    A3: Goal setting is so important!! I use a @JSerravallo stategy for reading goal bookmarks - and I also use it for writing goals for my students. It takes time, but it so important - and it’s so encouraging for Ss to keep track of all the goals they’ve accomplished! #TXed

    Set the highest of high expectations. Expect more from your students than you every believe possible. They will rise up and meet those expectations. Kids are fearless and they want to succeed. I believe in them, and in return, they believe in themselves. #TXED

    100% agree - and sometimes in that discussion you find the goal needs modification or that the S needs something more from you in order to take next steps. Conversation/relationship between teacher and student is key to Ss achieving their goals! #txed

    To get the goal setting process started for my Kinder Ss, I draw pictures on post-it notes that represent a couple different goals kinder Ss could work on. Ss come to my desk 1 at a time to choose a goal they want to work on and place it on a "bookmark" to remember/discuss. #txed
