My primary reason for aligning with one and not both is to better support the #EdTech leap Ts need to make. Less confusion with only one option
A2: In CCSD, we are a @MicrosoftEDU district, so I am definitely most comfortable with that! I have used G Suite in the past, but definitely prefer #Office365 ... some of the tools in O365 just can’t be beat. #TECHtalkGA
I'm not sure you get the luxury of picking one or the other anymore. My district is O365, but I make sure my students know how to use g-suite since they'll encounter both in the real world.

#TECHtalkGA A3: My only real experience w/Office 265 has been a personal use of @msonenote for grad school (M.Ed a gazillon years ago, EdD now).
I know that I'm not using it to the full potential, though!
It’s not so much a luxury as it is a best practice when supporting an effective and sustainable culture shift. Granted, our situation is uniquely ours. Eventually welcome both; our Ts have PCs & Ss have Chromebooks for a reason. But in our process now is not the time #TECHtalkGA
Ease of use makes this my favorite tool! Kindergarteners can use @sway just as easily as a high school student... a powerful creation tool that shifts the focus to the content- less time spent on design. #TECHtalkGA
A4: Again, I’m running with @sway - students of all ages take ownership and invest in their creations. It empowers students to showcase their learning efficiently and effectively! Big win! #TECHtalkGA

#TECHtalkGA A3: I will say that the #Office365’s Outlook Calendar was far superior to Google Calendar when I was using it. They are nearly equal now, but that Calendar ruled my life!

When I think of engagement, I think of ownership- students actively investing in something... not just being compliant. I really think @sway gives even the youngest students the opportunity to showcase their learning
Loved it! No paper and I liked sending forms or graphic organizers to each students’ notebook with a touch of a button! Plus I could view all work from my phone!
We are not 1:1, but teachers across the district are leveraging @OneNoteEDU - especially Class Notebook. It can be implemented in so many different ways, so BYOD initiatives and shared school devices can support access. #TECHtalkGA
Yep! Apparently so! I was surprised and a little weirded out by it 😂 Firefox now even has profiles a la Chrome, but the UI on a MacBook was just atrocious! #TECHtalkGA
