Tonight we are talking about what you learn from chats. We're looking for those tweets you really liked and also how you learn using #TXHSFBCHAT and others
A1)I think the networking has been the biggest benefit. The individual chats are great and you can pick some great ideas, but the true value is in the community as a resource. #txhsfbchat
A1: 1- Allow to network without leaving the house or family 2- allows Dinosaurs to Pay it Back to the game we love and pass on some wisdom & save some heartaches. 3- Old Dog can ALWAYS learn new tricks - day I stop learning throw me on burn pile please #TXHSFBCHAT
A1: the more you learn, the better you become as a coach. I also think it is a great, free platform to network with coaches all over the country. #TXHSFBCHAT
A2: The everyday planning/drills that other coaches utilize is incredible. Love the opportunity to find ways to be more efficient and effective with our time. #TXHSFBCHAT
A1: They have reaffirmed several beliefs, given me new perspectives and ideas, and helped me to develop a network to regularly bounce ideas off of. #TXHSFBCHAT
A1: Twitter chats are essential to healthily feed my need for learning! I simply have no choice! Chats are the only "fix" possible! #txhsfbchat#AirRaidChat
A1) I work outside of the classroom with enrollment- and admissions busy season is during clinic season - this allows me to clinic and not miss out the n some of the best info, better than many clinics I’ve been to! #TXHSFBCHAT
Learning about how you can manipulate defenses by putting formations to the boundary. This is huge against 4-3 teams that set their strength to the formation. #txhsfbchat
A2: Narrowing to one thing is tough...the thing I have used most often are drills or adjustments to drills I really liked and applied to my OL #TXHSFBCHAT
A2: Interesting ways to mix up sideline signals. And ways to change o-line splits. And route combinations that make perfect sense from a QB's perspective. #TXHSFBCHAT
A2: I didn't learn about RPOs from a chat, but certainly have picked up numerous teaching points along the way, which has helped me develop current system complimenting our option #TXHSFBCHAT
A2: I found kindred Spirits offensively that reinforced my basic offensive beliefs and gained some new ways to use WB in our 1/2 Flexbone Offensive Sets. Also saw a lot of reinforcement of the use of 2 TE to balance up D's #TXHSFBCHAT
A2: I didn't learn about RPOs from a chat, but certainly have picked up numerous teaching points along the way, which has helped me develop current system complimenting our option #TXHSFBCHAT
A1: I have gained a whole new perspective w/the chat groups. I'm a part of a few different ones, and it has really increased my learning across the board. Plus, the networking is priceless! #TXHSFBCHAT
If you want to do big things, you have to do the little things! So true! And having philosophy or approach affirmed! Nice to hear other people believe in similar mindsets! #TXHSFBCHAT
The 4-2-5. Was looking for a system that fit our players at a small school without much of a pop warner program. Needed something that allows them to play fast. #TXHSFBCHAT
A2: I’ve taken too many great things to pick just one. There’s an unbelievable amount of information out there between all the chats. The coaching community is a special one. #TXHSFBCHAT#AirRaidChat#HogFBChat#MeshPoint#FlexboneChat
A2) Making the front and coverage work together instead of the left hand not knowing (or caring) what the right hand is doing - ways to make the offense left handed (or just plain uncomfortable) #TXHSFBCHAT
I have followed too many coaches according to Twitter! WTH! I can't follow any more of you geniuses to glean your expertise & lure you to attend/speak at our wonderful clinic March 23-24! I need to get my followers up. Help, please! I won't annoy you! #TXHSFBCHAT#AirRaidChat
A3)I have pick up some EDDs for corners, never played it or coached as a position group. As a DC I give the position group coach slack to shape his EDDs but I always like having things ready if asked. #txhsfbchat
A3) Some great trips adjustments. In particular an adjustment where safeties roll to one Wr side. Simple but we always rolled to trips side. Shows how much I know. #TXHSFBCHAT
A3: Most of the defensive info/ideas I’ve taken have been from the #swarmfbchat & #425chat . We transitioned to a base 4-3 look, with some 4-2-5 stuff against Spread. Chats helped a lot, along with visiting teams that ran a similar defense. #TXHSFBCHAT
A1: new ways of looking at things. It could be the same exact thing I'm dealing with but seeing it through someone else's eyes helps you understand it better! #txhsfbchat
A2) Some affective but simple pre snap RPOs. We may have a very young QB next year so need to make it as easy as possible on the young guy. #TXHSFBCHAT
Twitter has cut me off! My ratio isn't right! Please follow this account if you like attending clinics or presenting at clinics! Or may want to present at clinics in the future! Thanks! #TXHSFBCHAT
A4) to art of organization. The art of data management. The art of managing people, team building, & everything in between. I enjoy picking the brains of the vet coaches !!! #TXHSFBCHAT
A4: I don't remember if they were all from chats, but book recommendations, additional chats, incoming freshman signing day, various player competitions #TXHSFBCHAT
A4:Benchmarks for off-season lifting! Chunk up the off-season so you can set shorter timeframe goals. Just like in teaching. Don't let students procrastinate, or they certainly will! They'll do nothing until the hay has to go in the barn! Check progress, reflect, grow #TXHSFBCHAT
A4: As a coach, we must all have an activity to debrief, relieve stress, so that we remain fresh, competent, and energized for our athletes! Reading, audio books, physical activity, lifting with fellow coaches, etc. #TXHSFBCHAT
A4) The best part about Twitter is the opportunity to build relationships with people smarter than you and people who have been in your shoes. Also, it just stimulates a lot of ideas for you to run with. #TXHSFBCHAT
A4) Too many culture, offseason competition drills/games and team building ideas to count. Always looking ways to get our guys to compete in the offseason. #TXHSFBCHAT
#TXHSFBCHAT So true! We cannot be people we aren't, but we can run with others' ideas! Our situations aren't the same; we aren't in the same places w the same resources w the same cultures or players; but we seem to have a singular goal: help student-athletes in important ways!
One of the biggest benefits from these chats are breakdown some of the old school secret squirrel society. The thought of "over sharing" or "exposing" your program has greatly diminished. #txhsfbchat
A5: Love the variety chats provide, from Option to air Raid, Even & Odd Defense, & that doesn’t even include the variety this chat provides. #TXHSFBCHAT
A5: I'd like to talk about integrity in coaching? Being able to tell a fellow coach where they stand with the program and what you truly think about their contributions to the team. Also, about helping coaches with ambition move on and not avoiding or lying. #TXHSFBCHAT
A5)I really want to bring back the #ironchat I think it helped a ton of dudes out & I enjoyed the chaos. If I can ever get my schedule under control, it will be the 1st thing I do. #txhsfbchat
Hilarious! I remember the days when sharing film was all manipulative & surreptitious / clandestine! You had to form alliances & build secret societies to stay in the know! Annoying! Hysterical! Now, just share all the films possible via @HudlFootball and do it right! #TXHSFBCHAT
A5: Dealing with difficult parents or boosters. Also how to deal with losing a job properly- difficult topic but one young guns should hear JMHO #TXHSFBCHAT
A5) Ways to avoid burnout. I love being an HC but with very little help during the day it’s hard to get done what you think needs to get done by yourself. #TXHSFBCHAT
South Dakota coaches are thinking of ways to help these "young guns"! It's essential! If we don't, imagine how many fewer advocates for the game we all hold so dear will exist! Cataclysmically terrible! The worst could come! @Mr_Stadem#TXHSFBCHAT@SVGuybrarian@MrRyan_Evans

Make no mistake, Xs & Os are cool-fun to discuss with elite minds but for folk like myself, I seek a deeper understand of program management. Besides, some day we all strive to run our on programs the right way. #TXHSFBCHAT

A6) Have hosted, would guest host. Word to the wise, you better hydrate, seriously it is crazy intense and fast paced leading a chat. And you'll speed about 4-5 hours crafting the questions, but totally worth it. #txhsfbchat
My respect for H.S. coaches continues to grow. Without fail, the conversations from parents in the stands couldn’t be more harmful to putting together a real TEAM. If you can get kids to buy-in to something greater than themselves, you are doing a hell of a job!
