encouragement. #EduAR
A4: Part if being transformative a knowing that you may be comfortable in your own skin and some will not be comfortable with your adjustments and paradigm shifts. #EduAR
There will always be someone or a group of someones who will want to stifle change or growth. You have to be the one to show them the beauty that comes with change. #EduAR
A4: My success is not your failure. Your success is not my failure. You be you. I will be me. Surround yourself with people who make you better. #eduAR
A4: Some won't be ready for our transformation when we begin to reinvent ourselves. We may even have to place space between ourselves and others in order to transform. We press on, and pray that the whole picture will be revealed in good time. #EduAR
A3: My @PollyRyonMS Staff is always willing to got the extra mile to reinvent lessons and support our efforts for highly engaging lessons and growth for every kiddo! #prmsrocks#proudprincipal#EduAR
A4. We have to stay true to our reinvention. When you change for the better, some people you knew will no longer be your friends. You no longer have as many things in common. This is a life lesson for Ss. Once you change, friends change #eduAr
A4) I stumbled upon this quote recently that has given me peace when making tough decisions. Ultimately, enemies are an unfortunate cost of doing good. Don’t let them deter you from residing on the right side of history. #EduAr
A4: We must never allow the perceptions of others to become the definitions of ourselves. Who we were, and who we are now, are merely just ingredients that are shaping the person we will become. We get to be the chef of our own destiny. #eduAR
A4~ must stand tall, smile a lot, not accept their version, move forward with optimism , pray for them to see the light 😊, and most importantly , embrace all the good in you, & right for you , and those that follow shine and those that don't,won't! #EduAR
A4: Just like witnessing as a Christian, your testimony is how you handle the adversity. Tell them the story of why and how much better you are as an educator because you reinvented yourself. Testimonies are proof it's worth it. #EduAR
The feeling is oh so mutual! On my most difficult day, it means so much to have folks like you to lift me up and give me the perspective and motivation to be better. #eduAR
A4: Some people are in our lives for a season and when we match their purpose. Some will stick around and cheer as you find and meet yours. It’s not personal. #EduAR
A4: I think about this when relationships get fuzzy. I am so much more intentional about my relationships as I've gotten older. Authenticity is important and creates connections for "reasons" and "lifetimes". #eduar
A4: Just like witnessing as a Christian, your testimony is how you handle the adversity. Tell them the story of why and how much better you are as an educator because you reinvented yourself. Testimonies are proof it's worth it. #EduAR

A4- People who do not support our growth and goal to be better people and better leaders are not a good influence in our life, we need to set clear boundaries and let the know out goals and stay true to them #eduar
A4: Keep on keepin’ on. I’ve found that consistency answers lots of questions. Once people in my sphere see the consistent changes and their positive results, the questions fade. #beyou#EduAr
What I don't think many educators think about is the L O N G range plan ....... when they will reinvent themselves. They are so very focused on the children - their passion - that looking out decades into their own life is rarely done. #eduar
A4) Not always easy to swim upstream alone. Building positive connections F2F & on Twitter keeps my focus on the ’why’ & sharing - more people will jump in making for an easier swim. #eduAr
A4: Surround yourself with as many likeminded people that you can find...those that put the RIGHT things first....KIDS! It’s not what’s easy for adults it’s what is best for our @PollyRyonMS kids...that always wins with us! #EduAR
#eduar A4: We are communal by nature and necessity. To reinvent ourselves, we need the help of those around us. They have learned to expect from and respond to us in a way that has worked for them. If we change, we become a stranger..an unfamiliar. Relationships will be tested.
A5: To continually support his/her quest of reinventing. Show examples of the great's that changed for the better...and worse. As they forge their path, we can help pick up leaves and sticks to make it easier. Life is like wind, just need strong your hair gel sometimes #EduAR

A5: Don’t be afraid to share your story with your students. When they see that we’ve struggled and made it through it gives them hope and inspiration. I’ve told students - guess what - I too take anxiety meds and guess what - it’s OK. #EduAR
A4: hold steadfast in never allowing nor giving permission to anyone to define you. Don’t let negative people rent space in your head; you have to live your life of being yourself. #eduAR
A5: I think the irony of our profession is we expect Ss to face, overcome and learn from adversity, but many times adults struggle to model this expectation! #eduAR
A5 Overcoming adversity will not be easy. When you get to the point that you want to BREAK...change their mindset to BREAK RECORDS! Sometimes we need to STRUGGLE to find SUCCESS! #EduAR
A5) We practice that in our learning. Trying things together that we don’t think are possible. Build the skills to make them part of what we do. Experiencing success after adversity in learning environment empowers young adults going forward in life. #eduAr
#eduar "You" are you + all the relationships you've made. If you are changing, some of those relationships will not endure. They must change too. Be transparent & invite others to change with you. Or be prepared to let those parts of your life go with your former self. Be glad!
A5: Be Strong enough to stand with them and vulnerable enough to share your follies. Students need us to model strength in humility and power in our admissions of weakness. Comic book fans know that under every superhero’s costume resides a fickle fuddled individual. #EduAr
A5: We provide a safe and loving place for kids and adults to feel safe with vulnerability. #EduAR#CEunited

A5. Tough question! Peer pressure is a killer! I would have to tell them that everyone does not have your best interest @ heart & you may have to shake some haters loose. Find friends who are going to raise you up & not bring you down #eduAr
A6: I think participating in Twitter chats and learning from all of you has brought me on a journey of reinvention as I have been able to shift paradigms and discover a truer version of myself. In this process, my goals have changed. #EduAR
A4: We need to expect/embrace naysaying. It’s a challenge but a beautiful one if we can see it that way. It’s a reminder of purpose, perspective bearer & chance to grow. Life’s about learning to dance in the rain so let’s dance through (& even with) naysayers always. #EduAR

a6: We first have to believe that status quo isn't acceptable and we need to continually transform. This is true in our profession, personal life, and society! #eduAR
The reinvention of ourselves to be more empathetic, caring, understanding, and courageous will lead to our students being treated more like humans, not vessels of standards. #EduAr
Q6) How will reinventing ourselves enhance the greater good, and bring about the reinvention of our students, classrooms, schools, and society?
#EduAR@bethhill2829@nortnik@Lindsey_Bohler

A6) A professor of mine told a younger version of me that if I spent half the time bettering myself as I did trying to better the world, I might just succeed at making the world a better place. The words stuck with me ever since. #EduAr
A6b: In the end, I think reinventing myself is creating a person with a greater vision, more skills and a deeper passion. How could that be anything but positive for those I interact with? #EduAR
Q6) How will reinventing ourselves enhance the greater good, and bring about the reinvention of our students, classrooms, schools, and society?
#EduAR@bethhill2829@nortnik@Lindsey_Bohler
A6: I think it’s important to note that reinvention is reflecting - refocusing - and renewing. When we do these things with and in front of our students - we give them permission to do the same. #EduAR
A6) The ability to reinvent yourself implements many of the 21st century skills. Empowering ourselves to be better, reach farther & make a positive impact. #eduAr
A6: Change will always happen so when we teach our students how to reinvent with the changes we are enhancing the greater good! We are creating flexible thinkers in the process! #EduAR
A6~ continuous reinvention means to me the ability to get better in all kinds of scenarios...the process of reinvention/transformation certainly isn't for the weak at❤️just the bravery needed to look deeply at our core & create the best version of ourselves is amazing #EduAR
Hi Jaslyn, NC ESL Teacher K-5 (1st year ESL).
A4: 🤔 IDK. I struggle w/ that now. I honestly don’t know if you can change their mindset. Keep pushing forward w/ the changes you’re making & leave them behind to watch?? 🤷🏽♀️ I think some people just hope you fail. 😞
#EduAr
A6: Perseverance...do it....model it...pass it on. “...This benefits you, who a year ago started...to do this work...So now FINISH doing it as well, so that your readiness in desiring it may be matched by your completing it out of what you have.” 2 Cor 8:10-11 #eduAR
