    A1 Didn't have students this year, so it is a bit difficult. But having the engagement from certain grade one students through virtual/global collaborations (between Ontario & Florida) is a win. Students who embarked on any adventure I would give and would shine. #waledchat

    A1: station teaching. I collected data comparing whole group instruction and conferencing/ small group during stations and how many times I talked to ss and how many diff ss I talked to during that time. Crazy results. I did a lot more stations after that! #waledchat

    Conquering the fear of poetry! As an ELA teacher, there is no greater joy than seeing my students' eyes lit with passion and curiosity with allusive poems. They were able to comprehend and connect with themselves with the poets' messages and language styles. 😊  #waledchat

    A2: I met the students here she was. I allowed her to perform after the class left for a bit. Then, I let her have a s on stage w her for assessment. I partnered her with strong, but kind, actors. I pushed enough, but not too much and was there to catch or celebrate. #waledchat

    A2 I added Seesaw this year. The ability for Ss to record and hear themselves really helped them to reflect on their fluency. They would even re-record a piece without prompting if they didn’t think it was fluent. I also added puppets/flannelboard stories to centers #waledchat

    Q3: The toughest loss was feeling like I failed my lowest reader. I failed her all year. I implemented a beginner reading curric, worked on finding GNs and low-leveled books that interested her. She didn't make any progress. I wish I could teach her for 10 more years. #waledchat

    I went to all my 3rd-5th grade classes and read this before testing and had a discussion about test anxiety and the importance of beeping in themselves as well as realizing all the things that tests don’t measure that are important. #waledchat
