I read somewhere that it takes 40 hours before you truly understand something new. Hmm..it made me think of many of the drive by PDs/ 1 and done. #bfc530
I honestly don’t know. We had a speaker (which is rare in my district) and she was awesome. But a whole day in the auditorium was a lot. But I really liked the spin she put on mindset. #bfc530
Yes and no. I appreciate the time, but I love to learn theory and innovative ways people are doing things. But I am grateful for the time. But when it is all you do.. #bfc530
I love the #EdCamp model, but it really isn’t for everyone. For staff mtgs I like when my genius peers present some relevant passion they have & I get to practice it. More meaningful breakouts less talking heads. We all love to learn & know what good learning looks like! #bfc530
Yes!! Prioritize needs, choose few. Provide small group on-going sessions with follow up in PLCs, team meetings or staff meetings. Deliver PD using a teaching strategy Ts can implement quickly. Feed the hungry. #bfc530
All these great replies to what Ts want in PD. What’s effective for them, modeling differentiation, and yet some admin don’t adjust/change. Change the culture. #BFC530
