A1 SBG is using ACTFL prof levels as benchmarks for performance. Ss must consistently perform at target level to meet standard. #langchat
  • MlleSulewski Jan 26 @ 8:09 PM EST
I think they're pretty similar in my mind but probably someone else knows better than I do! #langchat

#langchat A1 SBG means establishing expectations and reporting/giving credit when students meet them
  • dressurleben Jan 26 @ 8:13 PM EST
We paired down the 5Cs for reporting progress to parents. We call them "reportable standards" We only have rubrics for 3 modes #langchat
  • MlleSulewski Jan 26 @ 8:13 PM EST
So, inherently performance-based, then, wouldn't you say? #langchat
    In reply to @SraSpanglish
  • MlleSulewski Jan 26 @ 8:13 PM EST
A1 Ok so I guess my definition of SBG (right or not) is grading based on performance, not compliance. #langchat
  • krisfauch Jan 26 @ 8:14 PM EST

    In reply to @MlleSulewski
  • dressurleben Jan 26 @ 8:15 PM EST
We don't ignore the 5C's. We only report on the 3 comm modes. WHAT Ss say w/ their language meets standard of other 4's. #langchat
