When I need to appraise contents that I’m not familiar with, I have to quickly jump in the learning to be able to provide useful and accurate feedback. #HISDAdminChat
A1. Discomfort comes when I'm new at something and I dont feel effective at it. I use to think that effective leadership was "knowing it all." It's not. I take on new challenges and utilize talents around me to ease discomfort. #HISDAdminChat

Noooo. I’m uncomfortable because I feel bad for them thinking I don’t know how fake they are. I just sit there and listen but is uncomfortable to see how they go to great lenghts to prove they are right. Is just draining #IKnowYOU#Reputation your #HISDAdminChat

When I learn about struggles in my staff members’ personal lives, it’s discomforting. But knowing that I’m able to support them and be a leader both inside and outside of the work setting let’s me know that I’ve found the place where a leader is needed! #HISDAdminChat
Making courageous moves come with a lot of work, change, overcoming of people’s opinions, making others unhappy, therefore sometimes it’s just easier to not pick that fight. #HISDAdminChat
A2: With comfort comes being normal, therefore, when it is time to be courageous, everything is overshadowed by fear and set backs. I rather be a risk taker than considered “comfortably ordinary” 🤷🏾♂️ #HISDAdminChat
A2. Sometimes being comfortable can be confused with being complacent. When it gets to that point, it's time to get moving. Lol. Be daring, up and move to Austin! Lol. #HISDAdminChat

A1: seeing scholars show up day in and day out with the same dirty clothes on! Then when the parent shows up to pick them up it’s worse! We get their best... #HISDAdminChat
A3). Too much courage could lead to too many undertakings or initiatives without clear focus or vision. Also, I think too much courage could lead to hasty, poorly thought out decisions. #HISDAdminChat
I think that with everything there needs to be some balance, it’s okay to have comfort in something that has been finely crafted and doesn’t need drastic change. #HISDAdminChat
A3. You have to be comfortable at times. Who wants to be miserable? There has to be a balance. I'm going to push, but take care of you at the same time. It's a partnership. We push and support each other to receive the best possible outcome! #HISDAdminChat
A3 there has to be a moment where people learn to keep on growing and what was uncomfortable before might not longer be uncomfortable. We need to reassure people that they are on their way to be better. It can’t be all about making people uncomfortable #HISDAdminChat

Absolutely! When the pressure is on and you forget to take care of folks, they leave and nothing really gets accomplished. Listen to the people in the work with you, not the naysayers and people providing pointless pressure. It's a balance. #HISDAdminChat

Because comfort just feels good. People don't usually want to be taken from their comfort zone. However, comfort (Good) is the enemy of great! Growth and progress come from only a state of discomfort #HISDAdminChat#EverythingGrowsAtHobby
