Thanks for joining in Ashley! Great you are joining in the convo!
Hi this is Kim and I teach 2nd grade at Tri Elementary
I don't even know what dotstorming is. So, I am a casual observer tonight.
I harvested the idea from another educator! I've been trying to find meaningful applications for the tool https://t.co/RfTfcIaN1a
That was a very cool activity!!!
Thanks, excited to be here and chat with some great educators
Q1 First, let’s focus on classroom spaces…
If you could design a perfect learning space, what would be your essentials?
Great to have you with us Kim!
Hi all, I'm Nathaniel former Military instructor, working to become a new educator
former French teacher here also
it's a tool similar to Padlet; it allows you to vote and comment on Posts. Here's what we did https://t.co/Zg0LnX7hkP
R1 tables w/white boards, collaborative space with maker capabilities
Awesome to have you with us Nathaniel!
R1 mobility, options for students, comfort, collaborative space
Pros and cons of higher educationhttp://ow.ly/Z3Ro302h9hd
R1 couches, ample floor space with soft rugs, a standing table area, round tables with stools, super speedy WiFi
R1: Love this Q! Tables, comfy areas to lounge + read, learning stations around the room.
We have an amazing crew of thought leaders in the chat tonight!!! Join in! It's not too late!
R1: easily movable seating, multiple seating options. After that I can work with anything else.
Definitely ample floor space and super speedy WiFi!
R1: comfortable spaces, many seating choices, charging stations, colorful, natural lighting not fluorescent!
R1 Essentials: natural lighting! Flexible seating that allows for zones. Washable surfaces (ideally) w/ space for display
R1 Perfect learning space includes some markers, fun pens, and good doodle paper for me.
Yes, love that you mentioned mobility! I often had my Ss move but we had limited space :) https://t.co/k0KtthW6zD
R1 mobility, options for students, comfort, collaborative space
Pursuing BSE elem at IUPUI
I think, too the space needs privacy areas for self learning
R1: Space! I've seen too many schools with huge hallways, commons, etc with crackerbox classrooms.
R1-I always think - what would the Ss like in order to learn, explore, share, collaborate. Different spaces!
R1Controlled color, varied seating, multiple zones, natural light, stable temperature, sound proof walls.
R1 a welcoming space with bright colors, natural lighting, spaces for individual or group work, and plenty of room for movement
R1 Flexible tables and seating, collaboration areas, storage, moderate tech, some color
A1. Mobility for learners and teachers, comfort, and space for interactive areas.
Q2 Why is it important for us to carefully plan and put together a great learning space for our students?
Agreed! RT : R1: Space! I've seen too many schools with huge hallways, commons, etc with crackerbox classrooms.
Smart, ! I like the inclusion of charging stations. infrastructure is key!
A1:Flexible seating, wobble stools, standing desks, bright and inviting room, enough room to move around, S centered
super speedy wifi that NEVER goes down!
R1 If you missed the Dotstorming Board, you can check it out here. You can even add new images! https://t.co/Zg0LnX7hkP
So true! We gotta have power!
Yes to movable seating! https://t.co/ZcX5JEqxzC
R1: easily movable seating, multiple seating options. After that I can work with anything else.
R2 everyone learns differently so we need to plan for all sorts of levels and learners.
R1: whiteboard tables, flexible seating, charging stations, and a huge class library. https://t.co/Z0XVmrRZ79
Q1 First, let’s focus on classroom spaces…
If you could design a perfect learning space, what would be your essentials?
I love the idea of soundproof walls - sensitivity to sound is a nightmare
R2 Learning spaces can make a huge difference for Ss and Ts. Space needs 2 b functional, inviting, and motivating/inspirational.
Agreed! The space should reflect our different learners & their needs!
R2 Environment has impact. If we are pushing more collaboration, , , etc. we need collab/flexible spaces.
R1: an ideal learning environment contains technology, comfortable choice seating, collaborative stations
R2: so every S finds their niche in the room!
R2 we need to think about color, lights, stuff. Is it going to distract the ad/hd kids? Will our lighting cause issues?
R2 your room design T an Ss roles in room, defines culture, sets tone.
YES!!! https://t.co/2PzMA03mun
R2 Learning spaces can make a huge difference for Ss and Ts. Space needs 2 b functional, inviting, and motivating/inspirational.
R2 Just like lesson planning, we need to have outcomes in mind so that we build a space that is conducive to that type of learning
R2: Why? We need to meet the needs of our students who are used to multitasking with everything they do.
Absolutely! Space reflects purpose in what we want for our students!
R2 Ss need to feel comfortable and safe in their space to learn best
R2 an environment conducive to learning and accepting of a productive struggle is a necessity to cultivate growth mindset
Hi I'm late. No, really I'm Kevin from in Indianapolis. Ready for the fastest 38 mins of the week.
our brain breaks can get a bit raucous. I share a collapsible wall w/ another class.
Hi Kevin! Saw you jumped in! Great to have you with us!
R2 can we move the space around? Can kids get up and go if they need quiet space and time?
R2: Ss need to feel welcomed to return daily and at ease
R2: There is certainly a connection btwn environment + the brain. Students need to feel comfortable being part of the class.
R2 It is all about the students, if they are comfortable and happy they are more prone to accept the information.
R2: spaces inclusive for groups, private for quiet learners. Altogether doesn't always work
Love being here. Busy week with this week. https://t.co/g6uYeMYc5V
Hi Kevin! Saw you jumped in! Great to have you with us!
Storage is my huge issue! https://t.co/RczRv8hxIh
R1 Flexible tables and seating, collaboration areas, storage, moderate tech, some color
That's what I found so interesting abt the warmup. Color schemes that appeal to some, may be a no 4 others https://t.co/mjGoaviF2d
R2 Learning spaces can make a huge difference for Ss and Ts. Space needs 2 b functional, inviting, and motivating/inspirational.
Hello my name is Tim and I'm an e coach in New Pal
R2 I think, too that changing sometimes keeps it fresh so it makes an impact.
So true!!! https://t.co/tRQdWubMkV
R2: There is certainly a connection btwn environment + the brain. Students need to feel comfortable being part of the class.
I grew up with collapsing classroom walls. Yipes. \
A2: Spaces need to work for Ss to be successful. We have to do what is best for Ss, not what is easy for Ts
R2: Ss need to feel comfortable and SAFE in the learning environment.
Q3 Now, let’s chat beyond the classroom...
What other spaces should we consider? Who are those spaces for?
definitely should be motivating! Sometimes we all need a little reminder to keep going
Agreed! I think of how I feel more inclined to read in Barnes and Noble or cafe than say a restaurant or park.
welcome to . You picked a great week to start joining!
storage is everyone's issue!
BOOM!!! https://t.co/ACPtu7xrnA
A2: Spaces need to work for Ss to be successful. We have to do what is best for Ss, not what is easy for Ts
I prefer greens blues tans to provide calm environment. would personally love room that looks like a rainbow barfed on it.
I arrange my room in pods, placing a charger at each pod for macs. Also Effective for collaboration
I loved tweaking our space throughout the school year...the kids would know something new was coming https://t.co/rOlwBxfY4N
R2 I think, too that changing sometimes keeps it fresh so it makes an impact.
R3 HALLWAYS! They should speak to the innovative and exciting things students are doing. They should feel inviting and inspiring
An organized + clean classroom w/out clutter helped my Ss feel comfortable. My Ss often vocalized that it made them happy.
R3: I saw at this week a school with a nap room for Ss. Collaborative seating tables in hallways and libraries.
R3: I saw at this week a school with a nap room for Ss. Collaborative seating tables in hallways and libraries.
R3 Outside and courtyards are always nice
R3 LIBRARY has tons of opportunities! And a lot of teachers let us fall to wayside. :(
R3 Media Center, Commons areas, lunch rooms. The spaces are for Ss.
R3: Media Centers aren't just libraries anymore. They can be makerspaces for Ss and adults. Open it to families too.
YES! Our hallways need to welcome, inspire, & tell the story of what is happening in our school!
Yes, exactly, ! https://t.co/BkuvRuEdYl
Agreed! I think of how I feel more inclined to read in Barnes and Noble or cafe than say a restaurant or park.
Oh yes, clutter can overwhelm many! Good point!
R3 cafe! Why can't the kids have more choice there? It's not like we eat there!
R3: wireless access. BYOD. Couches. Collaborative labs for Ss to work and engage experts in careers.
R3 my library is a commons too. Open space, private zones, lots of seating and a class area.
R3: Some space needed for Ss recording (audio/video)
I agree...when the room arrangement changes, Ss know something out of the ordinary is coming https://t.co/uPwjDXqRAT
I loved tweaking our space throughout the school year...the kids would know something new was coming https://t.co/rOlwBxfY4N
R2 I think, too that changing sometimes keeps it fresh so it makes an impact.
A3: Common areas, can and should be a learning area, set up chess/checkers.
YES! I think it is important we consider spaces for Ts & Ps throughout our school as well!
R3 Dream of revamping my w/collab spaces, mult zones, movable seating&tables, a , &keep the oodles of !
R3 hallways but especially the entrance; get Ss excited to learn the moment they walk in the door!
How about a teacher nap room? https://t.co/s9i4PLmjft
R3: I saw at this week a school with a nap room for Ss. Collaborative seating tables in hallways and libraries.
R3: Obviously media centers (since that IS my classroom 😊), but creating collaborative spaces in hallways is great too!
R3 again - I'd love to see hallways revamped in schools too. Maybe more student work. More seating. More color. Just more!
Our lobby was recently changed w/ many seating areas, conversational areas. Great for Ss, Ps, & Ts!
R3: Taught in SoCal so the lawn was always a treat for the Ss! We also had a garden -- went there for read alouds :)
R3: In my old school, there was a "public" piano and couches. Impromptu concerts often
I asked my Ss what furniture, supplies & colors they liked. Overwhelming response! They're pumped.
A3B:It would be cool to turn the cafeteria into a learning space, teaching Ss about food and nutrition, chemical reactions, cooking
Love this idea! Celebrate the students! https://t.co/EJqdqES4jw
R3 again - I'd love to see hallways revamped in schools too. Maybe more student work. More seating. More color. Just more!
Now that sounds great!!! Actually, we redesigned our staff lounge w/ color, comfy areas, inspirational quotes
That's right k-dawg. Gotta make spaces work for Ss, not Ts. Keep fighting the good fight.
R3) I use the gym in our building and other building for PBL learning. Ss love getting out of the room!
Decluttering can be difficult as a teacher, for sure. We gather so much stuff over the years! :)
R3: our common "office" workroom IA's use... Still seems so "desk and chair".
R3: wish I had a pic on my phone - we have an area right outside our main office w/ cafe table, couch, TV. Great for groups.
R3 I visited a Hoosier school with a huge commons space, room for 3-4 classes at once, tech chargers... Smart boards.
Greg, Northwest, IN. Jumping in late tonight. Vacation in VA getting in my way!
R3 Years ago https://t.co/tkisk7BIXO keynoted eRev before there was Summer eLearning. He shared a schl w/bread oven in the entry
Why not? Rested Ts, appreciated Ts, are happy Ts https://t.co/rp5SnRWoqW
How about a teacher nap room? https://t.co/s9i4PLmjft
R3: I saw at this week a school with a nap room for Ss. Collaborative seating tables in hallways and libraries.
I am just trying to model myself after this former great ELA teacher at FMS, don't know if you ever met him, a legend
Q4 What should those other spaces contain?
R3: My son was in a CAD class whose task it was to design booths for Ss recording, walls were 'windows', soundproof
Study hall, lunch time. https://t.co/sHgWmNq3Lo
A nap room! I haven't heard that one. Interesting! When were students allowed to use it?
I so agree, ! Libraries are amazing spaces for working + reflecting. https://t.co/EQ0RTKNNpL
R3 LIBRARY has tons of opportunities! And a lot of teachers let us fall to wayside. :(
Great you are joining in Greg!!! Better late than never!
Aww shucks. I'm blushing over here.
A piano! That is awesome!
Exactly, bringing S voice brings ownership to the classroom and they are going to buy in day 1
I loved how Ts labeled white boards in staff lounge "tell me something good!" https://t.co/H6glw4DuFY
Now that sounds great!!! Actually, we redesigned our staff lounge w/ color, comfy areas, inspirational quotes
R4 cafe should contain seating that promotes eating AND socializing. Let them talk for goodness sake.
I believe it is important that yes, we focus on Ss spaces, but when we model other spaces for Ts & Ps, our Ss spaces transform too
R4: Student work, inspirational quotes, work stations for collaboration and research.
R4 I enjoy the cafe idea, comfortable+optional seating, wifi, tables with games/puzzles, makerspace, outlets, coffee bar? (too far?)
R4 sofas, chairs, cafe tables, pods of meeting areas, (interactive/regular) whiteboards, openness and bright colours
R4 student work, collaborative spaces, colorful inspirational quotes, plenty of supplies for impromptu maker ed
when you have a chance, add the pic to the Dotstorming board!
We need spaces where Ts feel comfortable sharing, celebrating, learning together too!
Ts want to feel like work is a special place for them too! Celebrate the school as a whole! https://t.co/XJ6BdT0kAK
I believe it is important that yes, we focus on Ss spaces, but when we model other spaces for Ts & Ps, our Ss spaces transform too
R4: How about interactive white boards for collaboration between classrooms within the school, and around the world
R4: comfortable seating, more light, supplies needed so there aren't [short] trips back to classrooms 4 supplies!
never know until you try, some Ss really enjoy classes like Foods, creates authentic experiences
Bonus Q4: What’s it like when admin, Ts, Ss, Ps walk into the building? The vibe?
You got it! Our spaces should empower every person who walks through the doors to be invited to learn, share.
love idea of student work. Shows ownership.
R4: I see some grant writing, Facebook Marketplace purchases, and donations coming!!
R4 all sort of washable surfaces & white board pens. We have to trust students to be respectful and own the spaces they learn in
are you meaning during their 30 min lunch or outside that time?
Q4 - Student work, seating, items, color - maybe a mural by students, tech options, whiteboards...lots of possibilities!
Yes! Ts need to be able to feel like a part of a team. So often stuck in room and feel alone.
Loving all these ideas so much. I say we all design a school together! ;)
R4 student work, pics of student leaders, collaborative spaces, blank walls with materials to add ideas, motivational posters
BR4: Think about the mood change in the school? The fire that can be ignited for learning. The safe environment for Ss
Smoothie bar everywhere! I like that better anyway. :)
Yes, exactly!! https://t.co/cmCewVmnvv
You got it! Our spaces should empower every person who walks through the doors to be invited to learn, share.
love the idea of washable surfaces
This chat is flying! Wow! I can't keep up with all this goodness! I am FIRED UP!!!
R4 Bonus: Screams "welcome, we're glad you're here. Let's do something great today."
BA4:Ppl can just feel the culture/vibe of a building. When a new S walks into the building/ room they know, have to work at it
Bonus Q4) our Ps and Ts make sure our building has an air of positivity and we are displaying student work
Oh yeah, now we are talkin'!!!
Bonus R4 Should be exciting, motivating, but often hallways/common areas drab/boring almost prisonish
R4: I am not sure that I would ever want to leave. This is groundbreaking and can radically change education for the +
Outside that time, You could incorporate math and science in there. They say baking is an exact science
Q5 Makerspaces are trending. Where does this space fit in our schools?
that's bc we are on energy saver = no lighting = creepy
BR4 a building can't be stagnant like 10 years ago. Kids are different. They thrive with color, change, etc.
BR4 a building can't be stagnant like 10 years ago. Kids are different. They thrive with color, change, etc.
those white board are encouraging!
There is a definite vibe when you walk in a school, classroom. We want positive, inviting, open.
R4: think of how open concept buildings of the 70s and 80s would be different with this idea and concept.
ohhh, then I concur with your suggestion. Misunderstood.
Bonus R4 the vibe should be positive and pull you in--ideally there is a sense of community
R5) maker spaces should fit the curriculum as well as Ts personality. Should work seamlessly
R4: take away schedules for classes. Kids come and go when they want to work on a project. Ts are facilitators of knowledge.
Good to set expectations in advance, have them understand the big WHY for flex spaces.
R5: Anywhere! Media center, common area, lunchroom, classroom, outside
R5 we have a small one in lib. Starting to catch on, but needs publicized.
R5 we have a small one in lib. Starting to catch on, but needs publicized.
R4: we have a couple of faux chandeliers in media center. Very eye catching. Lots of art displayed all over school Thx to art T
R5 it's often in the library where all Ss can benefit from pooled resources
R5 Makerspaces should BE our classrooms! There's always an opportunity to get hands on and get innovative!
R5 - I hope to start a in my library this year! But I'd also like to see it trickle into classrooms a bit too.
R5: I am looking to start a this year and I would love to see it in our Media center. Common space and Comfy!
R4: My last tweet is radical and might not be popular; however, it allows for Ss needs and incorporates technology and the such
That sense of community is HUGE! The space is there for ALL!
R4B*: Excitement! Eager! Find the Ss who aren't smiling and engage them, find out what they need
Absolutely, ! The environment/experience has to be part of the culture and taught initially so there is value
Yes! Yes! Yes!!! https://t.co/ChOASrtuRC
R4: take away schedules for classes. Kids come and go when they want to work on a project. Ts are facilitators of knowledge.
R5: in every shares space or common area of the building! That includes classrooms.
R5: Ours is in the Media Center. But, like everyone else, I need more space for it!
R5 YES!! https://t.co/oD0p1hqhq3
R5 Makerspaces should BE our classrooms! There's always an opportunity to get hands on and get innovative!
R5: Makers is what we do with all of this. It is one giant MakerSpace.
This. Yes. https://t.co/xVbwuiT0yF
R5 Makerspaces should BE our classrooms! There's always an opportunity to get hands on and get innovative!
R5 I started one but having trouble getting it to catch on. Mainly cause of time. Gonna be a goal this year.
Great point here! They should BE our classrooms! Yes! https://t.co/B898YBbBNS
R5 Makerspaces should BE our classrooms! There's always an opportunity to get hands on and get innovative!
Radical, perhaps, but our team has been advocating for this for years! It can work. https://t.co/f6sM0gibf8
R4: take away schedules for classes. Kids come and go when they want to work on a project. Ts are facilitators of knowledge.
A5:It needs to be in an area where Ss that want to use it have easy accessibility to it
It is on their schedule. They have to complete it. It truly helps with differentiating for Ss https://t.co/1kT7127nim
Interesting concept. How would you keep them from avoiding the classes they don't particularly like?
You would make Dewey proud, ! https://t.co/2XgS1LhwZx
R4: My last tweet is radical and might not be popular; however, it allows for Ss needs and incorporates technology and the such
Keep it going Kevin! It is vital we continue to push forward!
R5: Everywhere, ideally ;) how many MSs does a school average?
...this is a cool idea! 😄 https://t.co/FuPTgFQeb5
R4: we have a couple of faux chandeliers in media center. Very eye catching. Lots of art displayed all over school Thx to art T
chemistry was on my schedule and I, ahem, ditched that a time or five
We have to change education NOW. This does it. Allows abstract thinking, problem solving, etc. https://t.co/guYQIP5nfU
You would make Dewey proud, ! https://t.co/2XgS1LhwZx
R4: My last tweet is radical and might not be popular; however, it allows for Ss needs and incorporates technology and the such
A2: It should be a space Ss ❤️ to learn! Ss ❤️ sitting in comfortable, flexible seating arrangements! https://t.co/WK2pYK1jnp
Q2 Why is it important for us to carefully plan and put together a great learning space for our students?
Wow, this is amazing! https://t.co/upC791BCcv
Radical, perhaps, but our team has been advocating for this for years! It can work. https://t.co/f6sM0gibf8
R4: take away schedules for classes. Kids come and go when they want to work on a project. Ts are facilitators of knowledge.
And you wouldn't pass. Again, you have to complete the tasks and you can do it in 1 week or 18. https://t.co/88IPjew0NZ
chemistry was on my schedule and I, ahem, ditched that a time or five
R5 I love seeing everyone's responses to this question! We had such a great convo on integrating MakerEd in curriculum last month
Q6 How do we build a makerspace? Where do we begin?
I meant that schedules aren't what gets kids to do things.
Yes! 👏 These are spaces where students learn the most, where they can be most interactive!
R6 Collaborate with Ts and Ss who have done already as well as Ts and Ss in building to see what wanted
Welcome to Twitter! Follow K teachers
R6 I found stuff kids might like. Legos, duct tape, adult colouring books, computers to take apart,
R6: This is the Question Ive been asking myself and others all summer. I am starting with donated items and moving slowly forward
I understand. But if you don't complete it, you don't get credit. https://t.co/XLztMTgxGh
I meant that schedules aren't what gets kids to do things.
R6: Start small. Introduce a few things, see what takes off, build from there. I suggest a donation drive for consumables.
I think this is the future of education though! We need to better prepare Ss for "real" life! 😃
R6 I started with surveys. Kids told me what they wanted. We have games too...not maker but they have to think!
R6: Open source plans and community support - someone has skills, someone has materials, volunteers.
R6: The blueprint is right here. You are right, we need to build and run our school with this passion here
check out he has great info. Says start with basics and ideas and then get what needed
It's a team effort. As said earlier, makerspaces should BE everywhere. Start w/ a space, inspire it to spread!
R6 That's what I've been trying to figure out! Maybe have a drive for donated items. Apply for grants. Start small& build up.
Thank you for sharing this! It always helps to see how others started the process!
Many times, the low-tech items are found in teacher's cabinets! A great place to start!
R6 Create a wishlist of reusables>share w/EVERYONE; scour clearance aisles (duct tape is treasure!), and ask kids what they want
R6: Gotta get all stakeholders on board. Get business and industry to help sell the ideas. This is how Facebook & Apple work
R6: Start hoarding cardboard.
And even origami can be "made" - have stamps/ink and paper/papercutter to create original paper https://t.co/ZvZ8Mn5WKk
R6: Location! You need a good space.
We have a classrm dedicated to a . I am putting a mini-makerspace in my own room too, w/low-cost supplies.
Word of mouth is powerful. Have a family night with a few materials to spark interest!
A6: We did a makerspace for 1 of our enrichment opportunities during our intervention period, Ss loved it
Awesome! Thanks. I am looking for some thing just like this!
R6: I'm already thinking of changing my science lab room to allow more collaborative environment. Flex seating.
YES! Always ask kids first...they are a wealth of info!
community recycle electronics . Kids take apart 2 learn&for parts, often recycle centers take free cuz hard work alrdy done
I have no chairs or desks. It's amazing.
awesome! Science needs to be that way!
Q7 Designing learning spaces takes a creative budget. Where can we get these materials?
Next Q is similar to what we are discussing right now. Keep sharing ideas!
How do we maintain these spaces? They can get expensive over time!!!
R6: I had one S who carted in his own 3-D printer from time to time... Ss can squirrel supplies for their own maker spaces
is science teacher... cool ideas (yes mentioned again, just saw him at a conference)
A7:Ask for donations, look for grants, see what your school has in surplus
We re-purposed our distance learning lab, b/c let's face it -- all classrooms can be DLLs now.
R7: donations- ask friends, family, colleagues, raid cabinets, check goodwill on 1st Saturdays, donors choose grants
R7: Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, local garage sales, GRANTS, BUSINESSES, DonorsChoose, um yeah....
R7 If you're okay w/ an eclectic look, garage sales are for you.
R7 I had some $ from book fair. But, grants, local business will donate.
R7 donations ($ and stuff), grants, fundraisers, recycle centers
Sometimes, it is as simple as walking around the school & finding furniture, items that can be re-purposed!
R7: Reach out to family if they have surplus they're willing to give up as donations.
It was a PD for and there were other districts. Good list of national speakers https://t.co/sry6i4U2ZM
Please tell me more about . Haven't heard of it. I live near Indy.
R7 I use to ask stores for displays when they were out of season-got some cool stuff that way! Look at what you have creatively.
R7 my birthday and Christmas wish lists are all things for my classroom. Like I really need another scarf...
YES. Depending on the school, this is very true. We have so much stuff in storage around our building we can use.
R7 auctions! there is often craft supplies,
We had a family night & our Ps brought in a TON of donations once they saw it in action!
R7: Ask friends, family, businesses for STUFF. Check out storage rooms at school. Trash can be turned into treasure. :)
auctions are a totally underutilized resource.
Great idea! I always love displays! So creative!
R7: my biggest professional struggle. I usually just purchase what I need!
R7 Ask about your school/district's budget for furnishings. Perhaps flex seating is less than 30 new desks. Re-evaluate.
The lights will be seen for miles! https://t.co/GVHDJWZSFD
Build it, and makers will come. Makers will come, Amy. They'll come to the MS for reasons they can't even fathom.
R7 - Thinking about starting with donations, dollar store, grant applications, small purchases& (craft books)
I like that. We need to open up our buildings to the public MORE to showcase what we do.
R7: drive around neighborhoods in the HRD on trash night. Sounds weird but amazing what people throw out
It is a powerful practice! Share our story! Showcase it! Invite everyone!
Garage sales, ask people to let you look before they pitch. Lots of people donate to goodwill. Ask to see it first.
And then, they'll make things that use light & power. And it'll be able to fly. And you'll be like "How did u do that?"
There should be a tv show that challenges teachers to create something from junk that can be incorporated it into their classroom.
Just saying people...if we do this within our schools, this will vault Ss success and make international news. Just saying
