Hello - I am Melissa from HOT PA (so hot that some schools dismissed early today). Our schools just went back yesterday. I am an online ed tech coach. #ETCoaches
Wow - happy first day to you! Our kids had their first day yesterday and ONE of my own children got dismissed at 11:30 today due to no A/C. The other two are still at school. lol #ETCoaches
A3. Keep yourself organized, available on all platforms, organize by project and date, and more. You can set it to recur "every Monday" or daily, etc.. Many options. LOVE @Todoist and have used for quite a few years. Best part - it is FREE! #ETCoaches
Those are all EXCELLENT examples. There are many options out there, for sure. I tried @trello and couldn't get into it. I have stuck with @Todoist. I love the simplicity and don't need bells and whistles like some have (Google Keep for example) #ETCoaches.
In reply to
@ssseason7, @Office365, @GoogleForEdu, @trello, @SlackHQ, @trello, @todoist
In my experience, Keep is for more "visual" folks while @todoist is more basic black/white appearance. And I actually think Keep has more options. #ETCoaches
A2: Really depends on what the teacher is looking for. Most fall into two categories - tools for T to automate tasks and tools for S to use to create. #ETCoaches
A4. This could be useful for coaches who need to make a case for their positions. Show how much time is needed for certain tasks and meetings. #ETCoaches
A5. I also love Google Forms. I use it for surveys, collecting data, creating applications for conferences or programs, formative assessment #ETCoaches
A6. Katie suggests using these two extensions to quickly split screen during trainings! These cool extensions were new to me. But I look forward to checking them out. #ETCoaches
A7. Create a great looking newsletter. You can add pictures, text, videos, and other content in a very quick and easy way. Smore also counts views so you know whether or not people looked at it. #ETCoaches
Ruth’s trio of tools are all related to creating a “welcome back or what’s new” message for teachers. Use these to introduce yourself to teachers and share for teachers to use in their classrooms. #ETCoaches
A8. Use in classrooms and offer to co-teach to introduce students to this tool. If you are using it to share information with teachers, Sway also counts views. You can see how many teachers actually looked at the Sway (good feature for a teacher using it in class). #ETCoaches
A9. Use to create very easy and cute explanation videos. If you publish to YouTube, you can count views and see if the teachers looked at it. #ETCoaches
A9: I love the idea of explainer videos. I found out about @teambiteable this summer when looking to repalce a tool that "went away". Deffinately have to explore it a bit more #ETCoaches
A10. I use Google Keep mostly for my to-do list and for setting reminders. It's like electronic sticky notes that can be shared with others. #ETCoaches
A11. Use Sites to create and maintain a website. Include tools, tips, tutorials, learning opportunities and more for teachers to refer back to as they need it. #ETCoaches
Yes, I like the sticky note feature. I think that if I didn't have an established "relationship" with @todoist, this would be my second choice. I love the to-do list options that can be shared easily (even with a spouse for groceries)! lol #ETCoaches
Q12. Triple E Rubric for App Evaluation is Tech Tool #10. https://t.co/qV7MAAaGVK As our final tech tool, why do you think that this was one of Pam’s top picks? #ETCoaches
A14: Sometimes modeling is best. I would use the new tool to share information via email or the LMS, in a faculty meeting or during a demo lesson #ETCoaches
