Hey happy hump day all ! What got you interested in teaching, subject matter or just the desire to teach? https://t.co/ErijexKs4N
Amazing how a few focused hours can make a difference!
Hi Manny! How are you today?
that works ! how was the concert ? https://t.co/CzvjgQ5o3Z
tired but light. I stayed late to chaperone the concert and got so much work done in the process.
Best wishes, Michala! Very exciting!
It was teaching first but I thought id do ES. In HS I fell in love with Literature and decided to combine the 2.
Totally subject matter and passion for reading and writing. Pedagogy was the hardes part at the beginning!
Im kind of up for this . Good Morning!
More like a few silent hours.
Good morning, wondering if I would be so tired if the Cubs had won last night? Ugh.
Good! May snow here today!
Good morning everyone! David MS Principal from VA here. Can't tell you how happy I am to be half done w/this week!
Also, My 10th grade ENG teacher told me that I would never be a teacher... so it became a competitive thing.
Good morning - I love learning and being a librarian offers me that opportunity every day
I hate that..why do people say dumb things. https://t.co/R05O0OpcPj
Also, My 10th grade ENG teacher told me that I would never be a teacher... so it became a competitive thing.
Parents were teachers! Just a passion to make a lasting difference I guess.
My dad was a superintendent. I found I just like working with kids. That is what got this whole thing started.
Yup. I get flashbacks to Sandy when we lost power for 10 days. PTSD
Subject matter. I was good at English, wanted to see the world so joined the Peace Corps right after college as a teacher.
Good morning. Stacey from NJ. Happy Wednesday,
Worked as counselor at church camp in college. Working w/kids was fun & seemed to come easy. Switched my major never looked back
I fell in love with music, and I wanted to do something that everyone could appreciate and work together doing. Bring all together
I always had patience with young people, and loved them then new things.
After I got a job I went back to visit. Because I am petty and small.
Just popped in for a few this morning, . Motherhood calls! Have a good one!
Good morning to my friends at .
Brian, HS principal from Mass.

It was teaching first but I thought id do ES. In HS I fell in love with Literature and decided to combine the 2.
ugh, they're threatening that for us tomoro - kids are already whispering "2 hr delay"
Good morning, . I'm Ku, Learning Coach, Argentina.
Even when I was 5 or 6, I remember trying to 2 year olds how to color in a coloring book
Depends on the year. Last year very little. Year before tons
Learning & teaching for me, first cert. was elementary. I only teach ELA and/or SS now in middle school and I science & math.
I hate the lead up to it.
I'm certified to teach and Just 2 subjects that I love.
For me, I always loved history, wanted to study & teach it, kinda got away from it but so glad I found the love of being a Ts
The teaching ... desire to make a difference in a kid's life in a manner that wasn't afforded to me is what pushed me to teach.
Yes! I need to remember to tweet more pics of our environment!
I had some really great Ts through the yrs, but it was a political science professor who inspired me to follow this path.
Doing well... fall break for the kids, but it's beating me up. :-) and you?
Sounds like us in VA... usually feast or famine!
the anticipation is usually worse than the event itself
Yeah, that and Halloween in the same 7 days..where is my wine?
WHAT! That's crazy, but glad it motivated you to proof that teacher wrong
I have to admit that I have had some amazing teachers in my life. I still think of them when im helping teachers now.
The desire to be a change agent and serve the needs of children...that's what got me interested in teaching.
She was just surly. the lovable grump type.
Maybe we'll try and figure out roughly how many miles away you are.
No. You are human. Which makes for excellent teaching material. I did something similar once. https://t.co/0NwabG6wdk
After I got a job I went back to visit. Because I am petty and small.
Good Morning! Excited for my day and the meeting this afternoon with the DOE commissioner on how to make teacher training better
Teaching found me. I had no intention of being in education.
I am grateful every day that the planets aligned.
Yes but feast for us is probably a Tuesday for and CT! https://t.co/3dRkYGA0Ms
Sounds like us in VA... usually feast or famine!
We are keeping a mystery Skype book and find the miles from each state that we "visit"
Pt. 2, plus I always loved learning & this puts me into perfect position to learn & grow forever. https://t.co/DUuSiVWyGc
I'd love to hear answers to 'Why do you stay in teaching?"
Though my dad wouldn't say he was a teacher, he was a football coach.
Great idea! We need to find another class to be in contact with.
I chose history b/c I had 2 great ones, (in MS and HS) I never wanted to miss their class. I hope I emulate them well
Good morning I fell into teaching by accident. "you speak fluent Eng? You can teach! Here's a textbook. Have fun." Trial by fire! :)
same here, it was like goin to a show ! https://t.co/NK23aIkK5p
I chose history b/c I had 2 great ones, (in MS and HS) I never wanted to miss their class. I hope I emulate them well
We may get some snow late tonight! 😊❄️☃️
The opportunity to work with kids. As the years go by, I realize I learn a lot from them. Hopefully, I'm more patient, creative
Because at the end of the day, it is the greatest profession ever.
I started wanting to be a scientist with a biology degree and found that I enjoyed teaching Ss science more than doing science
The kids--definitely the kids!
yes asbestos suits required https://t.co/sCp5RAyle4
Good morning I fell into teaching by accident. "you speak fluent Eng? You can teach! Here's a textbook. Have fun." Trial by fire! :)
I was changing careers, subbing was suggested- spent a day delivering books to classrooms, I've been in education every day since
Every year, I think about moving on, but I can't let my students down, can't let someone else teach them!
My mom was a teacher, and her mom...I had to dabble in corporate America before fully submerging myself in education. No regrets!
My next career will be ...appreciation, analysis, history. That is my new , so for
This hints at my age... things have changed a lot here since. Ts now actually need a teaching degree
I'll tell you, I stay in teaching b/c now a part of me. I love it. Just like I can't think of not being a husband & father
Coffey is a great teaching name! I think we all deserve a Coffey too!
This is my third reinvention. Broadcasting, corporate project management, now this. Next? Circus performer? Two prior prepared me.
That is a great way of thinking of it
When i get pissed about a work thing ill entertain other ideas but i'm not going anywhere.
So true..it is who I am! https://t.co/PQQ7ucgWLD
I'll tell you, I stay in teaching b/c now a part of me. I love it. Just like I can't think of not being a husband & father
I'm stubborn - every time someone asks what I will do when become extinct, I tack on another 5 yrs
I wanted to go back to grad school, took a course at UMAss in the MEd dept and loved it. Loving teaching came later.
you really are taking questions to the next level this week!

I cant watch TV without thinking about how I could teach the moral of the show.
I am! We haven't Skyped New Jersey yet! Dm me!
Me too. I use them as my models "how would Mrs. Lazar have taught this?"
or a lot. Who decided it was a good idea for Halloween on a Monday?
Teaching and being an educator makes every other profession a possibility.
I have so much love to give. Passion can't be taught but pedagogy can. I always felt the former and continue to refine the latter.
That was me and political science (sort of). I went to Early Childhood Ed instead.
Heading out a little early! Swamped again this morning since I fell asleep before finishing all I brought home last night.
Yeah. i think thats what I bring to the table.
Sounds like a good suggestion. I bet would appreciate it. https://t.co/e7dK04ThLs
I'd love to hear answers to 'Why do you stay in teaching?"

I'm stubborn - every time someone asks what I will do when become extinct, I tack on another 5 yrs
My reality too. I fell into it by luck and found my passion!
GM Sunshine! Checking in from So. Fl. My high school Eng. teacher influenced my decision to teach Eng. https://t.co/dbrbsI7qrR
I need to add some questions to the mix. been too busy lately.
Some days (years) this teaching love is like a dysfunctional marriage in need of therapy. In this simile, is one of the therapists
and Ss will remember the passion far longer then pedagogy & curriculum
Just don't be a clown! https://t.co/XvUIMcReGf
This is my third reinvention. Broadcasting, corporate project management, now this. Next? Circus performer? Two prior prepared me.
I feel us "later" teachers bring some diverse experiences to the table while I learn tons from lifelong educators.

I was subbing and earned a long term sub in Spanish, I don't speak Spanish, & fell in love with teaching

stay out of their way
Good morning family! Happy Wednesday to all! Kenneth HS admin from VA checking in!
I still want to make that difference for someone. Even if it's small and subtle, I want to bear witness to the learning.
Unless it is more than 8 in it is just another day here
I always wanted to teach from 4 yrs old on. Wavered in uni but switched back to teaching. Haven't looked back.
I needed a job and became a long term sub, by the end of the 1st day I was trying to figure out how to be a teacher

the reality is, other jobs will leave you with something missing in most cases
The way I see it, if you are up at 5:30 to learn, I want to teach with you! ! :)
I hated science in school. I was randomly assigned to teach it. I realized i could make learning Sci so much better for Ss.
Yes! Shall we pencil you in?

G'morning, . Combo motivation... Reading & writing opened doors for me so, for starters, I wanted to reciprocate for others.
Excellent illustration of reading's power! https://t.co/iERArwkNzc
