Kristy Page, School Psychologist at Red River, Community, Adult Transition, RMAC, Lake Agassiz, and Twining. I like to wait for THEE call that there is no school :) #gfedchat
Jessie Erickson, CTP at Twining and South. Fire in the fireplace, heated throw blankets, and cuddling with pets. Sorry I am late, answering all the phone calls: UND and @joelschleicher 's voice. #gfedchat
A1: Create an advertisement for their restaurant in my desktop publishing unit. I contemplated doing the One Word with my homeroom and creating posters for their lockers. #gfedchat
A1: I think this would be a little difficult for some of my students, but I like the idea of being able to make posters that could so visuals for them #gfedchat
A1: There are endless options for Ss to create professional looking designs to show what they know: infographics, social media posts, logos, brochures, etc. Many uses for Ts too! #gfedchat

@chaaven you maybe said in the video and I missed it, putting kids to bed while watching, but can our students get a canva account with their school google? #gfedchat
A2: Have articulation and fluency students that are working at sentence or conversation level tell a story about a picture. Then listen and see if they can hear their own errors or identify stuttering instances. #gfedchat
A2: Use screencastify to create a google slide with a new tool for my inventor 3D CAD program. Each student in charge of a certain tool not covered in class!
#gfedchat
A2: Screencastify: Recording lessons for Ss who are gone or if you (the T) are absent, having students show they know or how to do something, would allow Ss to teach their peers a lesson #gfedchat
I can definitely see this used in classes way to record lectures with voice notes so the student can review the powerpoints at home while also listening to the lecture that may have gone with it. #gfedchat
A2: #gfedchat I use Screencastify a lot for speaking practice with my EL students. Now we use webcam only, but I want to expand so they are speaking over their work or to give a peer review over another Ss work.
A2: I use a lot for when I'm gone or kids need more explanation of things. I've had kids use to for presentations if they have severe anxiety or other reasons they can't present to the class. I've also used it for homework and share with parents to show projects. #gfedchat
A2: This one is a bit harder for me, maybe they could watch and critique their performance videos? They'd be able to pause and comment on how things are going in the song. #gfedchat

A2: the screencastify extension, could help teachers in 3-5 that want students to be able to animate and write at the same time to share on Seesaw #gfedchat
Practicing fluency, providing feedback on work, giving a speech, doing a performance, explaining a product (slideshow, infographic, etc), narrating a story or animation, giving instructions. Here is a great resource: https://t.co/slN1kPXhBf#gfedchat
Here is info regarding Ss under 13 to use Canva. Direct supervision by an authorized adult (teacher)...or you could have multiple Ss in a teacher account #gfedchat
A2: Recording Ss reading a story aloud for peers to watch, teachers leaving video lessons for math, reading, routines, etc or have Ss that quickly learn lessons record for other Ss,

A3: I don’t think this would work with elementary PE, but I’m willing to take classroom teachers ideas and hopefully adapt them to the PE setting. #gfedchat
A3: I am excited about this app! and am excited about my students making podcasts. I think this is another great option/choice for my students to tell me what they know. Maybe they could also do podcasts discussions about their lit circle books #gfedchat
I can definitely see this as a way to record books to audio so students can listen to novels (if not available by some magical reason) and as a way to create possibly a song for a classroom project. #gfedchat
A3: This would be a great tool for students to record reflections on a project or something they read/researched, create podcasts, create a rap/song. #gfedchat
Sharing stories, narratives, persuasive speeches, research, genius hour, reenacting old radio programs, interviewing a "historical" figure or character. Again, so many ideas for all content areas! #gfedchat
A3: Ss could use this when creating a fun way of doing a project when learning something knew & use it as a way to get thoughts together instead of writing. #gfedchat
I know the Audio Editor is a stretch for many of you. What if your students wanted to start a weekly podcast in your classroom? or they wanted to have their own podcast on their website. #ThinkBig#gfedchat
A3: I would have to play around with this more to fully understand the program. Does it have different affects like Garage Band? Or just a voice recorder? Would be great to hear my kindergartener reading and using it for evidence of his learning. #gfedchat
A3: I could see my 3-5 grade students that are working with expanding expression tool describe something over the podcast.. Have another group listen and try to figure out what they are describing..? #gfedchat
A3. I could use this as a project option at the end of our relationship novel study. They could create a podcast that showcases each group member as a different character from the novel. The interviews would take place after the novel as reflection #gfedchat
A3: #gfedchat I know other teachers have students create podcasts. I'm just not sure. It might be a good quick way for students to do a speaking exit slip or reflection??
